Guy here! Dad to 3 girls, one of them came out last year. At first I listened cause I want some insight, you know, to not be weird when she bring her first girlfriend home. Now, I just listen cause you two are so fun, and the love that you so transparently share is so cute.
Hello, I don't know your age but I'm 50 and grew up old fashioned where things were different and not so accepting. I have 3 daughters and my middle daughter was with a girl for 2 years and back with a guy and my youngest 19 is Bi. I definitely understand what you are going through with acceptance and understanding. My most valuable advice is to be understanding, accepting and completely un biased and supportive. Don't overdo it, treat her partner as you would as a boy and don't be judgemental. You will grow and begin to understand and bond with your daughter more and her partner. Also be careful as not to missgender or hurt feelings because you will naturally lol you have to be not creepy interested but genuinely interested to learn and understand. Something's will be the same as some different. Also step back and let them solve problems even if you know it won't work. Just be there for your daughter when she needs dad for comfort and support and the little things. Also if you are married or in a relationship you will learn your daughters and partner will form a pack and it's normal. Just remember Daddy's little girl is always going to be Daddy's little girl. Sorry so lengthy but I hope this helps you without having to learn over time. These young ladies are wonderful and you can learn from them as well. I watch for the same reasons but look how happy and in love they are. You want your daughter happy and taken care of above all else... And not push her away...

I have to defend guys on the bathroom thing. I believe the reason that our restrooms smell bad is because of the urinals. I've seen ladies' rooms where there has been poop all over the seat, back of the toilet and floor. (I'm a manager, and our maintenance man was gone for the day. Had to clean it for the customers)
I was a custodian at a church for a few years in college. The women's rooms were always as bad, if not worse because of period messes/trash all over, than the men's rooms.

As someone with a lot of insecurity issues, I would personally love for my crush to make the first move.
