As soon as I get mk. 2 miners and mk. 3 conveyors I head to the Uranium node by the grassy field and feed a mk. 2 miner directly into an awesome sink. Gets around 7k pts/min
Caterium. Most games you have a fair bit of time to sink before you can start using it, and there's a node near-ish to every start point, so I hook up a miner and constructor early on, get it making Quickwire as soon as I can get a MAM rolling, and just pour it right into the sink
One thing I'll point out, if you are already heading to the hard drive crash sites you might want to save some of the rarer items before sinking them and instead use them to collect hard drives. You will not be able to get all of them still, but I know the desert sites require a lot of motors, which you can collect from other sites. Sure it delays getting your points, but it saves going back for the hard drives later.
While this is totally valid, I strongly suggest making an 'airway'', with power, to the red spider-filled forest. Locate a Uranium node from a distance, in the air above the spiders, and plunk down a miner with the fastest belt you have, right into the sink. With this method you're talking several thousand points a minute with just pure uranium ore. Don't have to be anywhere near it, and don't have to deal with the spiders. Can use tools online to see where the best node is, closest to your location. Anyway, it's perpetual points one can start on as soon as concrete, miner, power,-poles and sink are unlocked. Yay, points!
There's also the "never turn the game off" approach, if you're like me who just keep the game running when I'm asleep or outside and come back to piles of resources
With the new dedicated servers, this is even easier. The server can be set to keep playing, even when you sign out, which let's me keep generating coupons without tying up my GPU.
Sounds nice, but I'm at the moment I'm constantly having to go farm leaves and wood to produce more bio fuel which makes powering the factory for long times kind of hard.
@@lunakoala5053 beacons and miners can both be automated with alt recipes, but by the time you have manufacturers theres much more valuable items available to sink
If you are going the cheat-y route, go with the Satisfactory Save Editor and just unlock them that way... no need to install a mod in an older version of the game just to do this *one* thing
Yeah, you could more easily toss your save in satisfactory-calculator and just fill a container with whatever than adding a mod you weren't already using, and save edits work whether mods currently work or not.
I found early on that solid biofuel is great early on to sink, especially since once you get the chainsaw, you'll be clearing areas left and right to build production facilities. And once you get it set up, you can dump grass and wood into containers to be processed to biofuel, then process it further into solid biofuel for your biofuel burners until you unlock coal. Even then, keep the biofuel burners, just in case you spike over what your coal plants are doing. At that point, you can start sinking the solid biofuel within reason.
I use the overflow method everywhere. It also helps monitoring how things are produced. If I don't see a certain item going to the sink, it's not overflowing. That means that items production is struggling to keep up.
I can highly recommend finding uranium nodes and setup a sink next too it. You can set it up from a distance which yields huge amounts of points until you can use it :)
As an alternative to the mod you could always edit a box to have coupons if you feel like taking the cheaty route. Update 5 has certainly added the need to decide between the more cosmetic bits (windows& doors) and those that are way more vital (wall connectors for power, belts and pipes) I just wish the shop had a "coming soon" section that shows what can be available and what's needed to unlock it.
I usually start decorating after I get fuel generators in Tier 6 so I set up basic factories and rush Tier 6 while sinking items from the start. Been sinking for 15 hours now. It helps that I'm slow too.
let's just appreciate the amount of time and effort he put into such a small video. Imagine literally getting all the drops' loot and then spending 4 hours just to get 72 cupons for a little part of the video. This man's dedicated.
Early game I like to research quartz tech in the MAM up until I unlock crystal oscillators. Sink enough items to get 1 coupon, buy a stack of crystal oscillators from the store and then sink them. Buy a few more stacks with those coupons and sink them again and you're well on your way. Obviously it's diminishing returns after a while but it's good to get you started
Diminishing return is the least of our problems. If you spend 5 tickets on items, our n-th useful ticket will cost as much as (n+5)-th. It gives a couple of tickets fast, but in the long run, the tickets are just wested.
instead of a mod you can always use a save editor. Worth especially for Hard Drives if you've collected them in the past and are just looking for a new playthrough.

I already made a concrete factory but I might try a bunch of r,plates since you said they fetch 50 points. Thanks for the tips. I just wish I had the overflow but I will have to do it manually for now.

True, but it would probably be quicker to use a couple of coupons to purchase a stack of them, and sink them, the returns will diminish quickly but it might give you the extra ones you wanted

