Allistair swapping that blower to a more modern framed unit will completely transform the tractor.... Will find you can make the same power with hugely less back pressure / heat with added bonus of most likely much more bottom end responce.... From my experiance the one thing that has moved on the most (by far) in all aspects of diesel performance over the years is turbo technology, The power I can get out of turbos the size of your thumb these days is simply unbelievable at times!! Smoke will always be a struggle with any mechanical pump, but the newer tubo will aid that also in fairness. Look foward to seeing it progress.

Could listen to your father all day Allistair, amazing man. I mean this with the upmost respect but I don’t think he was born, I think he was quarried. Tough as they come.

Men like this is why I desperately wanted to be an agricultural engineer as a boy. 25 years later I’m still going because of men like this who were good enough to share there knowledge with me. Well done fantastic work

The cooke's are some Boyo's... I watch Allistair's youtube channel all the time, he takes on some mammoth welding jobs.. Very interesting chap to listen to.. This was class !!

Old school engineering at its best. Ken should write a book, he’s probably forgotten more than what most of today’s generation will ever learn in their lifetime. Go back next time and make a video of the engineering workshop. Keep up the videos Alistair. 👍

I was talking to Ken briefly last year during the summer, he was zooming about the yard in a little electric scooter lol I had the pleasure to walk around this collection and the rest of the factory. Amazing place!

I think I've died and gone to heaven, never tried a Muir hill but always wanted to, driven several counties, driven many makes but I want to go to county heaven when I die, never seen a 1374 though

It would be worth looking into a blaylock switchblade turbo people are fitting them to older kit with amazing results
He is like my old boy just a good old farm boy,was grafting with two crutches and barely able to walk because of hip's a different generation for sure

👌🏻Great video. Allister’s channel is equally as interesting to listen to if you’ve into heavy engineering, big machines, welding.
It’ll be good to see Big Blue this year in action if he gets them adjustments done to it and see up against Young’s Massey or Tugwell’s Fendt he’s bringing this year……or anyone else who brings big power to the event!👏🏻
