Jesse also played hockey. That's why he was so willing to throw himself into the fire👍🏼
Yay I have been waiting for y'all to react to Jesse. Frank is another great bull fighter. Also y'all should do American freestyle bull fighting.
Frank Newsom is an absolute legend
This guy should go on JRE. I bet he has some crazy ass stories.
Jesse is my fav, especially cuz his brother was a rider as well
Cowboy poker is where they play cards at a table in the bull arena. I would love to see you guys react to that.
They did. And the one where you have to stay in a little circle without leaving.
They did
The power of that animal is crazy. The bull looks strong too.
The bullfighters you were watching make around 150,000 a year. For most bullfighters it’s around 50,000 a year depending on how many events they work.
It is a great time a couple of beers and concession food.
I think it's funny that the bulls get points and awards too.
I mean the bulls are trained to buck off a rider..so they are awarded based on how rank they are
PBR has a full medical staff with several sports doctors in a makeshift ER and ambulances ready to go. Bullfighters read the bulls well enough to predict some of their movements. Someone once said they use their body wisely and master the art of falling.
Chase Outlaw is his real name gentlemen. 🙂
You should watch the documentary about Jesse byrne and his bullrider brother... its like 7 minutes long, and its great
in the last video when that guy said "These bulls aren't trying to hurt anyone" I honestly thought the punchline was going to be "They're trying to kill them"... lol, but I guess he actually believed that.
I think what he meant is that they aren't humans trying to assault someone, their bulls trying to protect themselves. They technically aren't "trying" to hurt anyone if that makes sense, ppl have a habit of anthropomorphizing animals. There's zero intent behind their actions
@@basedmase777 That makes sense.. its just a weirdly simplistic way of putting it I guess, considering some of the outcomes.
@@mooseot no it is because 80% of ppl didn't understand what he meant. The wording was very poor and short.
most of these bulls are sweethearts on the pasture, most of them know when to buck.
In addition to being mounted by the unwanted rider, a “flank strap” is cinched tight around the bull's torso just before it is released into the arena. This causes the bull discomfort, creating yet further negative stimulus to induce the bull to buck harder.
J B Mauney is a REAL cowboy, as well as the best bull rider ever. There's a short documentary on him.
I was actually at ft worth for the PBR last night. My boi Jose Vitor didn't get on the board last night 😔
From a bull to an airplane, i don't get any higher than a bar stool
I think that Jesse Byrne really likes an opportunity to take a ride, into orbit. we’re gonna have to christen them “Jesse and the Astronauts.”
If you ever do get to have that day of bull riding spectatorship, ypu have to see both tge PBR type, and the backyard type bull ride, on someones ranch. Two different worlds, two spectacular outings.
The riders have an internal clock in their head of 8 seconds that's always incredibly accurate and from that point on, they're just trying to get off safely.
One of the great bullriders was named Don Gay, hall of famer
The bills nuts are not tied up btw. If someone tied a rope around your nuts tight enough to effect you could you jump around? There is a cinch rope around the back but it just goes around their haunches. No sack involved
I met a cop one time whose last name was Outlaw.
Bull riders aren’t usually bullfighters. Bullfighter’s just have the drive their whole life, it’s a passion for them. Cody Webster is the best bullfighter in my book. He’s currently in his 3rd consecutive year of being the PRCA Bull Fighter of the year, that’s an honor that’s only voted on by the bull riders. Bull fighters also do freestyle bullfighting-like a matador-fighting the bull alone during the rodeo. Cody has also started his own bullfighting school and has a ranch where he breeds Mexican fighting bulls.
Gentlemen, if no one has not mentioned it, the bulls guy parts are NOT tied or otherwise restrained.
Jesse Byrne, would make a lot more than the average bullfighter's pay. Sites say net-worth $35 million, but that might actually be his bull rider brother.
The Wild Wild West lives on in these cowboys!
I can remember going to the Silver Spurs rodeo in Kissimmee when I was a kid. So much fun !
Very Impressive!!! (and entertaining to watch)
8 seconds is the goal, boys
Jesse and the other bull fighters need to be paid more then the riders. Those guys are crazy!
You need to check out the bull Bodacious ...He was the baddest bulls in the ring. The riders knew when they drew his name it was going to be a great ride...but it hardly ever happened.
They've done a bunch of bull riding back over a year or so ago, give it a search. I think they might have doe Bodacious if he's the white bull I'm thinking about
I saw a mechanical bull while driving home this afternoon. Someone was hauling it along with what I would assume was it's accessories.
asked for this forever ago, lets goooo!!
