As a professional cabinet maker who has just gone on Xmas holidays. I’ve woken up on the first day of holidays and have decided to watch someone make a cabinet 😂
Keith: (has a podcast with Jason for years, uses Lamello on every project) Jason: (works with Josh on 1 project and immediately orders the Lamello even though he’s worked with Keith on a gigantic ass set of built ins for the office and a bunch of other projects) Keith:
Hey man. I was needing to have the birds and the bees talk with my kids. They watched this video and now I don’t need to, you described everything perfectly. Thanks!
Jason, oh Jason! That bathroom vanity is absolutely spectacular. Your explanations throughout even more so. Ever since I've been watching your channel, I've enjoyed your work, your teaching, your passion for your craft. But I just have to say, that vanity is just magnificent. Thank you...
yes, beautiful (as is the new tile floor) - so to me, this amazing 'foundation' = the ideal setting the stage for a spectacular counter... w/ possibly some personality also re: the mirrors, lights.. ??) (but also realizing a "retreat" - which will be rented, so maybe not...????... but since Mrs. Moth has excellent taste, and Mr. Moth a perfectionist, hope the star of this bathroom = a sweeeeeet counter!)
Looks great. I really like the style. Also, thinking about all of your projects, I can see why I can't find much white oak in my area. You've been using it all up there. - Chris
Very gga amazing video I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful((dko0
That build was amazing!! The face frame was great and the finish looked sooooo good. Great job. I am going to have to build my cabinets and vanities when we get moved, I hope mine turn out half as nice as yours did. I am not going to build quite as fancy, but it is what the wife wants so as long as she likes it, that is all that counts. David
I'm not a legit wood worker, but I've built a few things on the floor of my garage. Spacer blocks was the key to making me appear competent. And sanding everything flush. Lots of sanding.
I like the tricks you picked up from NE woodworking, I also like the mud light, been using 5%mist on white oak lately. might have a lamello in my future as well. anytime u can work an Anatomy lesson in a wood working video ,u should. cheers brother
probably lots of extra storage in that cabin... but as someone who lives in a smaller home (think: a NYC home, but in HI), would never 'give-up' space on the sides! too good a place to put things like a broom, w/ telescoping handle.. + (toilet) plunger, + (toilet/tub) scrubbing brush on small stick.. + more... and given it is Jason building, he could do a cool 6"xtall pull-out so could store such things there!
You forgot to drill the holes for the water pipes in the back of the cabinet. Make a video of when the plumber comes to connect the water, I'd like to see when you remove the cabinet again.
Jason, it appeared in this video that you didn't add shutoffs for hot and cold water on the back wall at each sink inside the cabinet. We had a similar installation in a remodeled bathroom and the casting for one of the faucets (Hansgrohe) on the wall failed and leaked water, one drip at a time, down inside the wall until the carpet started getting soaked in an adjacent closet. We had to rip everything out and have installed new fixtures, new tile on the wall, new mirror, blah, blah, blah. So, if you mistakenly didn't put access for 4 shutoff valves, I would recommend you add them now before everything is complete.
Realising that you might be in the same "shop" but it feels like this is the "teleportation" build. Saying this as your garage might just be my dream shop. But we also have very different use cases. 😂 Love the video, humor and quality!
Welcome to the lamello zeta p2 . A machine/system I expected to be almost as controversial as the domino. If not more. I love this enabling tool. Most built ins can be just assembled in place by using the clamex, tenso and divario connectors accordingly. Please do a p system only project! Feel free to reach out.
Awesome build, guys! Really good looking piece. Especially for the timeframe. Just a heads up... Be prepared to stub your toe on that center piece A LOT!
every Jason video, I think: MUST never again buy cabinet "kits"! [ Plus, wonder: what the price difference is? I will try to price; but if ever get a spare second, would be nice to see a price breakdown J.H. ..] Thx - *another* GREAT show!
Would take me a week and a half, not a day and a half… and I would have tons of mistakes. But that’s why I do this as a hobby not a profession 😂 Great build!
So successfully achieved...do please show us the next development with basins etc. ...may you ALL have a fine Christmas and Hogmanay with best wishes for a glorious 2025 from Dorset, UK...dgp
Curious, could you have utilized that voided area on the inside of the cabinet? if not maybe the wings could have been hidden drawers or something. But overall it looks really nice
That Lamello Zeta P2 is an expensive piece of kit. They're also hard to come by. I've only seen them in stock once the places I shop. The Clamex fasteners do look easier to install than Festool connectors. I guess each has it's place.
This looks absolutely amazing. This is a real question not an attempt to but a butt. Why do the two fake drawers and the top real drawer look different? Is it the lighting? Thanks
Serious question: Do those boots not kill your feet at the end of the day? Are they magic boots? I'd love details on magic boots that don't hurt your feet standing on concrete all day. Also, great video as usual! Happy Holidays.
I have no idea what magic boots he has, but I've had *stellar* luck with Merrell's work shoe line and spending all day on my feet. I'm on my second pair, I've been wearing them at work for over a decade, the first pair lasted 6 years of mileage before they finally wore out.
Now that you’re a Lemello man, you could have landlord your wife wings, make an extra set of holes a half inch in further than the permanent ones. Snap your wings in the second set of holes, scribe with a 1/2” scribe, cut to line and install in the permanent set of lamelllo grooves
Very gga amazing video I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful((dsh

