I don't think it's mentioned here but heat engagers can only be used to enter heat if the opponent is grounded. So you wont go into heat if you use them in an air combo. The r1 heat move will work against opponents in the air though. I may be missing a detail or two but that is what I gathered.
One more thing regarding Electrics in Heat. Doing that type of electric will drain the meter with each use. If you do a true electric it won't drain the meter, so its still worth trying to make the execution better.
When I say this is deff the best fighting game I’ve played in a longgggg time. Never been this interested and invested in learning the characters. They made it very easy by having combo challenges for everybody, and I’m a martial artist so I love that they’re using real martial arts techniques and styles. So far I just used Hworang, Law, LeRoy, Abs the characters in the main story. All are fun asf! The heat system, the combos, the smoothness, just everything
I remember one of my friends said the easiest way to describe it is "what if we just gave geese Max mode to everyone?" Obviously that's a simplification but it kind tracks

Characters like King II and Lee who can refill their heat gages during battle are crazy and scary. Heat will make Lee's just frame attacks automatically work but doing the Just Frame's with the right timing will refill the heat gage by quite a bit. King also has a unique just frame activation where he will hit the Pedigree
I haven’t played tekken since tekken 4 and I have to say was really enjoying it and visually probably best fighting game yet. Very difficult I was getting destroyed by people who clearly played previous tekken but I still enjoyed it. I usually start getting tilted when I loose but you can see the skill level is high for this game and it’s fun at its core.
So far, I still enjoy the heat system and discovering what unique properties characters get out of them. Kuma's Heat System is probably the one I've enjoyed the most so far, letting him do EWGF loops of his own! XD
When they first went over the PowerPoint slides on the heat system it seemed really overwhelming. But it makes a lot more sense now because of this video.

My only real problems with Heat are Heat Bursts having armor and Heat Smashes that leave you plus, in stance, and right in someone's face if they block it. Heat Bursts being safe, armored mids goes against what Tekken 7 established, in that armored mids are always unsafe, with two exceptions that are balanced out by being negative on hit. Heat Bursts being armored and plus on block means there's virtually no consequences for just throwing them out. Heat Smashes that leave in stance, plus, and in someone's face bothers me because while there were Rage Drives that were safe or plus, they all had pushback.
I'm loving this game! Heat mode is easy to use, but there's a lot to learn with each character. It makes diving into move sets and figuring out how they change while in heat a lot of fun.
I like it. Tekken 8 lower the floor by making some execution easier, but also at the same time making the ceiling higher. This heat stuff put more depth in the gameplay. People can counter plan by not doing what the game want you to do. You duck thinking im going to grab when king in heat? Nah im using all these meter for mids.

i play a ton of basically every other fighting game (besides nrs ones, just not a fan) and tekken is still so alien to me. it's like the dota of fighting games. but the thing is... its really fun to make reina do the electric slide, so i wanna learn. this is a big help!!
Well if you face new players online most of the time they use the heat system just for the finisher. Kinda reminds me how drive impact is abused in the lower levels in SF6.
Thank you very much,but I got a question,for example devilster is a jin main,when he is doing a combo,the opponent is not blown away and he can make his combo longer without having the issue of dropping the combo because the opponent was too much ejected.that oftenly happens to me when I land too much hits and idk why it happens to me,can you explain me please ?
