- Please forgive me couple mistakes I've made :) And I'm not one of those who would say it was easy song to play and shit. Damn its complicated so I even didn't try to make a solo. Hopefully someday I could cover it too. Thanks!

Audio has been recorded two times: one with the video, second - right after filming.
Definitely one of the most trasher and best elaborated songs in Slipknots history, if not the most technical one. Excellent job man!

I agree with those things you said about this song, but this guy played it really bad. He must hit strings hard, like Mick, otherwise, it sounds awful.
Greg Coleman People have their own tones. They don’t have to sound EXACTLY like the musician
Kalim Manigault No, but Gematria is one of their top 5 songs simply because Mick plays it a certain way.
Bohdan Rohachenko his tone isn’t as scooped as theirs which can make it sound like he isn’t going to have a domestic abuse case over his strings. I play pretty aggressively like mick but not as hard and the tone is super important.
Slipknot have gone a long way since the simplicity of their first album. I have nothing against simple songs, but I really like songs like this that are loaded with great riffs.
Well you gotta keep in mind their live shows require a lot of movement, it all they wrote was this complex the life shows would be fucking impossible for Jim and Mick. Just imagine playing this while moving around and headbanging to this.
Eeyore isn't very simple for a first album song

This is possibly the most addicting thing to play on guitar

Your missing the trills in the beginning.
Its seems hes playing micks part which doesnt play the trills at tge beginning

I knew something seemed too simple about the intro. Mick does play the trills. Look up his studio recording session for it. Those are what make the intro so good!

Sure you can go with 11-52. I saw your question about grg170 and drop B tuning. I've had exact same guitar some time ago, but didn't try to tune down to B. Instead i've used it in drop C a lot and strings were ok, not too loose.

What pickups do you have on your guitar and what string do you use for drop b/a
TheManOfManyVoices They are Emg Pick Ups (Not sure what type) And something to add for future reference is that your Guitar Scale Length Is fairly important as well as string Gauge, But I would Recommend D'Addario Ny Xl 52's
EMG 81 in the bridge and EMG 85 in the neck.
For supreme tightness, some 12 - 54 D'addarios are perfect. But as previously said by Ron Jeremy, scale length is important. If you have a 24 fret guitar, you should be good, but if not, consider buying one.

This is the most complex song this band has to offer. But this is intermediate level. Anyways your tone is awesome. How about you try covering Reflections. That's a real metal band. Try covering Vain words from empty minds. That would actually be awesome.

Ron Jeremy All hope is gone is simple. its just a LOT of picking, hammering, but other than that, its easy, anyone could learn it.
there are no good tabs for this song i think but you can see a vid where mick is recording for all hope is gone and there he plays gematria and you can seen what he plays if you watch closely, so did I ;)

Unassuming Potato In the first place he shouldn't have used two audio tracks for one video. It shows he's pretty much dubbing even though he might know how to play the song. That's what the guy up there meant. If he's got two audio tracks, he should've put two videos and divided the left and right channels. The result would be a lot better.
However, as stated, it's not an easy song and I'm still practicing to make my own. Maybe when I get mine done I'll get back here.
