    Thanks for another great video, and congratulations on the new lathe. I like how you "roughed up" the ring with 1,200 grit sand paper. 😊 Fantastic look to the finished ring.

    That is really awesome, I machine a lot of titanium, but nothing like that. I think I may try this some day. Subscribed!

    Nice brother, liking your channel, I do woodworking but I enjoy metalworking and plan on getting a small lathe in time, I like the process of making rings, I did make a ring before from a old coin, got it on my channel, that was the first one I made. Am still new to this so everyday is a school day, always learning lol, keep it up.

    Awesome ring mate. Have to ever turned a ring on the lathe from a block of wood or do you only do bentwood rings?
    Your lathe appears to have the ability to cut threads using those two levers in front. Try cutting a wide type thread in a wooden ring and then wrapping wire into the continuous groove.
    Helix Ring :)

    Very cool. I'm thinking of venturing into this & I wanted to ask; what if you wanted a black ring?

    • @ZebranoWoodCraft
      @ZebranoWoodCraft  Рік тому

      You can get black titanium from Ringsupplies.com. When you heat anodise it it turns black 👍🏽

    Which hammer does you used for the titanium?

    what is the liquid you dipped the ring in to anodize?

      I think it's ionised water and baking soda...

    Hi did you use a silver fork?

  • @moorejl57

    Does the hammering change the size of the ring or is too thiccc to stretch?

  • @chrishanson8972

    What did you put in your tailstock when you parted off the ring?

    • @ZebranoWoodCraft
      @ZebranoWoodCraft  2 роки тому

      That’s just a thin metal bar to catch the ring when it’s parted off. Can’t remember where it’s from, it’s just been floating around the shop for a while.

    You have all this expensive equipment for making the ring, and you spent 9 bucks at the store for your anodizing setup lol. Dude, just buy a power supply and make a proper setup. It will probably be the least expensive thing in your shop and will work a thousand times better.