Absolute lunatics. 1700 lbs of pure shredded muscle jumping and kicking and stabbing with horns.... And you willingly approach its head knowing you're going to take a shot.
I always thought that the flank strap they use to get the bulls to buck was tied around the bulls nuts. I looked it up tho. Turns out it's just wrapped around tightly to get the bull to buck feircely.
I'm pretty sure it's a natural survival twitch instinct. There's something in their lower region that's also in their blind spot where they can't get at it. Their natural defensive response is jump and kick; or in another term, buck. They really wouldn't be going so hard if their "Rocky Mountain Oysters" were being smashed. It's quite literally the same thing as having the creepy crawly feeling of a bug on the small of your back while your hands are tied. It's out of your reach and it's something that could be a threat to you and you don't want it there. What do you do? Anything you can to get it off, except we don't have a natural defensive response to something like that besides freak out and flail wildly. But I call it a twitch instinct because it's just something they do so instinctively like horses that it's really not something you can teach them not to do. They just do it.
Chase Outlaw's real name is indeed Chase Outlaw.
Someone told Jesse to grab the bull by the horns when he was little, and he took it literally.
You have to stay on the bull for 8 seconds to get a score
One of my best female friends from high school married a guy named Johny Outlaw. Kick as name. Now they are the Outlaws. Her little sister unneeded up marrying the The Undertake (Pro wresting).
JB Mauney another great ( $ 6 million in prize money over the yrs) bull rider! And real cowboy!!!
Enjoy PBR videos I ve been to few rodeo s here in Florida
Their balls aren't tied up. They have a "flank rope" and it's sort of uncomfortable. That's what makes the bulls buck.
The rider has to stay on for 8 seconds. The judges score the ride out of 100 possible points. The bulls are judged and can score a possible 50 points, and the riders are scored up to 50 points. The bull and riders points are combined and that's the score of the ride.
Just observing bull riding should instill the underlying factor of other countries fearing Americans in conflict. We can be a force of controlled insanity.
These "protectors" or bullfighters don't like to be called, "Rodeo Clowns" as I was informed by those who worked in the business. I was not making fun of their important work protecting "riders". I was stating that many years ago, "protectors" dressed as clowns to entertain the kids while protecting the riders in the process at rodeos. Both "protectors" and "riders" are definitely different breed.
There is pretty good $$$ in the bull riding sport.....not football, soccer, basketball or baseball money, but 7 figures is not uncommon for the bull-riders
Yeah nowadays but not back when ,when it was cowboy types riding for the name and belt buckle ,not huge purse. And no protective gear. Met many of them when I lived in Colorado over 30 yrs ago....
Jessie frank and Cody are the greatest
The riders have to stay on for 8 seconds. Then they get off any way they can.
Rodeo poker, Daz.
Bullfighters are like wait staff here in the US, they get paid sub minimum wage and then they actually live off of tips, charity, and bulls*it like this fake fact.
They actually do get paid decent per event where as, depending on the rodeo, riders either get some amount or they get nothing because it's a build up to the national finals. Like there's the pay out at the national finals, but if it's not that, the riders just get a local reward that hardly seems worth it. Like $1000 for scoring highest and that's only to the first place in each category. I only know this because I attend my local rodeo around Independence Day here and that's about what they're rewarding the riders, ropers, and wranglers who are coming in first. If you absolutely eat something and don't get up for a second, that's your loss.
The bull fighter get ranked and point just like the riders and bulls
Horns hurt, hoofs kill
Horns kill too- that is what happened to Lane Frost. It’s why the riders now have to wear safety vests.
Jesse is kind of like a cat and he almost always lands on his feet
Bull riding is as dangerous as you believe and can in fact get you killed. Many of the precautions taken today are due to the fact of a bull rider that was a multi time champion bull rider who was very popular getting killed named Lane Frost. Back then riders didn’t wear all of the protective gear they wear today and after riding a bull for 8 seconds he got hit in his chest breaking his ribs which then speared his lungs killing him.
There are many documentaries about him and they even made a movie about him. He was one of my dad’s favorite bull riders and even named his favorite dog after him…if I was born a boy I can only imagine I would have ended up being named Lane…lol. Anyway you guys should check it out because if you think riding is dangerous now you should see it then.