I did a bit of match and silica is actually better then quartz crystal cause if you take in acount you can only make up to 120quartz per minute of resources then if you made a line of quartz crystal it would give you around 3,375 per minute where silica would give you around 3,750 per minute both coming from one pure node with a lvl 1 miner
what i hate most about those increasing prices of coupons is that i mostly get coupons fast with high tier items, and when i am in the endgame already and got those coupons, i already have built a complete factory without the nice decorative stuff that i won't take down again. currently i have finished the game in update4 (got tier 9, all harddisks, and all old shop items except for the two most costly statues) and i have no coupons left while new coupons cost 15 millions each. for more coupons i would need a much bigger factory that i have to build (once again) BEFORE having the new shop items, only to get the coupons, and then rebuild it more nicely without the need to really produce anything for any purpose, not even for sinking !? (or only for the artificial goal how many unneeded coupons i can produce per minute, or how many of those most costly statues, or whether i can use up all resources from the entire map, similar to factorio's artificial goal of production of science or rockets per minute, and even then i would have to rebuild my old completed factory)
In anticipation of the update, I have been stockpiling at least two large containers worth of every part that can be produced. Should be fun when I start sinking them all.
I find one of the most frustrating aspects of they resource sink is that the most "beneficial" and profitable item you can sink (Plutonium Fuel Rods) takes so long to get to that by the time you have any sort of efficient source of them, their input is at the point of being pathetic. In other words, by the time you're sinking the Plutonium Fuel Rods, getting rid of your radioactive waste at the same time, the 153,184 sink points each one generates won't get you any tickets on their own. Unless you never sink anything and are fine using Mk1 power poles and standard splitters and mergers. So much work for so much meh.
Actually it's better to sink Silica instead of quartz crystals. more points per "raw quartz". although requires more constructors so consumes more energy, but it costs less energy per point actually
I've always used the overflow resource sink method. That way I never have idle machines and have the biggest storage box filled to the brim. As I hate to build a large set up, only to have to completely rework it for a better alternate recipe. Yet for the Update 5 playthrough I figured I'd use a mega factory, besides my standard factories spread around the map.
The overflow is the all time best method for me, too. Now waiting for Space Elevator Phase 2 to fill up (which I should have focused wayyyyyyyy earlier), I got so much time to do organisation and the unlockable parts would helped so much early on. Unfortunately, I reconfigured my automation for overflow too late.

Strong disagree on syncing advanced parts you find in the wild. Use them to rush automation like Coal, Fuel, Vehicles, Trains instead. Then you can get more points.
There's not much to disagree on. The parts he mentioned aren't used for any of those except the T6 train. He's not telling you to sink modular frames or plates. Unlocking railways takes 50 computers. There are crashes with 20/30+ computers. If you do want to save up to unlock automation, just sink everything beyond 50 computers.
@@HenriqueSantos-nz4xp you need computers to actually build them too and you can get a decent headstart...so, no, having higher tier parts to sync and better automation and power takes priority. Focus on things that are functionally different if it helps keep organized (and new things to experiment with), otherwise just focus on tiering up. Also another method not even mentioned: when you start setting up your outposts and you have excess power but no time/resources/uses for whatever it is you are mining, you can start syncing raw materials until you set up production with that node.
Each processing step doubles the total point value of items. There are very few exceptions to this (or there were when I made my spreadsheet way back), most obviously liquid packaging doesn't add value because it's reversible and that's not how math works. So sink the most complicated item you can build. End of story.
It is worth noting that raw resources have different starting point values. As mentioned, raw quartz is worth more than raw iron/copper. So items that use rarer inputs can be worth more even with fewer steps.

“Sink stuff to get coupons” isn’t exactly rocket science. Nor is “stuff that’s hard to make is worth a lot of points” exactly the *fast* way to get coupons. “Search for crash sites” is tedious and slow unless you’re using the Web to tell you where they are, or are re-playing the same starting location for the third time and have memorized a bunch of sites. Really, what the video needs is more “here’s some stuff that’s easy and fast to unlock and gives a lot of points.” More mention of things like AI Limiters.
"sure a mod is a bit of a cheat in some people's eyes" nah it's just cheating. Which is fine. It's a single player game. But i wouldn't have googled an awesome sink guide if I wanted to mod. Love your vids and this one definitely helps but the last point falls flat and over all takes away from your video. I enjoyed the vid and the editing was clean.

