Queen, that braid style is for you! It compliments the shape of your face. I like the length. You are truly beautiful.
Love your beauty tips. Especially for braids. I will ask. Helpful tips for braids. 💖 Blessings, love, peace n prosperity. 💖
So sexy
🤮
I’m so mad I can’t see the full video cause the link is NOT CLICKABLE…
Great tips. Because its a protective style doesn’t mean you don’t maintain and upkeep your hair and scalp. Your braids look great.
Yup!
AMEN!
Never NEVER thought to clean my braids daily to prevent build up. That’s some good advice. Thank you!
…? fr
Same 🏃♀️ 🧴 🚿
I wash mine weekly. Keep ‘em in for 2 months
🤢
Best braids on you I loved the rose top bun you had❤❤❤❤
I was born in the late 70’s, raised in the 80’s and grew up in the 90’s. My generation would use sea breeze to clean our scalp or witch hazel. It’s effective for cleansing as well as keeping the itch away.
Would you remoisturize after cleaning the scalp?
Also do you dilute the witch hazel?
Yes indeed
Sea breeze drys your hair out
@@shantedewise7345which is why you get non alcohol and moisturize afterwards 🥴
Yessss the first salon i worked on was owned by a lady in her 70s she taught me about scalp cleansers
its crazy because I can wear my box braids for three months and when I take them out I usually rock the braidout look for a week. maintaining your scalp while your hair is braided is the secret formula!
👍🏽alot of people don't know you can wash your braids. It's a must!
But won't it frizz
Just make sure to get them all the way dry 😊
I’ve always known you can but I never have because I’m scared it will never dry and will grow mold or start to smell or something… my natural hair can take 5-6 hours to dry on a good day and I imagine braids would double that easily?
But then they don’t last as long. You can just let the shower water run and gently massage.
@@isisthegoddess9774that’s why i’d recommend washing them after the 2-3 week period. That’s nearly a month so it works best for me
It’s the 7 years to take them out alone I don’t have, but you look incredible!!!!❤❤❤
This comment 😂😂😂😂😂😂
7 years… ☠️😭😂🤣🤣🤣
Fr though, those are so small
I just gradually take them out over 1-2 weeks, starting from the middle, and hiding it with half-up styles and eventually a bun covered by just the braids at the perimeter.
@@hoosieraussis1great idea💡 😊
That updo is real cute!! It looks like roses! 😍 🌹
Agreed that was cute!!
That joseline clip was edited in the perfect part! 😂❤
Toooook me out
😆Her HAIR!!!! 😭😭😭😭💀 looked like a 4 year old did it 🤣😭💀
I hollered lmbo
Sure was…sent me 😂😂😂
Always screaming I’m a Puerto Rican, what a Afro? Headass.
3b, 3c?? That’s looks like 4a, 4b hair with heat damage I’m confused
Definitely 4a
I wish I could help but I don't know what any of the numbering and lettering means.
Yes, but I wasn't going to say it. Hair changer with consistent heat. The curls become looser but still 4a/b
My thoughts as well.
It actually looks like 3c, 4a
I have 4c... I can do the maintenance wipes but a full wash I cant unfortunately because that wash and the friction makes my hair loc and they're almost impossible to take out... So I have to take them out after like 6 weeks max... but these maintained great I so jelly... super cute
Omg same I can’t wash my 4C hair with braids
Your braids look amazing at three months. Thanks for the great tips
The parts are neat and these braids are beautiful 😍
I love the clean your scalp daily tip. Never thought about it daily but it’s like how you wash your skin and face daily since scalp is skin! Thank you for sharing your hair care!
When she say her curl pattern, I said yes heat damage😂
Lmfaoo I was looking for this comment!!
Wow. I need to try some of these tips because my hair gets so itchy with my braids but I need them because of my workout routine!
When does the itch start from the 1st few days n throughout or as the braids get stale? Cos if it’s from the onset maybe find hair that has been pre washed or pre wash it yourself to get the chemicals out it before getting them braided in
Try washing your braid hair before doing your protective style. Use ACV (apple cider vinegar). You will find the itching will virtually be nonexisting,
After that process, see youtube for steps how to wash your braid hair before attaching to your hair.
Bless 🇬🇧
I never thought about this too but I always kept my braids cleaned every week with Sea Breeze omg it’s the best feeling. That cool and cleaning feeling when washing your braids in the shower. I might have to start back wearing them.. ❤
What's Sea Breeze now?
@@shalanathomas7751 it’s a cleaning astringent. they use it to clean face and skin, some people use it as a toner. My hairstylist got me using it in my hair. It works great in hair cleaning out product and making your scalp very clean… Then she would use a little shampoo. It has a cool feeling to your skin they have the normal and extra strength…
@@shalanathomas7751An astringent (like witch hazel). It's at the beauty supply store.
