Can you do one for roof costs for residential roofs? Profit loss / upgrades/ actual cost / estimate and supplier costs for each part of major manufacturing system? Just curious if it can pull info from data off an insurance claim and apply it with other known costs. Apply other knows such as gutters, fence , labor for each and get the profit margin etc. If so I’d love to see how this works.

Kevin, Thank You for Being an Incredible Teacher!
Kevin, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all your amazing Excel tutorials! I used to feel like a complete beginner, but after watching your videos, I’ve made so many improvements in my work. You break everything down so clearly, and your teaching style has made complex topics much easier to understand. I'm so much more confident with Excel now, and I can't tell you how much it’s helped me become more efficient. I truly respect you as my teacher, and I’m grateful for everything you've taught me. Keep up the great work - you've made a huge difference for me!
    Thank you again,

This is online only. One is submitting data to basically an unknown entity, with no way of knowing if they are retransmitting the data somewhere for processing.
And there’s no guarantee of data protection other than they state they won’t use the data.
This may be fine uploading kids team stats *WITHOUT* personal identifiers, addresses, phone numbers - but corporate data, or personal data that contains family financial information…. Well, PT Barnum said, “There’s a sucker born every minute.”

I uploaded my product based sales data for a few months and did some analysis and it was REALLY awesome. We’re not Walmart or something so I can’t imagine how that info would be of any use to anyone but me. So for me at least the trade off is completely worth it. And I don’t really feel like my info is in any way at risk anyway

Most of this can be achieved in Airtable. With one huge advantage: Airtable is a database. Spreadsheets are not databases, meaning that you can play around with data but no ability to build an scalable system out of it.

This is cool. As an analyst for the last 30 years, I can see how this will change work. I'm curious about the context around Location City and State. Why does the A.I. pick 'Oregon' for Portland assignment instead of Maine?
It will be interesting to see if the A.I. picked 'Oregon' because of the presence of other West Coast cities in the data.

I couldn't tell from the company's website, but I assume any data I enter into this app is stored on the Bricks company cloud.
If so, what is the privacy policy and security measures taken to protect our data. I'm not sure businesses and users will be excited about putting financial and other sensitive data into this product depending on the answers to those questions.

Interesting but the goal of KCC is to maximize profits, so more useful to management are the statistically significant inferences to be drawn from available data beyond the spread sheet per se. For instance, AI might suggest that there is a relationship between monthly weather or seasonal climate and the varieties of cookies preferred by buyers. Thus chocolate chip will be favored in the upper planes states in cold months but not in Fla. during spring and summer, when almond cookies sell well. NOAA says that CA will be wet next month and, in the past, that's when lemon creams have sold well but sugar cookies age on the shelves. Shelf space is limited so these data are marketable to grocers.

How did the AI know to use Oregon and nor Maine for the Portland state?

My guess - when ambiguous, AI defaults to the Portland more frequently mentioned or widely known in global datasets, which often turns out to be Portland, Oregon.

There is a town called Portland in at least two other states. There are probably other Portlands as well.

Had a little play with the dummy data provided by Bricks and found an issue - I couldn't find a way of changing the date format to ddmmyyyy - there is an option in a menu but that didn't apply to all - I am assuming this must be possible but it wasn't immediately obvious and when I did try the option of changing the cells, it didn't work. I assume I must be doing something wrong with this!

To the left of the column name, you should see an icon to change the data type of the column. In that menu, hover over date and then select DD/MM/YYYY. I just tested and it works on my end. Let me know if you're still running into issues.

Do you have any ideas of how a teacher could use this AI spreadsheet to keep a gradebook?
