Every time I watch I think "If this is a few bad years spending what does a good year look like" it's mind boggling.
He is the exception, money seems to be no issue around his place ever!
We dont have any crop or income insurance in Australia, so im with you guys.
You have to keep in mind that there are 4+ farms under FHF. Mike, his brothers, father, and I’m not sure beyond that. It isn't all in one basket.
@Len_M. Just Mike's part is mind boggling, the whole thing is beyond calculation.
@@PAYNEKILLER.. He didn't need that distance, I couldn't imagine the headache having land 8 hours apart.
Lights. You need lights. And a vice. And lights over your vice. And lights......
and when you are done.....add more lights.

Bro loves lights. But who doesn’t?
I died laughing when he said what’s a Keurig 😂😂
Funeral on Wednesday
Leave the wheels on but stick some wood underneath the bottom of it. It'll take the stress of bumps in the road off the wheels but you'll still be able to take the blocks out and move it around if needed
Mike, ***Leave the wheels on.*** I’ve had mobile heavy equipment & large tool chests over the decades. Mobility is the answer. You won’t regret it.
You should add a roof vent if there is not one, same one that is in cattle trailers, with it open going down the road will keep the inside pressurized so dust doesn’t come in
Reccord 6" vices. Non rotating ones. And some porta power gear for the mobile shop. A torch for heating things up or cutting, and some compressed air cans for freezing things. Also, do yourself a favor and put some telescoping booms on the corners of the trailer with big LED lights so that you can light up a breakdown zone. Honestly, i would be looking for an old service truck to tow this with to have a small crane and a welder on the back of too. That would be worth its weight in gold, but maybe you could get away with a portable engine hoist and pads to go under the wheels to stop it sinking in if you just have something smaller to lift? Dont forget to pick up hose splicing materials and wire splicing materials and tools!
Darn, no room left for the big screen TV, power recliner and beer fridge! 😆🤣 Seriously though, nice setup Mike.👍👍
👍 got to have a Beer 🍺 fridge !

Income tax avoidance spending spree! Love it!
Looking good Mike ! I’m kinda surprised one of you guys don’t have a utility bed on one of your trucks. Great video, thanks for sharing have a Great planting season 👍👍
few rags in there to clean those tools up before you put them away! seems like a big deal but helps save things in the long run.
And a couple cases of break cleaner.
I think I would have painted the inside of that trailer before I would've put stuff in it so it doesn't get stained with oil grease, especially the floor otherwise you're doing a nice job because you never know what you're gonna need.
Agreed! I'd put down some of that roll on non slip black goop on the floor at the very least. Still not to late to pull the tool box out and paint the walls white... Looking forward to seeing it in action!! 👍
Good to see the smart shopper come out in ya, son. Everything cost a bijillion bucks and smart shopping keeps a business afloat. When you were looking at travel trailers the other day at 100k plus, I nearly choked. We are seeing used trailers in great condition sell for pennies on the dollar.
God Bless you and your family.
those Stanley to go blow molded sets are great i use a set as a pro mechanic everyday for on the go use.
It seems like the air compressor is going to take up a lot of room. Could you not mount it on the deck of the trailer behind the work shed? Can't wait until you start planting. Best of luck to you this bud. Hope you crops grow tall and be plentiful.
So Mike, "i know you guys got some questions".... bud, gotta get some blocks of wood under that tool box, or your gunna drive those castors through the bottom of the box or through the floor of the trailer... besides, never know when you need a block
of wood. Better buy some fire extinguishers
Fitting out the service trailer is taking a bit of money, time & effort but I'm fairly certain you'll reap the rewards many times over when the seeding & harvesting really gets going. There's not much worse than suffering a breakdown & not being able to fix it for lack of the right tools. They always occur at the most inconvenient moments & you've deadlines to meet plus the weather's about to change for the worse. Prevention is always better than cure & of course Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Looking forward to seeing you get that seed in the ground for a bumper harvest 2024.😎
Agree with the vice, fire suppression and lights suggestions. I think you need to include some colored accent lights in the wheel wells. Absolutely no useful value but they would look cool! You can probably find some on sale somewhere.
As a more serious suggestion, is there any value in having a wall-mounted two-way radio base station with a large antenna and enough power to reach people farther away than the cab-mounted radios can, like when you've got teams in separate fields miles apart?
You should get a boot brush
Nice thing about Stanley tools is you can exchange broken tools at Canadian tire no questions asked no receipt required.
It’s a start to equip a repair trailer
I love buying tools and filling my toolbox and workbench. Unfortunately i do not have much to fix!!
Great video Mike
Looking good
If you get a vice you should mount it on receiver hitch tubing that you can put in a receiver hitch of a truck or mount one on the side of a trailer frame
great video mike
9:20 and a coffie machine
Those double tank Hondas are good compressors
Those socket sets are on sale at Canadian Tire for $129 it’s a good deal
Great video but one thing that gets me is, for each tool kit you have only one ring spanner for each tool kit. When i was doing repairs or putting something together when i was farming i always found that there were two ends of the bolt needed holding, bit fifficult with only one spanner.
7:48 Mike got another Case Tractor??
Need the horsepower to grind up the prairie
Who's case FWA ?
@@kentonleriger8288 Not Sure… 🤷♂️
Mike magnifique remorque atelier et les outils à batterie est bien équipés 😂😮😅😊
Add a white tarp to put under your workspace. When you drop things, you don’t have to search in the dirt.
Need something on the floor that is easy to clean, doesn't absorb oil or mud.
Have to do something to protect the floor. Heavy paint coat or plastic flooring
Those black hand tools look great until you drop them on black soil in low light conditions.
Tassimo!😁
Mike, where did you get the long mudflaps on the front of Ur pickup.
That is not so handy that you must have two quint of wrenches, standard and matrix.😧
You are done well with that mobile shop.👍
Morning
You may want to consider installing some LED lights inside and out Mike.
You'll need something to unplug Combines
A 8 inch vise would good to have also
You definitely need a broom, I'm actually surprised to see you wearing shoes in that trailer, u take them off almost everywhere else
lol
Can you post more info on that sewage pump? I would like to try that out
Did i see a front wheel assist Case IH?
Hello Mike good officine 🔧🛠️🔩🗜️⚙️👍😉🇮🇹
Hi Mike. Whose and what was the case front assist in the background at 7.30?
Bought a $2000 generator welder feom Home Depot up to 200 amp way better than my corded one
Spend the money get a Rol-Air compressor I’ve ran every brand over the years and my current Rol-Air is on year 6 ran every day six days a week plus they actually warranty the dam thing with no questions asked
Where did you get the Stanley tool kit? With the foam I really want one for my tool box
Canadian Tire
Etrack tool box
I was wondering y you guys don't run service truck versus trailer what is advantages of trailer
Mike, wheres the coffee maker?
All them tools are great but you need coffee
Calling Imperial tool set with word "standard" blows my mind.
Even hardcore Americans agree that metric should be used anywhere at any time.
Do you have anything planned for keeping the batteries charged? Do you plug them at the shop or do you have a portable charging setup?
Personally I would put a few solar panels on the roof and 12 V battery in the trailer. Milwuake has 12V chargers which would come handy for this.
Solar on the roof??

