Do you even remember the first videos in which Stacey barely said a word...and now, she is the Oprah of this show! Love the story line! Let it never ends....pls, pls, plsss!
You guys matched. And noooo to the season being almost over! (Although I'm sure you will continue doing something, still sad to see it end.) Pretty nifty cave on the beach! Loved the jellyfish mural on the wall in Lyttleton! Gorgeous!!
Great vlogs from my home town, thank you for showing Christchurch at its best. Many people fly direct to Queenstown thinking Ch Ch isn’t a destination, it’s a beautiful city after all it’s been through since the quakes. Happy Travels. 💜
11:41 That pizza looks divine... ♥ Simple, rustic pizza FTW... ☺ 15:11 If Stacey was cold, maybe she should have gone for the winter warming "Dark Lava Stout"... Stouts & dark ales are ideal in cooler weather, plus a good one is served above 4ºC meaning your hands aren't as cold... ☺
Don't worry, the last episode of Reveal NZ S2 just went live last night but we've got plenty more exciting adventures in the pipeline! Sending love right back at ya 😊
I went a little out of order… but that a big ole tick (tuck) on season two! Thanks again tor all the helpful tips… can’t tell you how much this has helped me put together an itinerary for my trip. Cheers to y’all! ⚡️⚡️
Thank you so much! We love seeing your amazing comments come through week after week, we really appreciate it! Sending love and hugs back to the Netherlanads 😊
Sumner is the spot..my home!!! Best place in chch ....the cliffs you were walking fell during the quakes so the track has been " closed" since but been repaired where possible...the endless sunrise is part of our nor west weather...super pretty... Glad you guys enjoyed the best bits of chch
Really enjoyed all of this video. Lyttelton also has an AMAZING farmers market, definitely a destination if visiting. Lovely to see a brewery there now! Thanks guys, great video, as always ;-)
Always a pleasure watching you guys. You're the best at what you do. By the way ,Dane are you a flyers fan. I noticed you wearing the cap of a hockey team the Philadelphia Flyers. I'm big fan of the team.
Ha! I grew up in chch. Haven’t lived there in years. I had a troubled youth. I was incarcerated in Addington prison for some time. 1990 I think. It was cold and stark with lots of lost and troubled men. That stint put me straight and I’ve never looked back. I had totally forgotten about that part of my life until I came across this. That’s all. All the best.
Godley head is my happy place. I often head up there with the fam, but tend to drive to the car park at the top and do the loop around the gun placements, get to see both the banks peninsular and pegasus bay on that route. Turn left at about 10.09 and follow through to the carpark. Great for little uns, my 4 year old will do most of the walk before she gets tired and ends up on my shoulders! Only just discovered your channel, looks like I might need to have a binge! Cheers
Stacey flips her hood back enthusiastically because of the wind😂 Stacey I think we might be pizza BFF'S(and craft beer)! I'm pretty sure you're right, leaving pizza behind is illegal! Sad another series is coming to an end, one left! Still voting for Fiji, also Happy Winter! Great video as always! Safe travels, cheers!
This makes me so sad! The road trip is nearly over and honestly I’m going to miss it so much! Excited to see the video from the prison though! I saw the Instagram posts 😂😂 also just want to say the video shots are beautiful!!
6.47 Dane: "If you do the full loop, I think it comes back here as well" 🤣 What other types of loops do you guys have in New Zealand 😉 (I'm joshin' with you guys ❤️) I adored the ship bar at the pizzeria. Sad that this series is coming to and end but very curious to know what's next!
wondering if you might do a video on how you've had to pivot over the past 16 months...the frustrations, the things you've learned, how you've managed? where you want to go first when you can?
@@DaneAndStacey maybe it's just me but I watch literally anything if it involves new zealand... simple trip to grab a mince and cheese pie.. doesn't bother me. I'm watching 🤣🤣
Wow I never knew there were so many things to see and do in Christchurch! That pizza did look epic. You guys always make me hungry LOL. Sad this Season 2 is coming to an end, but at the same time I am eagerly waiting for you to announce a trip with an international destination! 😎
Cave rock at Sumner is nice to climb over as well as walk through and can be quite exciting for littlies when the tide has left pools of water in it and the wee rock near it is safe is for bigger kids to climb. Taylors Mistake is known as Te Onepoto in Māori, which means the short or little one. It's a good surfing spot, and although it's quite sheltered from the winds it's usually too rough for swimming and is often invaded by jelly fish. Very interesting to learn l have been wrong about the origins of the name Taylors Mistake. On early European maps Banks Penninsula is marked as Banks lsland and I had always assumed that, as the European cartographers had thought the Penninsula was an island, the name Taylors Mistake referred back to a belief that was were the gap was. As Banks was the naturalist and botanist, l assumed Taylor must have been a cartographer. Hearing your take on it, l googled it and discovered that according to Nicole Ellwood, not one, not two but, THREE Taylors got it wrong! 😁 "An interesting piece of history and a remarkable set of coincidences I thought I would share with you. Not only one but THREE Captain Taylors are thought to have mistaken this beach for the Lyttelton Harbour entrance and ran aground here, all within the short space of 9 years. 1. In 1853 Captain Davidson on a barge named the Gwalior was sailing to Lyttelton, however suffering from Delirium Tremens (due to sudden alcohol withdrawal) he threw him self overboard, and control was passed to Chief Officer Taylor who is thought to have ran aground on the beach. 2. ln 1858, Captain Taylor, no relation to the mate on the Gwalior, made the exact same mistake and wrecked his vessel the Volga. 3. Even more astonishing, yet another Captain Taylor on 1864 repeated the same mistake in the American schooner Catherine. Perhaps anyone with the name Taylor should avoid the area...!
Funnily enough, the rock on the beach (with the cave) at Sumner, is called Cave Rock. Sumner Beach is where the Coast to Coast race finishes.
Not any more, it’s finished at new Brighton beach for the last 4-5 years
@@jerrybow8779 Oh wow. Did not know that. Have often thought of rocking down to Sumner to see the end. That would have been disappointing.
Wow, what an original name 😂😋

Love your channel, I live just down the road from the Jailhouse Accommodation. My Dad was a Prison Officer and worked there when I was a kid.

Great Episode guys. Lyttleton was pretty cool. In 1995 Peter Jackson was filming scenes for The Frighteners Movie there.
Thanks so much!
Loved this guys! Great places you went too. We actually hit up lyttelton more than chch when dining haha
The most important question of all... have you had the pizza from Arbour yet?
Sumner looks a lot like parts of Cornwall, UK. From the rocks and coast, to the sporadic palm trees, and even the architecture to some extent.
Some of the batches are built into caves behind.

Lovely. And the music is so beautiful as well. Would you consider putting up a Spotify playlist of some of the music you use?
Ohh that's a great idea, definitely something we'll think about - will keep you posted :)

Lyttelton is always freezing when I visit 😂 all the old timey ghosts make it cold

“Chairs from your Nan” - is definitely going to be used by us !!!!
LOL I wonder what your chairs will look like when you ( D & S) are that age....
