Update: I went with #1 and it was awesome!! My scalp was CLEAN! Because I had to be somewhere, I had the first two rows of braids retouched a couple of days later. She said I did a good job! Lol Rinsing wasn't an issue, but couldn't help getting the longer part of the braids a little damp. I work from home, so it was convenient to sit around with a towel wrapped around my braids. THANK YOU for this video!!!
👋🏽 do you mean just the first 2 rows in front ? Have you ever gotten 2 or 3 rows in the crown redone , that way they fall on top of the older braids and since you got the crown done, the braids look so much better.
@@twill1007 It was the first two rows that frame my face, ear to ear. I have a tendency to pin some braids to the side and back, showing the edges, so I needed the sides done too. It worked out perfectly.
Yes that shampoo is the bomb for braids I love it I've been rocking my box braids for over 2 months my goal is 3 months in October n yes I used this shampoo once a month
I usually keep my braids in 3 months. This my first time getting knotless for bday and Oct 2 be 2 months and they looking all over.. I was going to get some redone but I'm like I should wash it one last time. I feel regular box braids may be better as you can't see the new growth so fast...
Thanks so much. The tip on holding your braids out of the sink while washing the scalp is simple and genius!! I’m gonna do #2 tonight bc my scalp is dirty! 1.5 months in
Just thanking you again for this video! I found it last summer and used method number one (extra props to you for the Carol’s Daughter product recommendation 🙌🏾). It worked great then, and I’m about to do this again right now on my month-old braids. Gotta stretch that investment fo sho! 😉
Same here.. I treat myself to braids of some sort on my bday. First time getting knotless and its almost 2 months. The new growth showing compared to regular box braids makes it harder to maintain. I don't wear a bonnet either which I should. Rest of year I am wearing wigs. Braids too pricey to not keep in. When I did my own box braids, took me 3 days and I kept them in 3 months I believe. Did them Feb 2020 and Covid shut it down March 2020. So def if I'm paying someone else to do my hair expect to get at least 90 days in.
Thank you Sooooo Much! Getting ready to wash my braids using your technique #2. I L.O.V.E.D the what I can do in-between since I go to am Aqua Fit Class ( swim aerobics). I do wear a swim cap! I appreciate your video and will subscribe to your channel 🥰
Girrrrrrlllll, the very reason I searched for this video, get my money wrong. Never paid this much for braids 🤦🏾♀️ Thank you so much, I’ll take option #2 for 200 LoL
Carol daughter wash day shampoo is really good and it smells great. I use to wear my hair braided but omg, it just is so expensive plus some braiders don’t braid as good but u still pay the price. Once, I retired, I changed up my style. I started getting my natural hair braided but then wearing crochet hair. It’s much cheaper plus I can wear it as long as I like, then take down and get it redone again. Wearing this style,?my hair has NEVER grown like it has now and it’s really thick as well. But when it comes to shampooing my hair, I just wash my entire head and condition it too. But thanks for sharing ur wash tips new ideas always helps. 😊