A brand new Case Vestrum 2024 (7:50) ???
Mike, I thought you had four combines, two X9's and two S690's, now another S690 ?
Not all the combines are his… the ones he stated are the ones “he” owns.
@@crandonborth
For me this is what I know, he said last year he had (owns) 2 X9's and 2 S690's in a video, now he literally said (3:55) "I have 3 S's and 2 X's ", so that is why I came to 5 combines, I assume he talks about HIS combines that he owns, that would be 1 more than last year. 😉
I know last year there were 11 combines on the 2 farms, so probably now 12.
@@ytfan3815 Yes you are right except for the fact he doesn’t own the X9’s only the S series. The X9’s are leases as is the two Case Quads.
@@crandonborth
Okay, thx for the update. 😉
Would have been nice to have a window somewhere in there, either roof or wall.
👍
Mike where do you find your fuel pump at
Mike. With that fuel pump (sewer pump) can you still use an automatic shutoff handle? I’m wondering if you need an extra person to shut off the pump or can it deadhead for a minute with no issues?
Absolutely, no issues at all
Thanks I’m setting up my own fuel trailer and also don’t like the price of the 12V pumps.
The pump makes no difference as the handle is what has the shut off in it.
Κανένα πρόβλημα Μαικ
Yes the handle shuts uff the fuel but the regular fuel transfer pumps have a bypass valve that kicks in when the handle is off. That’s my main concern is there is no relief valve in a sewer pump. But if it works then it works. Thanks everyone for the replies.
Beer fridge???
I have been following you on Utube for umpteen years now and am confused. Is this mobile tool trailer to serve only the equipment that you own personally (my combine, my drill, my grain bin, etc)? Do your brothers/dad have their own mobile tool trailers?
They have their own yes, and I have been using theirs for years. Each farm needs to have their own equipment, yes we can share the shop and some other things but we are 100% separate and always have been 🙂 I am just late to the game on this one because I have overlapped (helped) them in other areas.
Need a small welder.
What… a UA-camr without a thunder creek ??
air compressor with a gas engine and mount on the outside
What is that small red tractor in the background
A Case Vestrum, probably new 2024 tractor, ..... didn't see it before. 😉
Mike Mitchell
Bravo
I think taking the wheels off and blocking it would've been much easier to do and looked cleaner instead of doing all this e track on the wall and straps over the whole box which you have to undo and redo every time you need to go grab a quick tool
🔥👊🔥🔨🏍🚜⚙️
One thing I don’t agree eith is your employees should not be replacing the kits if they break them. That’s illegal. Imagine working at any other job and having to pay out of pocket for something that breaks. As an employer that’s just the cost of having employees.
Haha well if something legitimate breaks, that's fine I ll replace it. But if they are using a racthet for a chisle or hammer and destroy it because they don't want to walk over to get the right tools, that's on them or don't work here. 😂🤷🏼♂️ It curbs the "not my problem" attitudes
@@mikemitchell2554 yeah okay I can definitely agree with that. If it was a perfect world you would just let those guys go and replace them with guys who care. Unfortunately those types of workers are becoming unicorns
The broken stuff can usually be replaced under warranty regardless of how it is used. The problem is the missing stuff.
You're always complaining about too few cup holders. You can put as many in here as you like 😂
Don’t you have a big heated building to work in.
Cheap stud finder
Put the oil outside on the trailer in a truck storage box! Way better place for it!
I see you have a 10 mm 😂
Why didn't u just buy a semi service truck that can handle the weight, carry more stuff, haul more fuel and get around better than that flimsy trailer thats gonna have flat tires left n right and no room to carry anything.. could of easily found a used one with tanks, crane, compressor, welder, generator with side tool boxes. Bumper trailers suck, they squat your pickup, are crap to pull in mud, and with a load of fuel will eat tires..
Your not a mechanic are you?
Absolutely not! 😂
fire supresion
Who got the new case 4x4 tractor settin on the other side of the trailer, did Mike get another tractor
Drawers will fly open when you stab the brakes.
Did you not notice the straps
That's why he showed us the strap setup for holding the toolbox!
