People also tend to confuse introvert and shy. Introverts can be outgoing and loud, but only in small groups with friends. Put them in a group with a dozen people and they shut up and want to hide. Large groups make us exhausted.

Fun fact about the dress: we use it as an example of the difference between sensation (the physiological response of receptor cells) and perception (how the brain interprets that response) in undergraduate psych. You see it as black and blue if your fundamental assumption is that the dress is indoors or it's dark outside, but you see white and gold if your fundamental assumption is that the dress is outside or it's morning/daytime. This also correlates with chronotypes, so night owls usually see black and blue and early birds usually see white and gold.

For lgbtq rarity, consider these statistics are based on people who are out, or at least tell a pollster. I find it fully believable that due to countries like Russia and the Middle East, as well as older or more conservative areas of the West, 14% is actually a high ball
Also if you hang around with more lgbt etc you'll think there are more in the world. it made me think of one of those videos about how many black people live in the UK and they were guessing 20-30% etc when its about 4%

Couple of additions from me:
1. My eyes are naturally some shade of green, but it changes based on my mood...it goes from an emerald green to nearly golden (I've personally seen a hazel with golden flecks, but others have said it's gotten close to gold); my dad also has color-changing eyes (though his go from a steel blue to a fairly bright blue).
2. I'm not double-jointed, but my fingers have quite a bit more flexibility than average (and my handspan is rather large...nearly 10 inches); I'm able to bend my pinkie over my ring finger (to the second knuckle), then bend the ring over the middle and so on down my hand...when I'm done, I can then bend my thumb around to rest on the back of my hand. The final effect is quite gruesome, but oddly not uncomfortable.
3. It's less rare, but I'm a father of triplets (one girl, two boys...the boys failed to survive birth) *and* twins (boys)...but two multiple pregnancies after two single births?
4. I can't ride a bike myself, nor can I swim...both could be related, but it's confusing. My natural buoyancy point is quite a bit below the surface of the water (I've struggled to stay afloat with a properly worn life vest before), so I tend to sink like a rock (since I'm tall, though, I'm usually okay)...but my center of gravity is such that I can't get any forward momentum on a bike to even attempt to stay upright (it's not a balance issue, as I'm fairly nimble on foot).
Hailee, with copper (red) hair and green eyes, you are in the group that is only 3-4% of the world population... and becoming even rarer...

When they say "dark brown" they probably mean brunette (aka italian brown or black-brown) brown would be a bit darker than mine was when I was younger. Formerly dirty-blonde/copper myself.

I wonder what the criteria for languages spoken was...I speak English (as an American), but I took French in school, learned some German through my brother, got some knowledge of German/Welsh/Gaelic from my mom's interests, learned "kitchen Spanish" through my work in kitchens (it's not the version you'd speak in polite company), and have learned a few select phrases in other languages/dialects (I can say "F*** your mother" in Chinese, but that's basically it for the extent of my knowledge there)...

Being a lefty, the struggle are real!! Something can not be adapted to a left handed person. Yes there are left handed scissors are pretty much a safety hazard to all left handed, we think with our right mind so we can think outside the box and adapt to the world around us..😂❤😂

Colorblindness to blue does exist. But for what I know, it doesn't prevent only distinguishing blue from black so I don't know if what Kendra's mom has is actually colorblindness. It has been proved that the ability to distinguish different shades of the same color is not exactly the same between every individual so who knows?
About the extra set of ribs, I've never met anyone on person, but I've seen the remains conserved in an anatomy museum. This skeleton has a couple of ribs that come out from the lowest vertebra of neck.

And blue eyes, I’m gay, I get a partial point for being blind without my glasses I can see shapes and colors but it’s extremely blurry and I can’t walk straight when I don’t have my glasses! I get a point for being ambidextrous, I get a partial point for being an Irish twin, I have curly hair, and eczema, I was born left handed! I have one "elf" ear. I used to have two but I took a tumble out of an oak tree as a kid and the tree kept a souvenir. Ouch lol My left ear is still very slightly pointed but my right is very much pointed and "elfy" lol I'm also legally blind. Thanks for sharing and much love to both of you amazing ladies

