I was told yrs ago....from a veteran yrs ..and flag etiquette..if flying a USA flag at night it must be illuminated.....so I mounted a fog light on my trunk....
Okay but can I enter in a NON political question? I'm in Ohio but I have a flag pole on the hitch of my jeep. Flag is approx 3high×5long. Is it legal? Can I at least keep my pole on my jeep without the flag? I can't imaging just the pole should be any bother. Just a flag, nothing like the American flag or a trump or biden flag. It's just decoration for my vehicle. I mean there's a car around here covered in trolls, zombie apocalypse vehicles..etc. I can't imagine a simple pole would be a bother.
4 U.S. Code § 8 (e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way. Driving down the road at 50 mph or more with a flag on your pickup truck shreds the flag.. It is not a proper way to display the flag
and that's one of the reasons why our country is falling apart. there are certain traditions that should be followed for good etiquette. ive also read the flag code and it says that if it flown on a vehicle it must be attached to the front right bumper. 🤔
Yeah that depends on the quality! I'm about to put a 3' x 5' behind the Driver side rear window, using the Tacoma rails!!!! Keep it from going over the top of the cab!!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
on the back of my truck i want a tall wood pole on back the Oregon flag just under the Anarchy flag on an Army green 3/4 ton 4x4 truck oh i can see the reaction and Oregon is a blue state sure imagine the looks and thoughts!
For all you fake patriots out there. Here is the FEDERAL CODE concerning flags on vehicles. §7. Position and manner of display The flag, when carried in a procession with another flag or flags, should be either on the marching right; that is, the flag's own right, or, if there is a line of other flags, in front of the center of that line. (a) The flag should not be displayed on a float in a parade except from a staff, or as provided in subsection (i) of this section. (b) The flag should not be draped over the hood, top, sides, or back of a vehicle or of a railroad train or a boat. When the flag is displayed on a motorcar, the staff shall be fixed firmly to the chassis or clamped to the right fender.
So... if an object protruding beyond 4' from the back of my vehicle... requires a FLAG to mark it... Do I need to put a FLAG ON MY FLAG?

Obstructing the break light or blinker?
Most likely both, you get pulled over(fix it) for either so I would say both.
Blinker 👍
You do know that the us has the most laws than any other countries
China has more. They also have deliberately conflicting laws so they can arrest any subject they want "legally".
Hell yeah. I'm flying my Merican flag 🔥

How much does it lower your gas mileage?
Depends on the flag, material, pole, where it's mounted, weather and alot of other things
Only American Flags. If LED lights are legal why the F not.
Those lights be blinding you even on low beam
Are you slow?
That's why I flip my high beams on at them@@pirategaming7316
I’ll fly whatever flag I want.

It really depends the quality of the flag though.

Why do people think they're respecting the flag when they're flying it in a way that gets it all torn up and dirty like that?
Any flag flying outdoors will get torn up and dirty....
What a retarded comment.
@@Wingman813that’s true but also road grime and 70mph down the road and a naturally weathered flag are pretty different
Guess we shouldn't fly any flags. Wouldn't want the elements ruining it.
We buy a new one, and properly dispose of a well-flown flag.
