You are right about cuffs!!! Fun try on. But you have better style than Pinterest daily.

I liked the last outfit best, the shorts and button down outfit was a close second. Love your haircut, it so suits you and is quite flattering.

A vest is such a substantial yet light and interesting piece.

I think that the vest looked good and that the shorter length white skirt is more flattering on you than a maxi would be.
Any kind of cuffs on jeans isn't to my liking. Reminds me too much of the 70s and living with my father and his family. I went around with big and baggy clothes and the rolled up cuff because the adults were too lazy to hem them. Went back to proper fitting pants with my mother. I still have high water pants nightmares from childhood. However you do you as you are the expert on you.
The rest I think you did well with your own version of the inspiration photos.
After turning 45, I lost a lot of weight and dove into having fun with my clothes and not caring what others have to say. I've always been a rectangular figure and while some experts wouldn't approve of my choices, I know that it looks flattering on me and gives the illusion of having some curves. Fitted blouses and slacks or straight fit pants/jeans suit me.

yeah, i've never been big on cuffed jeans either. i don't really like the look tbh.

Loved this video!! I actually really liked the cuffed jeans and tank outfit. I heard a stylist say cut-off pants don’t make your legs shorter because it gives the illusion you’re too tall for your pants or that basically, you’re so tall, your pants are too short. Or something like that 🤣 And i have to say, you didn’t look like you had short legs in that outfit.

that's interesting. i wonder if i feel short because i already know i am short LOL. good to know it doesn't necessarily appear that way to others.

#1 is my favorite of all and the shorter skirt suits you much better than a maxi would IMO.

I honestly liked the 4th outfit the absolute most and decided that before you added your critiques! 😧😻 That halter top is so cute/stylish, and you wear it so well!! 😍 Being that this unique/chic style has been made with your top notch sewing skills, I seriously bet that no one would ever question you if you tested them by saying it is from a quality, high-end designer, and I can honestly say this about any of your “designer-esque” style makes because your sewing/fitting skills and fabric choices are so good!!👌👏 Cuffed or un-cuffed, I really think the straight leg jeans and belt look great with the top (I bet it would look great with the navy shorts and so many other bottoms too!). And I think that outfit would work well with so many styles of shoes because you have already created a contrasting juxtaposition with your garments. I know it can feel more comfortable to resort to pairings that “balance us out”, but in recent years I personally have been making a conscious effort to play with silhouette proportions in new ways because I think ideas like the “need to always create balance”and “aim to look like an hourglass shape” are two of the many other outdated, conformist “fashion rules” that need to be removed as the default and demoted to a guideline that is used in ways that enhance our creativity rather than allowing it to keep us in a box. Now I love to play with “unbalanced” proportions and highlight or exaggerate in “unconventional” ways! 😊 Show off those strong arms and shoulders- a halter neckline looks fabulous on you!! 😻 At the end of the day, it is of course more important to listen to your own opinion, preferences, comfort level, and what makes you happy, rather than my opinion or the opinions of others (hence, *personal* style)….However, we should also be careful not to let our own mind keep ourselves in a box, because change will always feel uncomfortable at first, but good changes will always feel great if we give it time. Anyways, I just needed to share my enthusiasm and compliments, and you can do with them what you will! ☺️❤️

I like the dress and outfit one the best. I love this video. It’s still very inspiring from a sewing standpoint, and I love that you are showcasing clothes already in your closet. ✂️❤️✂️❤️

This is a great video! It was so fun to see the inspiration you found and how you used pieces in your closet to recreate them. I really liked the Tula shorts and Cameron shirt combination. You’ve inspired me to try a white dress with olive sandals!

I loved all the outfits! ...including the tank with the cuffed jeans! The photos you shared didn't necessarily show what you were feeling about it (the angled shot maybe showed it a little), but I thought that outfit made you look really fit/athletic, and the proportions looked good. Ultimately, it's what you feel comfortable in, and I could totally see that tank with some palazzo/wide leg pants.
Love this type of video. I need to try some of this to start to find/refine my style!
    Great video as always!

I do have a white maxi skirt and I've been wanting to do the whole white dress thing. I also have a simple, quick vest pattern that I'm tweaking. You always, always inspire me with these videos! I love the way you make them your own. I need to do some Pinteresting!

I really liked your choice of outfits, except the cuffed jeans. Perhaps if they'd been more cropped or even 7/8th length it would have been a better look - if you feel comfortable wearing that look. The halter top was lovely though!
