Thank you so much for sharing these recipes, I am 76yrs and overweight, suffering from depression and I have decided to try much harder to become more healthy, lose some weight and feel a whole lot better. The new 'me' starts NOW !!!
I'm really thankful of these videos. My doctor just told me I'm borderline already and have to watch my sugar intakes. I have hypertension as well. I've been searching none stop what to eat, not to eat, sugar alternatives the whole nine yards and its really stressing me out. I also watched videos here on youtube but it gets confusing because there are foods that some says its good for you then others said its bad for you. Even milk options. Some says zero sugar oat milk is good for diabetic so I've been using it for my oatmeal then there's this article in google saying that its bad if your diabetic! Sometimes I don't even want to eat or drink anymore but just water 😁. Until I saw your videos . Easy to follow and much much better to understand. So thank you in a million Doc!!
One notable exception: If you have a choice between 'baby' carrots and regular ones, get the regular ones. Baby carrots are old carrots that have been ground down and repurposed for remarketing. They won't ever taste or smell as good as those rough-looking unpeeled guys sitting in the bin. I hate the mustiness of the little ones, and can't imagine it's good for us.
Ditto on the carrot advice. During lockdown I had a local produce stand deliver veggies. The carrots were ginormous and I was skeptical about their taste but they were soooooo good! I always pass up the nasty baby carrots now.
Hi Dr Ergin, thank you for the great ideas. Here is a good seasoning recipe which I have been using for years. I got it from Rachael Ray. In a container (I like the Talenti iceream container- my husband likes the ice cream and he’s not diabetic) mix a handful of cumin, chili powder, onion and garlic powder, and thyme. Put the lid on and shake real good. Great on hamburger, beef, chicken, and fish.

I don't have a list, but I found a chicken/sweet potato bake in a diabetes magazine! Delicious and gluten-free. (My DiL can't do gluten, and my son doesn't eat red meat because it messes with his digestion). So easy! 350 degree oven, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp each of cumin and garlic powder, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 8 skinless chicken drummies, a medium onion wedged, and however many sweet potatoes 12 oz is, peeled and cubed. Olive oil and a baking sheet... coat the chicken with the mix and the vegis with oil. 30 mins, turn everything, 20 minutes later and Yummmm.
I saw a u tube video for Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce and made it sugar and what I think is salt free it is yummy ,I would like your IK on it. Here we go. 2 cans Diet Dr.Pepper. 2 cups sugar free katsup. 1 cup Splenda brown sugar. 1-3 tsp. Wortshiresauce. 1-3 tsp. If you want mustard. I travel as a part of my Job. I must eat either Hotel or airport food. My trips can be as short as 3 days, up to 14 days. Other than eating plain scramble eggs every day for breakfast and a sizable tossed salad (perhaps with grilled chicken EVERYDAY),….there’s not much to choose from. Packing a portable cooler with premade meals isn’t possible, especially if my job requires crossing International borders (All food must be discarded upon clearing Customs, each way. This is the comment i came looking for. 12 eggs? The only way this recipe would work would be to freeze the dipped meat on flat pan then place in a hot air fryer. No dont freeze the meat. Put the battered meat in long enough to freeze the batter so it doesnt run into the bottom of the fryer. Its the technique for some advanced air fryer recipes. Works best with thin cut chicken and shrimp.
I got diagnosed today with diabetes, I’ve been borderline for many years. I just downloaded the app and it’s bleeping out. I was in the process of setting it up

So give me and others, some items that we can utilize “On the Road”. ……we real answers.

Goodmorning Doc🥰😍
May you have an awesome week, Cloise!
For the fried chicken, the recipe calls for 12-14 eggs whisked. Where are they used in the recipe, or is it supposed to read 2-4 eggs?
This is the comment i came looking for. 12 eggs? The only way this recipe would work would be to freeze the dipped meat on flat pan then place in a hot air fryer. No dont freeze the meat. Put the battered meat in long enough to freeze the batter so it doesnt run into the bottom of the fryer. Its the technique for some advanced air fryer recipes. Works best with thin cut chicken and shrimp.
I wish you didn't talk so fast. I'd rather watch a longer video than have to keep rewinding it to try to understand what you are saying. Thank you 💖
You can change the playback speed by selecting it under the settings wheel
A great video, it's given me motivation to use an air-fryer.
Easy to cook!
Chicken is much easier to slice when it is still slightly frozen
Very good information
I got diagnosed today with diabetes, I’ve been borderline for many years. I just downloaded the app and it’s bleeping out. I was in the process of setting it up

I don't have the diabeanies but I would like to shed some pounds. But, I love the feeling when I eat mashed or scalloped potatoes.... maybe I can just eat less of them and lose weight?
Hi am 15 and I've taken a huge amount of sugar and i woke up the next day my body feels a little shaky and i feel weak
Am starting to do small workouts
What do you think i should do?
Test ur blood sugar using glucose meter before and after u eat and then compare it to normal blood sugar chart or go to ur doctor and let them do A1c test