Clowns make 35 to 70k and 2% bonus or something like that. Looks like the highest paid Rodeo Barrelman seems to be Flint Rasmussen site says Per Year: $ 4,00,000 ; Per Month: $ 32,000 ; Per Week: $ 8,000 but another site says the guys worth 53 million and another says 5 million. idk
8 seconds , like the movie🐂🐮
YEEEEEESSSSSSSSS
I don't know where all this bull fighter stuff comes from. They've always been clowns.
Irving Cohen is a VERY UNLIKELY name for a bull rider
You guys don’t have bull riding there!? And I thought that Britts were tough! Come on over to my Alberta ranch - we’ll make men out of you!
Notice how real cowboys do NOT have tattoos! (they don’t have to fake being tough! They define being tough!)
Peace
I sure hope those bull fighter guys have good health and disability coverage.
The bulls are not trying to hurt….they are bucking bulls.Trained to buck off any load that’s put on them. After they buck off the rider ,I’m sure they still have some adrenaline left. On a side note, react to J B Mauney and Top rankest bulls ever
There's also the rope around its... belly...
@A_A_J The rope does nothing, it's literally just for the rider to hand on. The bulls are bred for aggression, there's no devices on the bull to agitate them at all
@@Dave-lh6wsthe rope at its back end is what causes the high kicks. The bull wants that rope off .
@@Dave-lh6wsI always thought the rope was tightened around the bull to piss them off or even cinched around their testicles or something to make them buck that way. That’s what I really thought. I always sympathized with the bull cause I think we would all buck like crazy if we had a rope tied to our balls lol. So thanks for teaching me something new today! I actually fell better knowing they are just born to be pissed off!
I love this sport. I did some rodeo in my younger days and those bull fighters are a different breed. Excellent dudes who get hurt so you don't have to.
Built different to take the brunt of the hit and make it look easy.
I heard a bull rider once say that getting run over by a bull is just like getting hit by a train... except a train doesn't back up and run over you again... 😬😏
Should check out Rodeo Clowns
There are very few UA-camrs I follow seriously. And, you’re one of them.
React to "The Best Of Train Horn Pranks" 👍👍👍👍
YELLOW JACKET was my favorite bull. He was special. Bullfighters use to be called Rodeo Clowns. They are super men. Check out the successful rides. One can see its great skill and appreciate its glory. Getting prepared before the gate opens on that bull that out ways several men.
My brother worked for years in a hospital here in Oklahoma City. He told me about a bull rider that had his skull half gone, crushed by a bull. From what I remember, the guy survived, but was totally fucked up.
Get some rodeo clown action goin those guys are crazier than the riders 🤡
I am an Ex Rodeo clown/Bull Fighter for (SEBRA) Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association. Back in the early to mid 90's I was making around $150.00 an hour cash money.
Please react the J B Mauney.. he rides the best bulls you can get on. He always picks the hardest bulls to get on, and i think he rode a bull that no body else could ride. if im thinking right.
If you want to know what American bullfighters are all about, please look into Rob Smets. He explains why they do it. Has some good highlights too!
The guys preventing the bulls from harming the riders are called rodeo clowns because historically they dressed as clowns to get the bull’s attention while entertaining the crowd.
Frank Newsom is the legend
AS GEORGE STRAIGHT ONCE SAID ILL BE LOOKING FOR 8 WHEN THEY PULL THAT GATE
You should watch 8 seconds
If it can't kill you it ain't a sport
This is so much fun. We love it.😂
I can't believe they don't have that much protection on. I would be dressed like an NFL or an NHL player
They're needed throughout the entire rodeo and they need to be light and nimble. I mean the dichotomy of that would be the rodeo clown who jumps into that barrel. That barrel is a lot of protection, not so much something you'd be jumping into the fray to save the day with. So they can either tank the hits or flow with the hits. Flowing with the hits will hurt them a lot less in the end in comparison to trying to out-headbutt a bull.
Took care of a young kid one time on the SICU whose head got stepped on by a bill. God bless him for he lasted just two weeks after the event.
they are called clowns.
No, they are called bull fighters. Rodeo clowns is an antiquated name, no longer used.
@@hrussell9677
i don't remember when we all decided you get to choose what the word "clown" means.
Rooting for the bulls🎉
We all are! If the bulls don't score well, neither will the cowboy
Bull fighters make less than $1000 per event.
I always thought I was a to'ugh guy, like so many, but every time I watch these guys do this......salute. Insanity. I'm surprised more don't die doing this. You have to be half mad to tie a bulls nuts up and then jump on him and try to hold on fo rlife. And getting off him is even more dangerous. It's no wonder they re all crippled when they get older. Idk many jobs that could be classified as more dangerous.