As a cabinet maker myself I’m wondering why you use pocket screws on the top nailers when none of the cabinets will be seen as you said when you screwed the rest of the cabinets together? Either way you make this process effortless. Great job. Another question for you. What ever happened to the tv show you were going to do?
People blow wood movement out of proportion. The thing that makes the biggest difference is the width of the wood. The wider the wood, the more movement. Wood doesn't move much lengthwise. A wooden floor will move a lot because the floor is probably 10 or more feet wide. A drawer that is 6 inches wide isn't going to move much at all.

It's like getting the results without the work. Nice way to relax! 😅
Do all the time.😂😂

Even being rushed, it's another great job!
BEAUTIFUL!
Probably the best explanation of male and female that I've ever heard.
But what if the parts doesn't identify themselves as he/she?
@@1967nusseask them what bathroom they use.😂😂only 2 options.
Awesome sauce!!! Love the way you took what you learned from your friend and have totally upped your game. Stunning result!
You're getting good, Jason. Even the foreman has been leaving you alone lately. I guess he finally trusts you haha
I LOVE this cabinet. It is beautiful! I can't wait to see the completed piece.

Absolutely beautiful. Love the extra accents. Even under the time crunch. Looks amazing

That vanity turned out beautiful. Love it.
I rarely say this... You outdid yourself, this vanity is perfect! Ray

for 2 days work, that's some beautiful vanity👍👍

That vanity looks really nice.
Great job! Nice to see some more classical proportions and details.
Just curious: why not make the left/right cabinets wider and turn lost space into usable space?
probably lots of extra storage in that cabin... but as someone who lives in a smaller home (think: a NYC home, but in HI), would never 'give-up' space on the sides! too good a place to put things like a broom, w/ telescoping handle.. + (toilet) plunger, + (toilet/tub) scrubbing brush on small stick.. + more... and given it is Jason building, he could do a cool 6"xtall pull-out so could store such things there!

@ahpdebeer He stated a few times in the video, the water lines are above the counter.
@jimpinger6206 Thanks for pointing it out, don't know how I missed that.
Stunning! Fascinating glimpse into your process.
That looks really good Jason & you filled me with the foreshadowing comment

