Maybe Doug will take a vacation and you guys can get a new Fertilizer Tender. Great entertainment. Still better than TV.
You guys are going to have to talk to Zach Johnson about the safety hazard of the draw strings on your hoodies. I was just waiting the Big Sweed to get sucked into the fan of the 98 Chevy in the last video!
Be careful Guys! Those draw strings are super dangerous! A Farming buddy of mine almost got suck into an auger when the draw strings got wrapped abound a shaft!
Oh, Dougo, the checkbook was in good hands! Chet has a sound mind!
Eric "Buy everything" 😂😂
For the Big Swede to truly be a "Silverado Man" he needs a massive belt buckle and a big flat orange bug deflector for the hood
Chef , buy a good truck tire wheel dolly and you will never have to take the tires off the hub to do a brake job or wheel seal replacement again. Just remove the oil or grease cap, take the wheel nuts off and pull the whole assembley. I worked on tractor-trailers 22 years and never broke them down the way you guys do. You certainly have enough trucks to warrant owning one.
Merlin gonna crack the whip lol just because he's not seen much he still knows everything going on !!
Daddy didn’t seem too thrilled about the new addition to the farm Chet. Lol
Chet mentioned gravel was needed for a project this year. When you erected the last corn bin there were a lot of trips to pick up gravel for the base. Since you were storing corn in smaller bins last fall plus selling corn directly from the field, my guess is Larson Farms is erecting a new corn bin in 2024.
Either that or more cold storage for equipment would be my guess.
Load King Belly Dump?
Excellent choice.
Probably need some love, but if y’all run outa work, Big Swede can hire out hauling gravel!
Well done, folks.
Oldtimers that drove truck in the 70s (like my Dad) called those rims Daytons (split rims) and Bydds (1 piece rims). It's very rare to see a trailer with Dayton rims still on the road.
Dayton and budd is the hub style has nothing to do with one piece wheels or split wheels. BUDD refers to stud pilot hubs in which a set of lug nuts goes on the inner wheel then the outer wheel and another set of lug nuts. Or Hub pilot hubs which have one set of lug nuts. Dayton refers to the spoke style hubs that use wedges and nuts to hold the wheels on. Daytons are still super common on trailers Especially container trailers
Great video as always! Mr. Dougo is looking younger after his well rested vacation!😂 He is looking spiffy in his camo-black shirt, fresh hair-cut and large-in charge inspecting everything in the shop!!!
You guys work great together and it’s amazing how you boys can fix anything! I am not shocked you boys tear so much up but you work hard and play hard! I hope you guys miss all that snow! Chet! Chet! Chet! Don’t put the snow blower up…it will bite you every time! Hope everyone has a blessed week!
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHET AND BRODY and the Big SWEDE 😊
In Aus. we call those rims spider rims. They are fine but after fitting a rim to wheel you have to keep tightening the wheel nuts for a while as they will come loose. Also when tightening the nuts you spin the wheel with an object on the ground close to the tyre to check that the wheel is mounted so it has not got a lot of wobble. Also when taking off the wheel NEVER take the nuts right off only loosen them as the wedge will have to be hit with a hammer to dislodge it and if the nut is off the wedge will fly off and people have been killed as a result of being hit in the head.
Dayton wheels not bad to use all good points made @tallboy49 but in his use not worth messing with due to rest of the fleet using budds
You guys are fun to watch keep up the good work.
That plug is why they make glad hand seals with screens to keep wasps out
You've got to love that Doug o One and a million I love His sense of humor I don't think he even tries I think it just comes out either that or it just strikes me as entertaining to say the least A day without Doug o
is like a day without sunshine. LOL
CI(:
What happened to the Home renovation video that was uploaded after this video?
New cold storage building, ,one truck and trailer combo deep, doors on the long side where the pig barn was🎉 Someone mentioned something about equipment not sitting outside anymore a lot of videos ago😂
Oh Dougo. I can relate, my friend. We occasionally go to OKC to the heart doctor. My wife Sioux almost always drives. I can't handle that many people anymore. When we enter the huge hospital, I try to not talk. My little town is just right.
