The saddest part about Cody Nance's leg injury was taking him out back and shooting him.
Based on the freakish angle to which Cody Nance’s leg was twisting/flailing, I’m guessing he either broke his femur or dislocated his hip.
Just looked it up the ended up dislocating his left hip.
A broken leg would heal faster. 😕
@@deannelson9565 Yikes. Gross, but at least it’s not the kind of injury that will nag at someone _forever._
Please see: sarcasm.
hopefully both.
The last one made me laugh historically, it’s just so outrageous and badass to me. I’m seriously amazed by how ballsy these guys are and I’m glad he was ok at the end. I don’t watch bull riding but that video was more entertaining than an entire football, baseball, soccer match whatever other sport I can think of. These men are out of their minds and they seriously put their lives on the line every time they sit on one of those beasts. They have my full respect
Cody Nance dislocated his hip!
Looks like Cody Nance dislocated his soul.
Jesus
Cody Nance Dislocated his Hip When he jumped off Pan Am. he Had a perfect Ride but Bad landing. The Bull didn't even touch him.
Dave: Maybe it was a hamstring.
Me: His leg was sideways Dave. Lmao
😂😂to be fair I thought it was a hamstring too 🤣👍🏻
That last rider looked like a dead man being dragged around and stomped on. That was just insane!
Code Nance had a dislocated hip. Incredibly painful, takes an incredible force to dislocate, and months to fully recover.
That last guy might have walked out of the arena but I bet it's a while before he could tell you what day it was. His bell was RUNG!
My family used to own a rodeo on my father's side. They were all ranchers in Nebraska. Would visit from time to time, and my grandfather even taught me how to lasso a bull. Some fun times.
In 2022 a bull rider named Kaique Pacheco won 2.1 million dollars as a prize for bull riding. The way the prize worked (to my understanding) was that the 2 million dollar prize could only be won by a newcomer to the scene. As is someone who was not already a champion in their event. This prize could also have been won for other events like barrel racing and team roping to name a few. There were multiple champions competing in their events as well as newcomers. If I remember correctly, Pacheco was one of the only, if not the only, bull riders to stay on the full 8 seconds in the final. I'm sure for a lot of people the money is worth the risk of bull fighting. But I'm sure for most if not all of them they do it because they love it and the money is a great bonus!
I thoroughly enjoyed this and hope you do more bull riding and rodeo reactions of all kinds! Saddle broncs, bareback broncs, steer wrestling, tie down roping, team roping, ranch rodeos... there's all kinds of cool rodeo stuff
I love going to the rodeo. Bull riding is my favorite event! I have a few cousins who rode bulls for a few years.
Cody Nance got flung up into the air and his leg folded sideways when he landed. You can see it in slow motion. Dislocated his hip.
You guys definitely need to do another mutten bustin video. That shit was hilarious! I wish they had rodeo events on Long Island. There's definitely a market for it based on the amount of country music I hear around here.
@@TBerryhillOK No it's not. I looked it up and that was back in 2017. They aren't on long island this year that I know of.
Cheyenne Frontier Days is coming up towards the end of July. The Grandaddy of all the rodeos, should be mutton busting, and bull riding, and lots of country music. So take a road trip to Wyoming.
That last cowboy probably didn't know he walked off either.
The 1st guy's lower leg was caught in the rooe during the dismount... if you look at it in slow-mo, youll see what happened, and its kinda gruesome.
The real badasses in that arena are the bull fighters.
I've seen the bulls at the San Antonio rodeo and they are absolutely massive
San Antonio rodeo is absolutely underrated. Everyone talks about the Houston rodeo
Yeah even an average sized bull is about 1,500lbs
I’ve been on some real ball busters. 😂
Last guy felt that the next day
making the guy stand after getting knocked out and kicked in the head is wild, wtf haha
Probably started with, " hold my beer - watch this!"
These riders go from monster truck show to the rodeo to the hospital to the bar, then to bed all in the same day! Lol
Bull Riding is the quintessential sport where the risk DOES NOT outweigh the reward. What all of these guys throw on the line for a few hundred bucks is impossible for me to understand.
These rodeo/ bull riding videos always good
We have a annual rodeo here in Salem Virginia USA and one of the rodeo clown Gus that make everyone laugh was telling us something with his back turned to the bull making a joke and the bull came up from behind and hit & threw this guy at least 10ft in the air and the horn went through his back I believe or he just broke his back. I was very young and it’s hard to remember what the injury was but it was crazy. They brought the ambulance in and took I’m away. Now his son is following his legacy and he does it now
Big money for rider and the bull. They work on a points system
Despite being born and raised in the Southeastern U.S., there's only one thing I tend to say when I see someone who's totally unconscious and flopping around like a piece of newfound bull jewelry.
That one thing is "GODDAMN!!!" Talk about turning 8 seconds into an eternity with hooves and horns (both short and long) and one helluva dong (ready to deal damage too boot).