Preach!!!!! Love Seabreeze
@@amberclarke5875 Yes I still rinse my hair in it, if I don’t have any organic peppermint shampoo.
As a hairstylist everything you said was absolutely correct !! Everything
Still looking FIYAH 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 your braids are beautiful . Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽❤️👍🏽
Your hair don’t look 3B/3C it looks damaged. My hair looked the same when I transitioned and then finally big chopped, I got that type 4 hair once the damaged ends were gone and my true curls would pop.
You’re braider is fire 🔥. You really did an excellent job explaining how to care for your braids. ❤
You look amazing, the braider killed that
I can not tell you how much i appreciated this video. So much information. Amazing. I watched it so many times. I loved the quickness of it too.
Come through with them Lorvae sunglasses!!!!! DT❤️🎉
Braids looks amazing! Now, this is a good video to show peeps how to take care of their braids! Wow, like I’m so serious cause I see some peeps braids after a month and 🤢🤮! I think some people think that with braids they don’t have to do anything with them except do edges and put in a bun! Scalp be dirty, crusty and smelly! Thanks for sharing.
I once commented on a video about how it is possible to wash braids and got piled on lmaoo. So many “you’re not black. You don’t have 4c hair blah blah.”
I was just so confused? Like when did this start? Ive gotten braids since the 90s (long before any of this “protective style” lingo came into play) and I’ve always washed them.
They were also totally convinced that their hair didy smell after going 2-3 months without washing. Even if someone doesn’t sweat or get oily easily, their hair is still picking up dirt, dust, debris and odors from the environment.
Sorry for the long rant 😅 lol. I’m happy there are creators out there debunking this myth
3b 3c????
Your hair looks exactly like mine and I’ve been told
It’s 4a-4b
I have 3b and 3c and Def the curl are not that tight 🙃
@@LaylaMFI think you’ve both been misled… her hair definitely looks like 3b to me. I have 3c/4a and it’s a combination of very tight ringlets (slightly larger than a pencil) and some S waves.
You've been lied to. Nothing 4 about that hair.
@@Hannah-zw9ow I’ll be so fr
My sister has type 3c hair and it’s not the same texture as mine.
The lady in the video has the EXACT same hair type as me
I’ve got low porosity hair, which I hate but I’ve always been told my hair is 4a and 4b at the back kinda.
I was waiting for this comment ...she is 4A/4B
I love your natural hair too!
Wash? I could never. I wear braids 3-6 weeks max.
6 weeks with out washing your hair? Lmaoo wash your hair.
Braids are a lot of manipulation to wear less than 6 weeks. Might lead to breakage.
She's beautiful and she knows it. Love the braids!!
Love your hair hygiene!
I love this video. Thanks. I braid my own hair. I will add the wipe down daily... love that tip!!!
Wow thanks for this tips
I wash my braids as well. I like that scalp massager. I prefer knotless braids. They are less tension on the scalp. Your braids are beautiful.
But won't it frizz washing everyday
Nah the added clip with joseline im in tears 😂😂😂
I can’t wait til my sister locs get this long. That first style is just *chefs kiss*
Love this! Great tips thank you so much ❤️❤️
😂😂😂😂😂😂I’m DEAD TO THE WORLD!!!
Not, Joselines Shawshank-Straight Backs, looking like she scraped together some hair for those braids😂😂😂
Edit:
👀😳 😝🤭
justa Ki. I respect 🫡 ✊🏾 tha struggle back then.
Good idea for locs too! Thanks for the ideas!
They did that hair girl❤. I did my in Ghana 🇬🇭 and I last me 6months and still nobody could tell
So nobody could tell that your hair was 6 months old ?you didn't have any hair growth at all in 6 months?
I'm a 4c girl *allegedly and I'm all for washing and conditioning my hair. But using a scalp massage whilst washing, will have me in the Disney sequel Tangled!
Thanks for the other tips 🙂
Love the braids
Very smart of you to bring nourishment because you are going to be there a looooong time! I don't know how you ladies do it, but I commend you! Beauty takes time!
Those infamous Joseline braids Dunn took me ouuut😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I literally do my own braids, and I do it so often it reduces build up, and overall breakage. I have been braiding this stuff up for over 20 years and I definitely keep my ends clipped, washed and a light sheen moisturizer. 😊
Those braids are gorgeous!!!!
This style really suits you 👍 I never thought about this style back in the days when I was doing my own micros. Seeing this hairstyle makes me wanna go back in time ❤️
Three months. Wow. They still look so good
These look BEAUTIFUL!
Looks gorgeous! I’m always in awe regarding the amount of work that requires 🎉
3 months?! My 3b / 3c hair can’t even last more than 3 weeks 😅🤦🏾♀️.
That half up half down bun in the beginning is so pretty!!!❤❤❤
The Stevie J and those braids.... Clip is crazy 😂😂😂 your hair is gorgeous
Thant you! You the GOAT for this, so many of us get frustrated because after a few weeks we can be over it especially with the new growth
Three months!?!? They look amazing!
