Hello Denis, I passed 73 and still kicking. When I was three yrs younger as you are now, I discovered Pink Floyd. My first record was DSOTM. And if you feel crying a bit more, that’s the record you should listen especially “ Time” and if you reach my age, you would know why..but I’m agreeing with you about David. The man with the feel and soul and of course with a huge hearth. And you my young friend choose the right way, to reach my age. Pink Floyd will live forever, but you must be careful when listening, to it. Don’t take any drug during listening, even if life turn a little bitter stick to the music. If you have music in your heart, you have a friend for life.

My brother and I were both huge Pink Floyd fans. He absolutely loved the album Division Bell. I lost him back in 2014 and everytime I hear this song I cry my eyes out. The first time I heard Pink Floyd was in 2003. A sophomore in college, a neighbor used to play this song regularly on his computer, and that too loudly. I was normally quite against his behavior but with this song, I used to wait for it quite excitedly. One day, I just had to ask what song was this and that changed my life. As I got entrenched into their discography, it seemed like I had entered into a magical kingdom - I don't think I have exited yet and I am thankful for it. I even managed to catch them live at Live 8 two years later - a precious moment for me.

That you don't know what to make of your feelings in this situation, is entirely natural and you shouldn't be afraid of the confusion/conflict you are experiencing. Much easier said than done, I know. If there is a way for you to try and rescue your marriage, then do it. I'm not sure the right way to describe Gilmour's voice... I think handsome is the word to describe how his voice sounds.
Also, it's interesting to see how a slow melodic type of guitar player ages over time. When he was 25 he played with the wisdom of a 60 year old. Now he's well past 60 and it's a treat to see how that wisdom has evolved.
i honestly can never ever and dont think i will ever be able to control my emotions when listening to pink floyd, its an art like no other, pure beauty.

Amazing. Dave still bending those strings perfectly every time. This song really shows how much of a master he is in that regard.
As time goes by, sadly we will lose these pioneers and gifts to Humanity. However, the next generation of musicians arise and experiment with whatever god awful genres they are spewing out or stumbling over, I would hope with held breath, that one, just one prodigy decides to choose to emulate the style of this man.
Then, and only then, can Gilmour's heaven-sent music and spirit come back to life for everyone to enjoy again. For example, look at 6:08 minutes into this video. Note how the drummer is witnessing a true master performing a miracle on a fender, and loving every minute of it.
