Great work. I’m getting started building cabinets and I really appreciate your channel that shows more than just the builds. Everything from your shop tour to dust collection to your installation videos are really helpful to me. My only request is if you could possibly start putting links in the description to some of the items that you use? I’m sure you could make your own Amazon store and get some kind of kickback from viewers ordering through it - I know I would!
Yes this is definitely a nice change from the usual stuff. Fun project. And thanks for noticing the voice over lol. They will only get better from here
LOVE the old rustic rough sawn stuff. If I can offer something, give “The Restorer” a shot. It’s perfect for getting down between the saw marks and leaving them alone, while still smoothing the surface! It’s so good!
Hey Buddy hope you guys had a great vacation while I was sweating like a barnyard pig making and installing cabinets! I switched to a Paslode 16 ga gas gun? That gun is light as a feather and my gas cartridges last quite a while ! I am with you I prefer to skip hoses and the dragging around a compressor! Chk it out I know you will love it! Milwaukee pin gun is thee best pinner on the market !
I'm not sure if you guys ever do it this way in the states, but in the UK everyone notches the front and back of the drawer boxes. So you use the straight holes in the movento/tandem clips to screw them to the box. But then that leaves the angled ones empty to screw to the drawer front. I find it really handy for that purpose.
@@NE_woodworks not saying it's any better, it's just the way we do it. Only thing I do like about it is that the drawer fronts are pulling directly on the runners, but as long as everything is screwed well that's not really an issue anyway 🤷🏻♂️
I started taking my solid wood off cuts ( scraps) and placing it inside the drawer box drilling say 5/8” into a 13/16 piece and setting my screws thru it into the front ? It does two things? It looks nice I use wipe on poly and it covers the screws ! Two ; it adds a counter weight giving the drawer box more heft and it seems to close nicely ? ( I use the exact same slides as you). Yes a little added work? However , it’s the little things that GC’s see or a customer and the word spreads !
@@NE_woodworks ok I am making drawer and doors so I will send one . Sorry for the confusion? I hv a teaching degree and credential ; plus I was a trainer and overseen 19 training officer? I still explain things as clear as mud!!!
Do you ever find it necessary to add front spanners in your drawer carcasses basically creating a front shelf for each guide? Asking since ply material is hardly ever without some sort of bow down its lengh.
I used to have stretchers in there. I since found it kind of unnecessary. If it was bowed that bad then yes I would certainly add one to help keep things straight.
Wonderful!
Nicely Done 👍🏿
Thanks

Slight correction, French cleats have bevels, not miters. 😁👍🏻

I’ll check out that paslode nailer. And I agree. The Milwaukee pinner is great! 🤙
I source my drawers to Top Drawer Components in Apache Junction, Arizona. They're absolutely amazing.
Nice

Interesting. I never thought about doing that

What is that orange thing under your drawers ?
Do you ever use glue on boxes, or do you always think screws are enough?
Glueing cabinet boxes Is unnecessary in my opinion.
Hi. Where did you get your GOT WOOD? sign? Thank you
Amazon
Check out the little 18ga M12 nailer!
Yeah I’m gunna pick one up
@@NE_woodworks me too. Just found out about it and it’s like it was made for cabinet jockeys.

I’m a little confused on the explanation. Can you send a photo??

Also are those inset hinges with a 0mm plate? Thank you in advance.

Yup. I’m plates
@NE_woodworks thank you sir, keep up the good work!!
Milwaukee makes a m12 brad nailer now lot smaller and lighter than the m18
Might have to pick me up

How much do you charge for something like this? Just curious what others charge. I would be around $2,400 for this one.
For a vanity like this I’m around $3,500
Would you consider this as modern rustic?
Enjoy your content.
Yeah I guess I would. The hardware they are getting will definitely give it a modern rustic look
