I honestly don't remember... I thought I posted but I don't see it. In short, was just loose, I got a new nut for it, added locktite and torqued it properly, seems to be holding now. I should probably find it and make sure I post part 2, I know I shot the footage.
My 25-year old two-piece style driveshaft stopped working and I had to replace it with the one piece and requested should one piece now you have to disconnect the swingarm and socks and passenger handles. The Ural dealer I buy parts from sold me the right part that I needed. Some very well-known BMW/ u r a l dealers who gave me very off base advice, in one case so totally wrong as to not to be believable. Why is it that all of the brand-new urals with all these fancy parts seem to have catastrophic failures of major components and they are very new machines. With them producing only 2,000 motorcycles a year they should not have any symptoms of being rushed in production, everything should be correct. When my Ural motorcycle was built with all Soviet parts, they made 600 a week and I watched a movie of the factory back then and how they were all started run through the gears make sure all the lights work went up and down and then had a tractor tow out a whole line of them. The only Japanese Parts I have on my u r a l are the Mikuni carburetors and Mikuni makes gray carburetors even the Harley Fanatics run Mikuni carburetors. And my bike runs cool-as-a-cucumber in Southwest Florida Summers which are hot as hell but without the benefits of being there.
Yes it's a washer and it should always go on with sealant else you get an oil leak up by the shaft. Most likely why it's not loose, it's literally stuck in there. I know this having had mine out at the dealer to replace speedo drive gears. The wobbly yoke and the nut keep coming loose I don't know, obviously shouldn't be doing that so is worrying. I would have hoped that by 2019 stuff like this had been sorted.
Always something, Robert...!! I have had 11 Harley’s since 1990 and the ONLY problem with Any of them Was on a 2000 Roadking I got in 2013 with 72,000 miles on it, the charging rotor Inside the engine wore out, $ 600 fix and worked fine after that until I traded it in for My 2015 Ural Patrol in Dec; 2016 that we stopped riding at the end of 2018, but then You know the rest of that story.....!! 😟😩👎
should make more shooting videos...

Thanks for sharing. Ural riders are so awesome for sharing even the little things.
Love the videos, please keep them coming.

I’m hoping you have a part two for this. I anxiously await. Another thorough video (tape) - thanks!
Part 2 video already gathered, setup in a project in Premiere Pro and I hope to have some time to work on it tomorrow.
Hate to say it, but I would have given the same advice...patiently awaiting part 2...
What are you talking about? You where HERE for part 2. Without your help I would have finished an hour sooner! 😎
