Thank you, Sara! Very fun, inspiring video. I read that in the olden days Vogue magazine offered sewing patterns to their readers. Wouldn't that be a great thing to revive!
interesting! if they did it today i suspect the designs might be too "out there" for most people. 🤣
Very enjoyable and inspiring, too! I agree with the earlier comments that I wouldn't be wearing any of the total looks but I do see pieces I like - also agree that the colors seemed a little drab and like it was still winter...
i agree but i assumed that it was a metro area thing. not that fashion people in cities don't wear color but as a general rule maybe they are more toned down. just a guess.
This is such a great video! Loved it❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Love the fun concept of this video! I think I am not a "street style" girl LOL - I like some of the individual pieces but I don't think any of the full outfits are "me". But I love the video regardless! It sparks inspiration.
i feel exactly the same! for me i probably wouldn't copy an entire outfit but i like seeing how they are put together and i can find inspiration on pieces i might not have thought of but would style in my own way. like the article made me start thinking that i might like to add a bomber jacket for example.
Love this kind of review!
thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for putting this together. I have come to the conclusion that I will not be rocking what Vogue thinks of as Urban Chic and I am OK with it.😂 I think Outfit 8 would be the only one I would try
a lot of it is not to my taste either. but i like looking at articles like this because i can usually find pieces that i would wear and style in my own way, not necessarily theirs.
Interesting ideas for this spring. I recently bought the trench coat pattern and will eventually get it done. Often projects grind to a snail's pace because its more difficult to find the right fabric in natural fibers and also to save up for the projects. Hence projects aren't as many as I would like to do.
To be honest this year, I can get on board with flat marry janes or the 1.5" version of mary janes. The toe cleavage thing is starting to die the death it needs to.
A few of the light coats had one from Daughter Judy come to mind. I would line my version.
i bought 2 pairs of mary janes in navy and black and i'm really enjoying them. it's a nice change-up from my usual boots or sneakers.
@@knottygnome my plan is to buy a black leather pair with a 1.5" heel and a red leather pair with a 1/4" heel. Both have double straps across but done differently than straight across. I usually wear Naturalizer which is so comfy and I can walk all day in my 3" block heeled pumps. A while back I discovered leather cushioned insoles that are thin. Game changer! There is a version for sandals and it stops the foot from sliding when wearing pantyhose in heels.
The ones you got sound really neat.
Very interesting video to watch, but « Urban Chic » is definitely not my style! 🤣 I do love this kind of video though so keep them coming! 💞
What I like about street style vs. the runway is that at least some of it is wearable. The runway is just so out there often...
i agree but so much of the time i can get inspiration from just one piece or a color combo or something. i still think it's fun to look even if i don't want to fully copy an outfit.
absolutely agree!
Such dull colors. I've heard them referred to as depression colors. Thx 4 ur work. I see 2 patterns I'd lie 2 try!. Ciao
i'm so glad you found the video useful! thanks for watching.
What do you personally think of 2024 Spring style?
well in regard to the article i thought it was strange b/c most of the looks were more wintery in my opinion than spring appropriate. i wouldn't wear any of the looks from the article but there were individual pieces that i could appreciate. as far as general spring 2024 fashion trends there are a lot that i didn't cover that i am very much not crazy about. capri pants for one.