How do you keep your parts so neat?
Her hair texture helps, the finer or "easier" to manage your texture is, in my opinion, the less work it takes to keep the hair inside the braid/twist etc. But also, taking care to wrap it up, not disturbing the parts by scratching too much etc. People with 4c hair tend to have to blowdry and straighten their hair for knotless braids and after that gel wears off, the base of the braid gets textured again. I have 4c and thick hair, so there's already a lot of hair to pack away and the texture is coily, my hair looks "old" relatively quickly given my hair frizzes easily. But this is why I like kinkier textured hairstyles like locs, kinky/spring twists as the older they get the better they tend to look.
Im sure she gets them redone at some point. Refreshing perimeter or center
I don't see how she keeps it looking so nice after all that washing and rubbing
@@kokolatte825 I think the size helps a great deal, especially if the braider tucker her hair well.
@@kokolatte825frizz can be an indicator of breakage. As long as she is gentle and het hair is moisturized she shouldn’t really get to frizzy.
Lmfao not Joseline w/ the crooked straight backs scene on LHH😂😂😂😂 & Stevie gassing her😅
That’s a great suggestion! I’m sure that will help some of the breakage I had. Just didn’t know you could clean that often. The braider’s themselves should educate as long as we are sitting in their chairs!!!😂
I actually wash my hair with box braids... that allows me to keep them longer. 👍
Girllll your hair looks damn good! How much did that cost you and where is the shop located?
YOU FLY, I LOVE THE BRAIDS
I haven’t seen someone wear micros in a while! They’re cute!
Just like dreads , dirty hair grows way quicker than clean hair
Facts. Hair needs love & a clean environment to thrive. Your hair looks healthy & beautiful. Thx for the 💎
Wow! Those are some beautiful braids. Great maintenance routine!
Love your hair and the tips you gave ❤
I looooove braids. ❤ and yours are beautiful 😍
Hair is beautiful. Can you provide your braider info? Is she located in VA or ATL?
The best video advice on braided hair that I ever seen… good job
lol that scene w/ Joseline’s braids is so memorable because we were all thinking the same thing.
That scalp massager is LIFE!!! I love mine😍
Those braids are beautiful ❤️
My buildup was crazy… gonna be a lot more careful in the future believe… but my hair grew thick and long. X I love my hair!!!
Omg 😮 those braids are gorgeous
omg thank you for instructions on cleaning braids. omg people look and learn how to do it right! 👍🏿
You’re beautiful & that’s amazing for 3 months! ❤
I currently have knotless braids & I love your routine. Thanks for sharing! Your braids look great.
Her hair is beautiful😍but I LOVE the jacket!!!🥰
You look stunning
I love your routine, Ive never seen a braiding one ,never heard of a size chart either, thanks for sharing
Thanks for this! I wash it every other week but appreciate the daily maintenance tip upkeep.
Mine too. My hair has grown so much. My beautician is a beast with hair care on my touch ups.
I was weak at the Jocelyn small braid big part clip😂😂😂
Wow your hair looks amazing 😍
Very beautiful, I have never had not less braids . I remember when I washed my braids. This is a good video.👍🏾
Thanks for the tips sis!
Love to see someone else who washes their hair while wearing braids! People look at me crazy when I tell them I wash mine. I’m not sure who started the lie that we can’t/shouldn’t wash our hair while in protective styles. I don’t think people realize hair picks up odors from the environments. Even if you don’t sweat or have an oily scalp, windy days or a smelly room will leave your head funky!!!
In my opinion, it also helps with the takedown process not to have braids full of oil and product.
I thought everyone did. I'm just learning that most people don't wash their braids!😮
TFS, I will implement your scalp routine I wear crochet protective style.
thanks for the tips!
I smiled when I heard her say clean your edges and wash your braids. It works
You look fabulous!🏌️🎤
I want to do this. I just took my braids down after a month. 😢 How do you keep your natural hair from locking up with this technique?
Yes! Keeping the scalp cleansed even with extensions is a must for healthy scalp care!
Great info!
Beautiful braids!
I love the hair. And your saying if it doesn’t apply let it fly ❤❤😂
Love it❤❤❤❤❤❤thanks for sharing this with us ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yall do know, baby hairs is basically....breakage.
Or it could be hair that had broke that is growing back.
@@tranquilityj3200 ......breakage
Now Iesha, 😂😂😂, you certainly demonstrated the difference well with that clip. 😂😂😂
Love your hair hygiene tips! I don't have braids at all (I rock a pixie cut) I see so many woman with braids that DO NOT take care of them! I hope these tips and tricks encourage someone.
My build up gets so bad. I’m dreading taking my knotless braids out this week, but they have to go. I’ll try better maintenance next time.