Cody's injury I think was a dislocated hip and the sports medicine room does look like a battle hospital zone between the guys getting taped up and braced up to ride and the guys that got hurt riding
When I lived in the Southwest ,I went to rodeos quite a few times. The men didn't 2ear helmets at the ones I attended, real ballsy guys! Of course it's getting to be not so much cowboys now but anyone who wants to do it for the status and the large money. They didn't make that much money back then either it was all about the belt buckle and prestige.
Y'all need to watch best bullfighters videos. Those are the guys in the arena that protect the bullriders when they come off.
You guys should check out bull fighter videos. Especially Jesse Byrne.
They wear helmets because several years back a man riding a bull and the bull was jumping and the bulls head was coming up as the riddler head was going down, they hit together, it broke every bone in the riddlers face, they have a video of it
“Ain’t nothing dumber than a bull rider,” that was from a tough old West Texas man who’d flown 83 combat missions over Europe in a P-47 during WWII, he was nothing if not opinionated. The bull rope is the rope that goes around the bull's chest and the one that the riders use to hang on. The riders will wrap this rope around their hand to hold on. One of these wraps is called the "suicide wrap" because it basically locks your hand into the rope.
@@Cody2nd LOL ! Don't take me too seriously. We can all be pretty dumb in my estimation. That being said, suicide wraps are particularly stupid. Getting on the bull is a really bad idea in the first place but locking yourself in is just special. For instance, rock climbing is dangerous, free climbing is dumber than anything a bull rider does. FYI, the adrenaline rush is an addiction, not very different than needing meth or heroin. Also, there is a difference is doing something dangerous because it has to be done, like combat, vs doing something dangerous for fun. Try to stay safe Cody !
Hi guys. That first rider Cody Nance suffered a dislocated hip.
I don't think I ever watch bull riding, but I recognize the name Shorty and Cody as bullfighters and I recognize bushwack like did I watch the s*** when I was little?
Office bloaks on tour , in texas . The rodeo and terry blacks bbq ,bucc-ees and a collage football game
Sounds good Trenton 😉👍🏻
8 sec. is a great movie about lane frost it was due to him that bulls have to have their horns cut. It's a true story.
Tell me why ya'll got me drinkin stella only when I watch vids of you guys at night! Cheers as you say from Virginia!
Its Daz’s fault, nowt to do with me or Dave 😂😂
I agree with Heywood Jablowme! Rodeo clowns are some ofmthe toughest humans ever. Some of them are as famous as the riders.
Stetson Lawrence was the cowboy who rode right before Cody Nance
Rodeo clowns are some of the bravest people on Earth. They are called bull fighters now as PC is everywhere.
I used to watch Rodeo's all the time, we have them every weekend in many place in Australia. I have watched a guy get killed by a Bull. He wasn't dead right away but they took him off in an ambulance then made an annouuncement about half an hour later that he had died. It was very sad.
But that first guys dislocated his hip. The one that got knocked out was scary af tbh, I thought they were goling to say he died.
The riders love doing it, it is not just for our entertainemnt, it is also because bull riding supposedly give you an adreneline rush like nothing else.
Also, those guys that helped get the guys hand free, they are rodeo clowns. Some wear make up and stuff. Their job is to literally distract the bull and become it's target to keep the rider safe after he comes off, whether he gets off after 8 seconds or falls off. They must put themselves in harms way to protect the rider, that is their job and they are very much respected, they are needed, and loved and they are brave af for putting themself in harms way. They have saved many riders from harm and even death. I have nothing but love and respect for them.
Watching sports like this, make you change your breathing.
Great stuff. TY
I go to a local rodeo every 4th of July where I'm at and last year was pretty gnarly. Basically the last wreck there, it happened about three times if I recall correctly, or at least wrecks on par with that. I recall one rider got sling shotted off the bull and into the dirt from a buck and was out like a light. These rodeos are no joke and normally, and I'm using this term very loosely, the worst injuries that occur on a rodeo is the pride of a rider getting thrown some 0.32 seconds into a ride. But last year's local rodeo had 3 ambulance rides out of the little arena. So it was very different in comparison.
The bull fighters don't need helmets if they're good at their job, and you don't hire bad bull fighters. They are brave enough to taunt a bucking bull, but nimble enough to get out of its way. If they're not in the way of a bull, they don't need to worry about getting hit. Usually by the time the bull fighters are drawing the bull away, the ropers on the horses are there to assist.
You wanna see the baddest of the baddest bulls react to the bull BODACIOUS
Can you imagine the next day after one of those rides? Must be like the day after a bad car crash. Nah, I'm good. I'll just watch from home.
They say the Mexicans started it, but the Etruscans and Greek did similar sports. If you look at some of the vases from that period you would see them riding bulls and fighting them.