GREAT video. great job guys
Chet Eric Broodie great job great buy easy repairsyou guys got a great deal 👍
You need another shed or two😊
Great video and i think that Dougo is happy with the purchase!
It really easy to switch those trailers over to hub pilot just go to a truck junk yard and take them off of a newer truck I've done it to a few dump trucks it's easy
Awesome video Chet. 🚜🚜🚜
Ever get your fuel tanks painted with your logo yet. That would be awesome to see
they make glad hand rubbers with screens in em .
Cool shirt Dougo
great video
Great video...
WD-40 on the glad hand guys works well hooking up quick and not rolling the gasket.
Dougo is an absolute legend
Need a Rock Crusher now
You guys are set up to win ! So impressed with everything yal do . Thanks for another great video !
Love it
I can’t express how much I enjoy watching you googans! Much love- stay safe
Good stuff guys
another great video
When you hook up to trailers after they sit a while check the glad hand connections because birds love to make nest in there we experience it all the time
😅love the vacation from my vacation.
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Your used belly dump trailer does not look too bad. It is not all beat up so that is a plus. Seems there is always a few things to fix on a new purchase. Overall looks ok.
Shop looks full with jobs. You and the crew always work your way through all the jobs.
Dougo is checking out the new purchase while he was gone. Seems ok with it. Chet has a keen eye when buying.
All for now. Thanks for everything. You all take care.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Trailer would look good with aluminum wheels! Nice find
You should put extensions for your glad hands .. you won’t regret it. I have them on my truck and I like them
those are good trailers
Magnifique remorque et bien 😮😅
Great video you guys. Looks like you made a good purchase Chet. Dougo looks worn out. Cool video. 👍❤️
Doug that is a great shirt.
we are going to start planting beans Thursday in Iowa
Happy Spring to The Larsons and all who make our nation great. It’s still winter here in New England
I hope they have an easier spring than 2023.
Probably building a machine shed this summer
Finally wearing some hearing ppe.. glad to see it.
You have the big Swede and now little Swede
“Oh it was elevated” 😂
You and your crew are almost more of mechanics than farmers. Although the two go hand and hand. If you look at the fleet of equipment, the replacement value would blow most people’s mind. But, it appears you buy good solid used equipment run it and maintain it. That will serve you guys well long term. so many BTOs run new leased equipment. Inflation will cost them big.
I saw on mom’s channel that you guys finally polished them aluminum wheels on some stuff. Let’s see that.
Like Dougo said, fix the bumper….and please paint the wheels!
lol Erick’s truck by the look of the wheel on the last video was guessing instant full upper lower ball joint job, mayas well just go right through the front end.
Oh, oh...buying without authorization. Chet is in trouble with dad and Randy!
I did that once; bavking off the trailer brakes, bad, bad karma!
Get the shielded gladhand seals to keep the critters out.
Dougo just needs some Martin 2.0 time
Smelling bad things several times is like touching an electric fence one more time just to be sure
Or like sticking your tongue on a 9 volt or a butt hole, you know better but you do it atleast once 😂
I remember when I gave my younger brother a piece of wire and told him to touch the electric fence I still carry the scar my dad gave me😅
Get two for the price of one!!!!
Mud dobbers plug up a lot of stuff w dirt building nests
Good idea to avoid those spoke wheels! Can be quite the headache!!
The studs were lose from taking the nuts off the outer wheel. Gotta love budd style hubs...
Pie and coffee
I had the last of the Easter cheese cake and coffee! Good job Chet and crew! It was GREAT seeing Dougo and Amy take some vacation time together! They are a real pair of Americans from the heartland !
