    The last one made me laugh historically, it’s just so outrageous and badass to me. I’m seriously amazed by how ballsy these guys are and I’m glad he was ok at the end. I don’t watch bull riding but that video was more entertaining than an entire football, baseball, soccer match whatever other sport I can think of. In 2022 a bull rider named Kaique Pacheco won 2.1 million dollars as a prize for bull riding. The way the prize worked (to my understanding) was that the 2 million dollar prize could only be won by a newcomer to the scene. As is someone who was not already a champion in their event. This prize could also have been won for other events like barrel racing and team roping to name a few. There were multiple champions competing in their events as well as newcomers. If I remember correctly, Pacheco was one of the only, if not the only, bull riders to stay on the full 8 seconds in the final. I'm sure for a lot of people the money is worth the risk of bull fighting. But I'm sure for most if not all of them they do it because they love it and the money is a great bonus!

    “Ain’t nothing dumber than a bull rider,” that was from a tough old West Texas man who’d flown 83 combat missions over Europe in a P-47 during WWII, he was nothing if not opinionated. The bull rope is the rope that goes around the bull's chest and the one that the riders use to hang on. The riders will wrap this rope around their hand to hold on. One of these wraps is called the "suicide wrap" because it basically locks your hand into the rope.

    • @david-1775
      @david-1775 10 місяців тому

      @@Cody2nd LOL ! Don't take me too seriously. We can all be pretty dumb in my estimation. That being said, suicide wraps are particularly stupid. Getting on the bull is a really bad idea in the first place but locking yourself in is just special. For instance, rock climbing is dangerous, free climbing is dumber than anything a bull rider does. FYI, the adrenaline rush is an addiction, not very different than needing meth or heroin. Also, there is a difference is doing something dangerous because it has to be done, like combat, vs doing something dangerous for fun. Try to stay safe Cody !

    I used to watch Rodeo's all the time, we have them every weekend in many place in Australia. I have watched a guy get killed by a Bull. He wasn't dead right away but they took him off in an ambulance then made an annouuncement about half an hour later that he had died. It was very sad.
    But that first guys dislocated his hip. The one that got knocked out was scary af tbh, I thought they were goling to say he died.
    The riders love doing it, it is not just for our entertainemnt, it is also because bull riding supposedly give you an adreneline rush like nothing else.
    Also, those guys that helped get the guys hand free, they are rodeo clowns. Some wear make up and stuff. Their job is to literally distract the bull and become it's target to keep the rider safe after he comes off, whether he gets off after 8 seconds or falls off. They must put themselves in harms way to protect the rider, that is their job and they are very much respected, they are needed, and loved and they are brave af for putting themself in harms way. They have saved many riders from harm and even death. I have nothing but love and respect for them.

    I go to a local rodeo every 4th of July where I'm at and last year was pretty gnarly. Basically the last wreck there, it happened about three times if I recall correctly, or at least wrecks on par with that. I recall one rider got sling shotted off the bull and into the dirt from a buck and was out like a light. These rodeos are no joke and normally, and I'm using this term very loosely, the worst injuries that occur on a rodeo is the pride of a rider getting thrown some 0.32 seconds into a ride. But last year's local rodeo had 3 ambulance rides out of the little arena. So it was very different in comparison.
    The bull fighters don't need helmets if they're good at their job, and you don't hire bad bull fighters. They are brave enough to taunt a bucking bull, but nimble enough to get out of its way. If they're not in the way of a bull, they don't need to worry about getting hit. Usually by the time the bull fighters are drawing the bull away, the ropers on the horses are there to assist.