Create a High-Speed-Connector assembly into a sink, it's worth it
What i did: get a coal generator up and running, leave the game on and go to work while there's quartz being pushed in the sink
Yep, that will definitely help :D
uranium ore gives a lot of coupons
If you make 2 or most sinks does it help or stack or is it a waste to build another one
the point accrual adds together. I have probably 25+ sinks running in different parts of my factories.
having several sinks doesn't waste anything, if you input the same thing in both you will have double the points/min
Hey TotalXclipse, brilliant video as always.
Do you fancy a competition for FICSIT's MOST EFFICIENT EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR!
I've believe I can deliver the company 20m Sink points per minute!
As an added twist I'm thinking that only miners and water extractors can touch the terrain. Everything else is sent to the mothership(s)...
1. Unlock AI Limiters + acquire 3 Coupons
2. Spend all Coupons on AI Limiters
3. Sink all AI Limiters
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until diminishing returns
This only works early on, but can turn your first 3 Coupons into at least 15.
...if you stopped this when you got to 8 and bought supercomputers with your coupons, you'd get way more in return
Thx dude ! ;-)
Early game: sink beacon
middle: sink Xeno-Basher
but it's hand crafting which is a pain
@@TotalXclipse it'd be great to be able to craft them with manufacturers
i just used my space elevator tier 8 item line once finished to keep on going to the sink instead same happened for all the previous tier i just dont know what to do with all these coupon anymore each time one gets in it prints like crazy
I just cheat because most things in there should be available from the start anyway.
rubber/plastic generated as excess from oil power will give you tonnes of free tickets
Im relatively new to Satisfactory but am addicted...
Is there a coupon value list of items somewhere?
I assume there is.
On the wiki under the AWESOME Sink
Each processing step doubles the total point value of items. There are very few exceptions to this (or there were when I made my spreadsheet way back), most obviously liquid packaging doesn't add value because it's reversible and that's not how math works.
So sink the most complicated item you can build. End of story.
It is worth noting that raw resources have different starting point values. As mentioned, raw quartz is worth more than raw iron/copper. So items that use rarer inputs can be worth more even with fewer steps.
hello where can i get this coupon mod?
Tô unlock all the shop, i just put about 3K turbo motor and 5K Supercomputers
WE SAW NOTHING.
Anyone know about Wemod? curious since you talked avout mods, its a cheat program basically.
do you have endless resources at a source?
What do you mean?
@@TotalXclipse well for example if you have crystals at the ground -> can you extract them endless or are they depleted after x amount of units
@@xasanth6318 all mined resources are endless
@@TitoRigatoni thanks :) let's hope it stays this way :D
@@xasanth6318 yeah, I can't see them changing it. There are so few nodes the game would be unplayable if the nodes weren't infinite.
Sink the Caterium Ingot rather than the Quickwire. Ingot = 42 points, Quickwire = 17 points.
The math isn't that simple. You didn't account for the fact that it's not 1 ingot for 1 quickwire.
is there an eta for when update 5 comes to release branch?
"When it's ready" but that's usually about a month after the experimental release.
between 3 and 5 weeks from now I think
That would be today.
About cheat? As whit the coupons, are there a way to set passive mode? Im not interested in figth stupidt meaningless time wasting, animals. Im bussy enough copy you out to have them around. Coupons, after tier 4,? Get the better basher? I go after pods, heat sink and so. And then I make these flex frames to sink.
There's a mod that removes all hostile aliens from the game.
You could also do this while mods aren't available with the save editor, but that removes *all* the locals, including Mr. Beans and lizard doggos.
@@GinsuChikara . Thank you. I found it…. Defensive mode,. Its good.
I go with many healt items to build a miner with 250% to sink uran🤣. My MK 2 Miner with MK3 belt get me 9.5k points/min and spend me many Coupons
That’s not a lot of points at all
For this low effort its ok i think... but not neccessary in later tiers.
*glances at gold nut*
"mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm"
Good to know I did everything right xD
aka going on satisfactory calculator and unlock all the new stuff cuz im lazy
Every. Single. Update.
Yes.
I've been playing this game for years, the grind phase of the game has been played out for a long time, now.
Cable is pretty op, how could you miss that ?
There are just better things available for the energy - points efficiency
@@TotalXclipse Well not concrete....
I wish they would swap this system out for a cash system, selling our resources to buy things from the shop.
FICSIT does not approve. Resources can be used for efficiency.
Really, what the video needs is more “here’s some stuff that’s easy and fast to unlock and gives a lot of points.” More mention of things like AI Limiters.
sadly your discord inventation doesnt work anymore. maybe you can repost it or you made it to a personalized link allredy
Just feed it expensive builds, like Batteries
Do you think they would add solar powered roofs etc and would do something with co2 levels etc if you use coal to long
I dont think they would do anything about co2 levels. They want this game to be chill. Not sure about solar panels tho.
@@pyrolucky5741 yhe but solar power and wind would be epic
@@bestgameplay831 theres a mod that adds both of those, but the game still is in early access, so you do have a chance.
Automate Nobelisks and sink them
i might try the crystal ocsilator its worth 3072
i need freinds for this game! if you want to play hit me up!
Why should I waste in early game valuable resources for coupons, whereas I get an infinite amount of them later? It just makes early game harder.
Depends if you value speeding through tiers or building a beautiful factory sooner
You can use satisfactory calculator to cheat too 😉
Do tell!
What if I have no friends?
lol @ "So many points."
"sure a mod is a bit of a cheat in some people's eyes"
nah it's just cheating. Which is fine. It's a single player game. But i wouldn't have googled an awesome sink guide if I wanted to mod. Love your vids and this one definitely helps but the last point falls flat and over all takes away from your video. I enjoyed the vid and the editing was clean.
Just buy a server so the game runs 24/7
OOOO this is what I need
but i would i have to do it buy hand
You mean the nothing 500 cooupons I saw? ... Anyway; thanks for the video!
pretty simple yes... buttttttttttttttttt i have a bug where quartz crystals arent unlocked from mam.... so now what? im stuck brooooooooooooooooooo some one ... plz fking help..
Have you found any quartz yet? The tree won't show up until the first time you have some quartz in your inventory
@@FunnelCakeRyan yeah ive researched it in the mam but didnt get the recipe i have a miner on it but cant convert from raw to "boxed"
@@thezimra9429 your constructors don't have the recipe for quartz crystals ? check the MAM again I think you might've researched the wrong thing