I highly recommend checking out freestyle bullfighting next. Incredible athleticism & much more animal-friendly than regular bullfighting 🐮
6:52 Excavations at Knossos on the Isle of Crete show people fighting bulls around 1500 B.C. The frescoes of the Minoan culture show men and women dressed only in loin cloths grabbing the horns and vaulting OVER the bulls.
Keep in mind, the animals they were doing that with were Aurochs, which are half again as tall as modern bulls and were wild animals with no domesticated traits bred into them.
And no doubt many young people were maimed or killed. Or, more likely, they let the aurochs drink some wine before doing the attempt. Still dangerous as hell, especially when there’s no orthopedic surgery or other medical care. Just goes to show, that people are nuts and always have been.
First rider was a dislocated hip.
Most of the riders are Scot-Irish and Brazilian.
How do you miss a compound fracture to the leg on the first clip 😂😂😂
Look at "BFO Wreckfest"
These bullfighters freestyle against the bulls. It isn't like Spanish bullfighting
Rectum, damn near killed em.
Close call wasn’t it 😂
Wow... I'm today's years old... to learn from this video that bull riders wear hockey helmets
Omg ! I never knew that til now! Lol
Since the rangers are out, Go Devils😈!
@@TaMara_x lol, ur Devils did pretty well today 👍
@@carloronaldo6431 Woohoo! 😃 Thanks, I havent checked the score yet lol
I sense a new sport - Bull Hockey!
Cody was hurt, because he was thrown in the air and landed hard on the ground. He probably broke a leg or hip. The bull did not kick or gore him.
if you go back and watch the point that he comes off it looks like the bulls hoof hits his calf as they seperate on the fst one.
Awesome...... So very American
It is a serious sports. Not to be made fun of by individuals who don't understand the culture or the spirit of the bullriders.
I laugh at the amount of cowboy hats 🤠 😂
I had heard that the reason the bull is bucking out of the gate is because they have a strap around their testicles. Once the riders is done or fallen, the others in the ring yank a rope that pulls that off to calm the bull down. Is this true?
The first one looks like his knee dislocated. His leg was flopping
This isn’t just American anymore. Mexicans, Brazilians, and people from other countries participate, too.
Cody Nance dislocated his hip when he landed
12:42 That's a load of BS. Lol
Surely they're only saying that as a defense to those who condemn this as a cruel sport.
The bulls aren't primarily trying to hurt and go after the rider, but they do have brief moments where they intentionally try to hurt them.
Cody Nance dislocated hip according to news on it
Y’all ought to watch the movie- 8 Seconds.
The Real Time pain relief logo looks a lot like the Tic Tac logo. Coincidence?
The last guy actually walked off the arena after the bull stomped on hes leg and head, meanwhile fotballers need to be carried off the field for faking a tackle hillarious 😂 no offense daz,,mike
They shoukd check out the guys that sit at a card table and let bulls run them over. It is the craziest thing.
Can wait rodeo season starts up next week in my area.
i snapped an arm. he snapped a leg. Sh%t is over
Most of the time nascar drivers come from more city like towns, bull riders come from country side more.
I believe all rodeo events are actually things cowboys do as part of their job except Bullriding
A high hamstring pull will stop you dead in your tracks.
Should also check Buffalo racing in Asia
12:27 Yeah, he's knocked out.
react to Bodacious, the most dangerous Bull ever!
It looks like his leg got hung up as he came off the bull I'm saying he dislocated his hip
I think the Doctors are making the most money here
first one- guys leg broke and was all twerked out
NASCAR looks tame now
Cody Nance dislocated his hip when he landed.
Yeehaw!
For Some good bull riding movies checkout 8 seconds and cowboy up
Deserve everything they get
and i hope something bad happen to you as well
Check out vice sports video, the best bull rider of all time J.B. Mauney. It kind of gives you an insight into what some of the bull riders think and how he trains
The top bull riders can make as much as 4 million a year. The money is an enticement to risk the danger of riding.
Really?
u should check out the famous utuber 'Vitaly'........ hes the guy thats streaked at the world cup etc...... but he also got his jaw broken by a bull !!
i mean check out the bull video that is!
Give it a go Mike!!!
Bull riders will take any sponsor they can find. A company I worked for actually had a policy concerning rodeos. We automatically turned down all sponsor requests. I've had to tella few riders that we wouldn't sponsor them.
But i have one question...
(Who's gonna ride Bodacious?) - PRIMUS
Crazy Yanks
The winnings are decent, but not enormous. Taking a chance for sure.
Actually the top riders who win make quite a bit of money as well as get endorsements. J.B. Mauney, one of the greatest overall, has made almost 8 million in earnings. The average is about $190,000 a year and low level riders may 8n,y make $20,000 a year.
I went to a rodeo when I was 10 or something. Best sh#tty food ever
Brutal. Why are humans doing this? $
This one is epic.
ua-cam.com/video/mm6mGpFCMd8/v-deo.html
Been involved in the sport for a long time, and this one was a rank one. Why the pick up men didn't get a rope on that bull after round one is beyond me.