The big Swede needs to go on line to GMC and order his parts for the Chevrolet pickup
I know where Dougo is coming from with crowds. I used to have problems with more than 4 people, I've got better now but still can't handle more than 10. Anyway hope you enjoyed your holiday, loved the watermelon farm piece that was interesting. Did you do the gravel inspection before or after the holiday Dougo? Anyway thanks for the work you guys do just a shame it was so short this time. From UK.
I tape the glad hands if it's going to sit for very long. The bugs love to put fuzz in them...
Chet you likely already noticed or it may just be a bad angle, but it looks like the trailer base plate holding the 5th wheel pin is cracked.
Blessings... Larson Farms, Ps chapter 91 and Ephesians chapter 6 Amen. ❤
Eric stick your money in that 98 and it'll never leave u on the side of the road. I have a 98 and I probably stuck as much money into it as I did buying it. But I wanted to know I could jump in it and drive n not worry.. I love a 98 1500 chevy..
But I'm also alot like you, I have a newer f150 like you too..
We think dad's not happy, but still😊
Snow ! What's that ? I live in nw ohio, & we had the lightest snow fall in my 66 yrs..4" all year 😢
Central Canada, Manitoba here we had a few smaller storms but no really regular snowfall. Mostly all gone now and very little frost.
I would love to see a show about the Larsons Farm how cool would that be for anyone else god bless
Put a Ford grill on that Chevy!
Have Eric rattle can the wheels on your new to you belly dump.
A well-oiled pit crew.
Go around check all lug nuts if those were loose mite be more
Why not a side dump ? Can haul a lot of different things
Those rodents love the “soy” coated wire slings don’t they. Had to replace a bunch 2 years ago on our Kubota.
Chet… did you guys ever have Allis Chalmers tractors… I saw a 7000 series maroon belly in the kitchen of the shop… just wondering
Yes they had a couple in the 80/90s
@@LarsonFarms not trying to quiz ya… ( I’m an Allis Chalmers geek) what were the models?
Mud dobber made the nest in the supply line.
Are those budd wheels or hub pilot wheels on that trailer? Hub pilot good, budd bad.
When the cats away the mice will play😂
We call spoke wheels east coast wobblers. The coast is the only place you ever saw them and they were never on straight.
👍
If you're avoiding buyers remorse, don't look up the value of that nice new Ram truck.
I don’t think it was new when they bought it?
Applies to used as well. As Ram drops prices, used reacts also.
There is a video on UA-cam about the prices of Dodge and Ram vehicles. Stellantis vehicle fleet does not me CAFE fleet mileage standards. In 2016-2017 they were fined $138 Million. Last year it was over $200 Million. i was jut in the dealer showrooms last week. A Jeep Rubicon with V8 Hemi listed for $98,000. It is our government making these vehicle costs so high. Stellantis does not build enough 4 cylinder high mileage cars. You are not going to beat the government. A government that won two world wars and can print their own money will always win. I now give you DEF for your diesel engines.
I know that feeling 💯%🤣
@@joegotz1971That’s why Jeep/Dodge lag virtually every other manufacturer in the world by so many metrics, except big cubes, high ponies, and high thirst. . They will cease to exist within 10-15 years.
I don’t think Dougo was too thrilled with the purchase. Next time must give him a call to let him be involved and he will be all about it.
I like that semi tire carrier/slider... I never had one, I would have killed for something like that over the years. I am retired now, I just tell you what to do and you do what you were going to do. Ha Ha.
we get spiders building nests in air valves
The big eclipse tomorrow 🎉🎉🎉 its like Y2K all over again 😂😂😂
Mobile rock crusher next 🤔😏😏😏😂
Where did you get your fancy tire removal tool?
I know right where you're coming from Dougo. Get me in a big crowd of people and I'm ready to explode. One time it Firestone country club I had a downright panic attack. Crowded places lots of people you can have it, it's not for me!
Why don't you get a drum jack so you don't hurt your back
We need a new equipment tour with dougo
Good choice, I like Budd wheels better than shit spreader wheels too!
What kind of work pants are you using Chet ?
