Hey Jeremy, I absolutely adore your channel I think you bring some depth to any review you make and although sometimes I disagree with some reviews this one surpassed all of them. This movie doesn't measure up to the original and we all knew it wouldn't even come close just as soon as the movie was announced, but even after saying that I think this movie doesn't try to be the original, this movie doesn't even come close to having the characters the original has. The thing is the goal of the movie was never that. This movie made the original plot of the movie refreshing, original and in it's own way completely unique. This movie has some issues, but I left out of this movie feeling completely happy and relieved the way the movie was made. I hadn't seen the original movie in years and I'm glad I hadn't, I saw this movie by remembering the original movie as a faded dream that became a masterpiece and this movie served honour to it. The movie has trouble with the cgi, the character of Aladdin, the casting of Jaffar, but still this movie is a masterpiece and I enjoyed way more than most remakes. Props to everyone that worked in this movie and hopefully the new remakes will be at least half as good as this movie was.

I usually don’t say this but Jermey you are wrong on this one. This was a really good movie.
It's no good movie. It's utterly underwhelming. The original is better.
aj pat your comment is so vague . Obviously the original is better. That’s not what I said. I said this was a really good movie
@@Vincee3 This was no vague comment. It's direct to the point. The original Aladdin is better. The live-action Aladdin is not a good movie. It's just an underwhelming and bland movie.
It just got hit with the mistake Hollywood keeps making. Instead of making an inspired movie with its own title, they use a known title to generate buzz and ticket sales, but don't make it better than the original so people trash it. Dragonball Evolution as a generic sci-fi teen movie was alright, but by trying to make it a Dragonball movie it ended up being trash.
How can he be wrong about his opinion?
I didn't think I would, but I really enjoyed this film. Tons of effort by everyone involved and it kept most of the charm and fun the original had. 4 out of 5 ⭐
In short, just watch the original 1990s Aladdin..you'll save yourself both money and time

“But I guess he just forgot” so I guess that means D&D worked on writing Aladdin too then?

THat joke doesn't even make sense.
Jafar forgot about his staff, but his staff certainly hadn't forgot about him.

It comes down to different view points reviewers go into movies looking for story structure and artistic qualities while your average movie goer is just in it for for entertainment. For example, as a film, Venom was trash, but for the average viewer it was a fun time. Average movie goers care about fun movies, not good movies, in their minds, a fun movie is a good movie.
I'd love to see a prequel to Aladdin that explains how the Genie became one or at least how his lamp ended up in the Cave of Wonders.
I do believe there is a prequel in the works! It’s gonna be called Genie

Rewatched the original few days ago. Still perfect. Had me smiling the whole time.
Dr Tad Winslow me too bruh , I think the magic was way better in the animated movie(1992) and it made me fall in love with every character be it a villain or hero... I love will smith but he just didn’t pull it off for me as a genie
Will smith was a perfect genie and I thought the speed up slow down thing actually made it really entertaining

I liked the movie. It was fun hearing the kids in the theater giggle. Not perfect, but worth using one of my 12 AMC stubs of the month.
Your cave of wonders voice is exactly like Noob Saibots voice in MX11.
I half expected Noob in that game to say "Next time, Gadget"
Fuck MK11. Bring back the titties
Haha
@KeoneArt I agree. Nerds and many gamers are laughable because of how much time they spend in a fictional world so they need titties in-game instead of going outside.
KeoneArt
While I don't like people complaining about MK11 either, you sound creepily sexist/gamer yourself talking about women like that. :p
We really do not need these live action remakes. Would love to see a return to more original storytelling from the House of Mouse!
They already confirm a Mulan live action.
Sadly they make bank in China. Our preferences don’t matter anymore
If by "Original" you mean taking other peoples works, buying the rights to that work then animating it or live actioning it, then sure? I guess. Disney isn't the beacon of "Original" storytelling.
Why would they do that. They already own your childhood. That's all they are going to do to make money
I never watched the animated Aladdin so... No expectations
"Genie how long on them sausages?"
"2 minutes Al."
"Genie it was 2 minutes, 5 minutes ago."
"And a Genie reaction, is quite a fuckin thing".
"Ya like Ginies?" "Oh, Genies.... yeah I like Genies".
I actually loved live-action. It was fun to watch but i really dissapointed to see Iago as an ordinary parrot.
It's longer than the animated movie, but it feels as though they rushed some parts?
That's an interesting combination.

Unbound Broly The Silly Saiyan of Pudding; The beginning of the film seemed a bit rushed, sorry to say...
@@eugeneketaminekrebs3403 it was I agree. BUT the song introduced all the needed stuff if you followed the lyrics and the image (a little in the fashion of the Greatest Showman) so, although it was not perfect, it is not enough to say the movie is really bad.
Raphael Mateus Martins; In my opinion, it wasn’t. I liked it and thought it was worth my $11. Then again, I didn’t have low expectations despite it being live-action, manly due to Will Smith as the genie.
@@eugeneketaminekrebs3403 if you understand my comment I said it is not a bad movie. I loved it, smiled a lot throughout the movie. I personally like Naomi, am happy she starred in a movie to bring up her name after the bad reviews of power rangers. The movie although not perfect, was great, always a good time to go back and have some nostalgia with these movie remakes. And... I will always drop the 15$ to watch movies in IMAX, it just makes the experience better and makes up for most imperfections in the movie. Honestly anyone watching in IMAX can hate on a lot of things but 3D and sound are great and that alone makes the movie worth it!
Froze Cave of Wonders 🤣😂👍🏼 Looking forward to your brightburn review!
Brightburn is really gory, but in a cool way, I loved it!
@@chicopico468 i thought it was horrible, no story, no character development. I guess it was just meant to satisfy fan service.
The aldain movie was amazing in my OPINION the story was entertaining the music was excellent
...did you listen to the music? It was flat all around. The only decent singer was Jasmine.
Yea DIsney relies on dopes like you to keep their monopoly going.
Dat auto tune. Pop listener so easy to show you a penny and have you follow it.
Tyler Outland Facepalmed at the addition of Jasmine becoming Sultan. Ever notice whenever Disney imperialists wants to convey Feminism or PC they only do that in foreign settings? Mulan originally was about heroism familial love and service but *DISNEY TWISTED IT INTO “HURR DURR CHINSESE PPL ARE SO BACKWARDS CUZ MISOGYNY”* Even Chinese women said Mulan acts so white, she feels like a white woman puppetting a Chinese girl to drive an agenda. same here in 2019 Aladdin. Women never being sultan was never supposed to be an issue in a story set somewhere in fantasy Arabia. (Funny tho, the original Aladdin story was an Arab story set in their fantasy of China)
And in Star Wars the PC quota is never shouldered by white actors. Despite being far fewer in number than white actors, all the minorities have to shoulder PC: Lando is now Pansexual, Chirrut might be gay, Rose is fat and is shoehorned there to take off the burden of interracial relationship burdens from Rey (rly, casting a randumb low-budget minor actress from Collegehumor with ZERO experience in film show how little they cared and how much of a throwaway scapegoat she is)

So basically it's a pale imitation of the original. Got it.

I was surprisingly pleased with this live action movie. I loved the new songs, and happy with Jasmine getting more screen time and acknowledgement as a character versus just a side love interest to Aladdin. I was a bit annoyed with Aladdin's flat ironed bangs. I loved Will Smith as himself a bit more than when he was in blue face. Again, I wasn't feeling this movie going in, cuz I thought it would bomb. What I told you to be creative and do it on the spot. Disney might be working on something that takes a really long time and people something to watch because if you watch the same over and over again it gets boring. Plus kids love these movie and will remember them growing up