I gotta say. Some of those numbers seem off... I think a bit more are Bi. And I think a couple more have a degree. (No. I do not have one...lol) and just. Some seem. Like Kendra said. Old stats. The test may have been published last year. But used 10 year old statistics?!? Just saying. I'm probably as average and unique as everyone. It really is a matter of perspective.. when I was younger I thought I was mad Rare.. but as time went on and more information was shared ..I found out I'm not a complete anomalie .. when I was 8 and I knew I was female. I'm moderately blue-yellow colorblind; it wasn't something I even knew about until I did the Ishihara Color Test for work where I only got 15% of the questions correct. I also REALLY suck at sorting shades of colors from lightest to darkest (or vice versa). I saw that dress as blue and black, but I have no clue what the color intensity or shading of that dress was.
To me, The Dress is still white and gold. Also, the statistics are worldwide, and not just western countries...worldwide 80% of people identify as heterosexual, and 11% didn't know or refused to answer.
Funny enough, my grandpa was struck by lightning 3 times in his life, but we still haven't won the lottery.. 😅

In the hair/eye color topic, my eyes are bright green (almost identical to my dad's) but my hair has naturally been almost all the colors. I was born with very dark brown hair that lightened to toehead blond by the time I was 2, then slowly darkened to an auburn/brown. Then, when I started on T, my beard grew in red, and my hair went more red than brown... So... I'm always confused what to tell people about my hair color.
just so you know, as a left handed person, we become ambidextrous for a lot of things just from living. we can use right-handed scissors like the rest of the world.

I am ambidextrous, but primarily use my left. I raced bicycles, so I can ride. I had light brown hair, it's mostly gray now. I was a twin at birth, but my brother didn't make it. I'm a type 2 diabetic, for 10 years now. I also have an extra vertabre, an L6, something like 6% have it. I'm also an introvert. I guess I'm kinda rare...🤷♂️

From what can remember, most species of primates have a homosexuality ratio of ~1:4 or 20%. That only counts actual same-sex pairings though, it doesn't count bisexual animals in a hetero pairing. Assuming an even spread all around, that means 10% are exclusively homosexual and another 20% are bisexual, leaving 70% to be exclusively heterosexual.
Obviously, that's just animals. It doesn't account for gender or romantic attraction or asexuality, but it's an interesting thing to consider when thinking about the "true" number of gay people in the world.
My personal belief is that everyone on the planet is bi-sexual, and that inside of that bi-sexuality everyone has their own brand, their personal flavour that they prefer.
So, like with music, Whether its metal, rock, jazz, hip-hop, R&B, rap, pop, house, techno, trance etc... it is all music. So, regardless of what music you like, you're still into music.
Regardless of what "genre" of sexuality, sexual identity or sexual attraction you align with, in my opinion it all falls under the umbrella of Bi-sexual.
And lets not forget that sexuality is fluid and changes over time... so how you identify now and how you identify in 25 years may not be the same way. I currently identify as a panromantic heteroflexible male.. that may change, it may not. But to me, it all falls under "Bi-Sexual".
There are people that are born with Waardenburg Syndrome,
They have Elf like facial features, Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth & Chin,

I am a polyglot, I can ride my bike, I am bisexual. I was born with brown hair, have a unabrow, exema, diabetes, ambidextrous, I have an iq of 155,
I can't feel pain, I was also born with an extremely rare condition called Polyorchidism. How rare is it you ask? Since 1895 there have only been 250 cases of it. Another thing that makes me rare is I can write from right to left in cursive.

My rare traits are that I am blonde, blue eyes, and gay lol woo!!... the rarest person I know though is my dad who was born with the rarest form of color blindness called achromatopsia where basically he cannot see any color whatsoever (literally only sees black, white, and greys) while on top of that it causes low vision and heavy light sensitivity too so he's legally blind. 0.0033% of people in the world have it!

I always thought of myself as an introvert, but I saw an example and I think what better fits (and may fit many other people who fall into a similar camp) is as a shy extrovert. Like, I definitely get my energy from being around people, but it takes a while to warm up to people and be myself.

I have very dark brown - used to be mistaken black - hair. I had no eye teeth and are the variation of hazel where I have a ring of brown, a ring of green and a ring of blue. Some ppl consider it another type of heterochromia.

im a lefty with light hair and grey/blue eyes (grey with flecks of blue), only speak english, over 20, definately introverted, not double jointed, ive got 3 wisdom teeth (most people will need to have them removed as our mouths arent big enough for them anymore), 5'5" myself, i can ride a bike, heterosexual here, light/medium brown hair, no monobrow, naturally wavy hair, use to have escma, not colour blind, 27% of people have blue eyes while only 2% have green eyes. Grey is the rarest with less than 1 percent,