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Really cool to see you use methods you learned from Josh
Looks great! I love the layered detail of the face frame.
Realising that you might be in the same "shop" but it feels like this is the "teleportation" build. Saying this as your garage might just be my dream shop. But we also have very different use cases. 😂
Love the video, humor and quality!
A very very good job! Looks soooo nice 👌🏾
I enjoy listening to you. You do beautiful work!
Sweet, giving me ideas for my own bathroom vanity unit.
Love the details.
Love your videos so helpful and funny! You have helped me to become a better woodworker!
Looks great! Making some great progress on the place. :]
That is a gorgeous vanity.
awesome job, as usual, Happy Holiday
You said that your website didn't have a cap on it, but it has a few.
Great video, and the cabinet looks awesome.
That's amazing work that looks great
That looks amazing.
Merry Christmas Mister Moth
Beautiful work, man!!
To make your face frame fit easier between the walls you can take a belt sander and put a slight angle on the inside of the frame.
Look great!
Got to say it looks bloody good too
Merry Xmas
Cheers from Aus
Beautiful !!!
These Clamex things sure look awesome! 👌
Everyone loves a good climax
Beautiful!!!!!❤
The toe kick fronts that kept falling off the face frame! 🤣🤣 Just leave 'em off until install.
In the future if you get stuck say, "Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers" because nobody expects that. Nice easy weekend job. 🤣🤣
Hello, Jason. I would appreciate it if you could provide us with details regarding your video preparation, recording process, and editing techniques.
He reveals a lot of that in his podcast
Awesome build, guys! Really good looking piece. Especially for the timeframe. Just a heads up... Be prepared to stub your toe on that center piece A LOT!
Looks good.
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Iver going to get the Lamello climex talk when the time comes.
every Jason video, I think: MUST never again buy cabinet "kits"! [ Plus, wonder: what the price difference is? I will try to price; but if ever get a spare second, would be nice to see a price breakdown J.H. ..] Thx - *another* GREAT show!
I also bought a Lamello Zeta P2 after watching those last videos lol
Beautiful
Have you considered brass knobs on fake drawer fronts?
Awesome again, I would have added knobs on the fakes as well.🤔🤔
Would take me a week and a half, not a day and a half… and I would have tons of mistakes. But that’s why I do this as a hobby not a profession 😂 Great build!

Beautiful!
super good job body from QUÉBEC 👍👍👍
Great work & thank you!
Beautiful vanity, will you be selling plans for it. I sure so.

Merry Christmas Jason and Craig. After all no sanding for at least two days.
Was hoping to see the top and plumbing etc too
Look at the title of the video...... It clearly says vanity build
This looks absolutely amazing. This is a real question not an attempt to but a butt. Why do the two fake drawers and the top real drawer look different? Is it the lighting?
Thanks
Asking for us beginners…It would be great to hear you say the dimensions as you narrated this video, Jason. Thnx for making these videos.
Not necessary as you are not building one
A ordinary plywood looks costly with the coat. Cool job
Serious question: Do those boots not kill your feet at the end of the day? Are they magic boots? I'd love details on magic boots that don't hurt your feet standing on concrete all day.

Nice!
Aside from esthetics, any other reason for the width the side wings instead of making the cabs a bit wider for more storage space?
But you could use the biscuits only, in wood. And just glue them
Safety glasses!!!!,!,!

Jason Hibbs: Master Scriber!
And why didn't we get to see Iver's Christmas performance?
Very gga amazing video I had a misfortune, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I also created a channel and am trying to move in that direction, but so far not very successful((dsh
Beautiful vanity. Hope you don’t get vain about it. ❤

Damn you do good work.
Nothing against PowerMatic but for safety reasons why would you part from SawStop?
How do you shut off the water? I don’t see any shut off valves.
As a cabinet maker myself I’m wondering why you use pocket screws on the top nailers when none of the cabinets will be seen as you said when you screwed the rest of the cabinets together? Either way you make this process effortless. Great job.
Another question for you. What ever happened to the tv show you were going to do?
That turned out beautiful! Do you ever get over to the East Coast?
What? Those side pillars don't pull open to reveal more storage? 😉

Getting ready to play Wordle today. I noticed your Bourbon B L A D E banner.
Today I’m a genius!
Nice! What was the total cost of the wood for the project?
Masterfull
what color of Rubio is that?
Wish I could wrap my pea brain around this new door method 😢
Yeah, she knows how “lucky” she is. That’s why she never plays the lottery. 😊 Like me, seems you married up. Nice work on that vanity by the way.
you are gonna have to change out the doors on that cabinet you came out of at the end. It is way to junky looking next to you beatiful vanity.
You need Etrack for your trailer.
It will be a pain to repair that drywall with that in place!
Why do you build the boxes before the face frames?
That's y he way these younger guys hide the way style is attached
Sinks are for kitchens, and basins are for bathrooms.
