Hey kevin great work buddy I've a question for u if I may , I've a 1981 KE125 and really been chasing a poor spark for to long I've changed the stator , the points, the condenser , the spark plug , coil and still really poor , so in wanting to go CDI what parts do I need to buy to do the swap would be really appreciated buddy and get an other old KE out running and being enjoyed again
Hey Kevin, thanks for all the great info. Would you consider doing a video on making and using the timing tool? It's an awesome idea! I have a spare flywheel that I could use and would save me messing around through the little window.
Hi Kevin, enjoy your videos, trying to get spark on a 72' TS90 Suzuki. Looks very similar to your Kawasaki's. Starting from a bare stator plate with new points, condenser and primary coil only. Do you have a video showing how basic wiring is ran between points, condenser, primary coil then into ignition coil? Great instructions, thank you!
so I'll have 3 wires on condenser, one from points, one from primary coil and one from ignition coil? Please excuse my lack of experience. Trying to learn, thanks for your patience. @@2strokeguru
Kevin I'm stuck on spark issues with an 87 kd80m. Went over the wires and they seem to be in decent shape. I would like to avoid replacing parts that may not even be the problem. Not getting any spark at all.

Hi sir nice videos. I have a 1975 kawasaki g3sse 100. Was wondering if I would be able to change it over from 6 volt to 12 volt? An do you know where I can find a rebuild kit for the carb?
@@2strokeguru kev I know they only made the g3sse from 72-75 but would a newer year meaning 76 An up be the same motor just different models of the bike?
why when your rotating that cam, the timing line isnt lined up with the other line when the gap is open on the points? i thought everything has to be lined up when you gap it. your timing line was way past the mark on the engine
Line 1 is TDC top dead center line 2 is firing when spark happens some magnto unfortunately only have 1 line reason the magnto is used on different models
Hey bud. I see you love the ke100's too. I've got a 95 right now I'm working on. Haven't tore into it yet, but are all the years of this bike points ignition or did the later years get cdi? Keep getting mixed answers on that
Thanks man. Looks like I'm gonna need points and a condenser then for mine. Starts, runs good for about 10 seconds and will run for another minute or so poorly before it dies out. Is the flywheel very hard to remove? Your videos have great info btw. Best information I've found on this bike has been from you. Thanks alot
i have compression, spark and fuel yet it will not start so im assuming its the timing, i have a kd80 1986 and i know it runs, but it will not start im about to just scrap this darn thing and quit because its driving me crazy
Hello Kevin, My brother had an Indian Bike that he has gifted to his son! Happy to check in here, Jill Montoni

Thanks for the good info! I'm having trouble starting a Honda CT90 and I suspect my problem is the points and/or the advance mechanism.
check the timing marks make sure the crank and cam are timed correctly and make sure the advance moves and is not stuck

Yes I can
Welcome
will this also cause backfiring out the carb and exhaust or is that the rotory valve

all wires connect to the condenser then the black wire connects to the ignition coil

Broo I love that idea 💡 I gotta replace my points and condenser it quit on me

Clean or replace your points
Use a nail file to clean
Thank you for the tips. After what you suggested to do was done, all it took was 2 kicks and it fired up. I thank you for responding so quickly.

What would the symptoms be if the stator or condenser were on their way out?
Hesitation/ stalling/ no start/ no spark/ intermittent spark/ rough idle/brakes up at high speed
@@2strokeguru thank you
Will the coil generator need to be replaced if little woodlike tap is broken near the condenser
I don't understand what you are saying
great videos will ke 100 stator work on ke 175?? thx in advance
if so which flywheel should i use?
No different set up
The coils where the points are at . do the tabs that each coil has on each side matter or no?
As long as it is not shorted to ground
