I have the 10 And the 20. I also have the Champion 40. Go with the 40. The 40 sounds like a real full size amp. It is worth the extra cash (about$250).

you should set both eq in the same level, champion 20 clean tone is much brighter and sounds bad because you set bass on level 3, frontmand bass is on level 6 -> thicker sound and not reflect the sound quality
It's not even a debate...i started play fall 2019 early 2020...i had limited budget so i decided to buy a little better amateur guitar so i got an ltd ec 256 and so i wasnt able to buy anything else than forntman 10... it's total SHIIIIT. This can't even called distortion... totally crap, chug is like melted banana.... before some days a friend started play guitar, he bought a cheap Jackson les paul style along with champion 20.....he have real distortion, maybe it's basic but you can say that is "distortion" for real, it's clear and punchy with a guitar half the price of mine...fx also ate delicious. There is no debate between these two....10 g should not exist.
OMG! That's not only a little bit different! I'd tell the Beginner to shell out the additional $20 for the Champ 20! Great Comparison mate, as I was contemplating exactly this. Thank You! I'm assuming you can use these on electric drums, keyboards, and synthesizers as well?
Thank you :)! Technically these should work with other instruments but the sound may not be quite as accurate as you’d hope. Those instruments usually work better with amps designed for full-range sound, like a keyboard amp or something similar. That said, if you're just jamming or experimenting, it should work fine :)
Because if you don't know much videos like this will help you stay away from the frontman series. It might be obvious to anyone with a little experience but to a total beginner it helps. In short, get the champ without hesitation and stay away from anything that says frontman.

I have a Frontman 10G but I put my POD in front of it and though it looks very inconspicuous its ridiculously versatile.

When I bought my 10g I thought:
WOW THIS SOUNDS EPIC
Then I watched this and now
THIS AMP IS TRASH
It's weird because the Champion 10 is cheaper but not much cheaper, thanks for helping me make up my mind!

You're right, it's a pretty old video though :)! Both are portable, but the 10G is definitely lighter and more compact

Why didnt you demo the champion 20s voicings? Theres more than just clean and high gain.
I've heard the other Champion voicings. They all sound like progressively worse gain settings.
How does the Champion 20 compare to the old Mustang I amps ? Are they basically the same amp?

There is a Frontman 20G that would have been a bit better for comparison.
Both sound bad on high gain. But the Champion 20 is infinitely more versatile.
