I've had my 50 for about 3 weeks now and I never noticed the 8th/16th option on the tap until I saw it on the screen. I had to go check mine :) Glad these are FINALLY getting some advertising!
My friend has the 25 and it rocks!!! We both can't believe the great tone and effects. So EASY to dial up delay/ reverb etc. And can get some Od crunch out! We just jam in garage but this little amp is great!!!
I only use the clean side of my Champion amp with pedals. The cleans sound great. No need for me to use the modeling side of the amp. The effects sound good as well if I do not want to use pedals. I plan on stepping up to a Princeton Tone Master soon. That really is the amp I should be using for my sound.
The only thing that needed to be improved on the Champions was the speakers. I have a Champion 100 that I put Celestion Seventy 80s in and it absolutely rips! Looking at the manual for these ones seems like they have actually given it a bit less variety with the amp models and just put more high gain stuff in. No flat jazz amp model anymore!
It definitely did not need more high gain voicings! Why do they keep listening to the Doom/Sludge heads, instead of going out and talking to people who actually play Fenders?
I bought a Champ II a few years ago because I heard a friend gigging with it. I was impressed and was looking forward to using it as my main amp. Unfortunately the DSP feature started crackling, popping, humming and being quite noisy. I asked a Fender tech about it and he said there was no fix other than replacing the entire guts of the amp, which would cost more than the cost of buying a new amp. The amp now sits in my studio as an unusable piece of junk. I found out that my friend plays through an older model Champ II. I’m using an older Frontman 25 now when gigging. My pedal array gives the boost I need to cut through the mix at most casual gigs. I won’t buy a new Fender amp again because they just aren’t built like the older amps. I’m thinking I’ll go with Vox if I buy a new amp.
But will it chug? Genuine question. My current champion 100 does not so I had to get a different amp for Metal. It's great for clean tones though. It just won't do drop tuned metal very well but I supposed that was not their target genre when designing it. :)
😂 that would definitely defeat the purpose of this amp. The amp you are looking for was discontinued, it was called the Fender frontman 212 and it has spring reverb and 3 channels 100 watts.
If you put a decent preamp pedal into the poweramps of these things - it actually sounds really good. All Champion's preamp's voicings are really harsh and thin. I think they do this to still sell real Twins 👀
You think they make these amps crappy so they can still sell twins? 🤦 You can't be serious right now. 🤷🤣 They'd sell twins if this Champion line of amps never existed. What are you even talking about?
Now you have to do Firmware updates. Also, there's no more Chorus/Reverb effect, or Tweed Champ and '65 Princeton amp voicings, which were the best ones on the Champion 20 and 40.
@@MreenalMams Yeah, I don't get it! They should've kept those, and got rid of two of the 'high gain' voices, if anything. And then it's not worth getting the 20 or 40 because they had issues that required people to go to a service dealer.
FENDER, Make a Rechargeable Battery USB tone master amplifiers to get those SRV 83 El MoCambo texas tones. They make Rechargeable Batteries that last 8hrs to 16hrs so you can play outside gigs. You can make a separate Fender rechargeable battery BANK that connects to the tone master amplifiers to power them up for 8hrs to 16hrs for outside gigs. Why doesn't fender do this?
Someone may not need all the bells and whistles of the Katana. If you already have a load of pedals or a multi fx unit not necessary to have an amp with all that stuff.
I have a spark and it’s a brilliant amp, more options on that, so compared to the 25 and probably even the 50, the spark is best. But the champion 100 is a great, affordable amp that is for the stage. My spark wasn’t loud enough for the stage

I have a champion 100 and dig it. It does what I need and that's enough. I'm sure the champion II is even cooler.
Absolutely agree,I’ve got the 100, perfect stage amp and great sound

Perfect for any player at any level

Now we need rumble 2 😁🙏
what are the differences between the champion I 100 and the champion II 100 amp??. what is the usb-c at the back for?
Would this be loud enough for a stage? High School Jazz band... about 50 total members with drums, trumpets, sax, etc....
I’ve always thought the original champion amp is the best budget / beginner amp.
Would you guys recommend these over an LT25 for a practice home amp

Sounds about right
How does the ii 50 compare to the 50xl?

I might get one of these for metal
Make sure to puck up a cheap distortion pedal. But yeah, it'll jam
@ can’t wait
Don't! These are not high gain amps. Don't waste your money.
@@markcaserta1367 wdym, friends of mine told me they’re good
I like these, have owned them in the past - they are pretty good.
Hell yeah 🤘
Those metal riffs sounded good! 🔥

Put the efx loop & foot switch jacks in the back please.
Make this but analog solid state. No digital anything.
😂 that would definitely defeat the purpose of this amp.

Im not 100% but think the channel 1 on the 100 is analog.
@@danielflintknappingthanks I’m hoping so. Love my broken Princeton 65 haha fender already has too many amp modeling amps
Waiting for John Frusciante video for sure 🎉 🎸
What I'm waiting for is an electric guitar version of what you did for the acoustasonic. Just plug the guitar into the PA and that's it.
whats that USB-C port for at the back..?
Updating presets

I want it
Fender should make the new fender player two series with the noiseless pickup cause it sounds better then the ordinary alnico 5 pickups
I will have to play one

Just reissue the Princeton Chorus... That's what everyone actually wants.
YES! Red knob
Unfortunately its still a hidden gem. Don't know if will get an update or reissue
Dang I miss mine. Don't know what you got till it's gone...
@@timowns2 It deserves it. They had it in production for 20 years, so it must have done well. We just need an update.
Fender give us a dual 6v6 tube power section like the Super Champ xd & x2 and you have a buyer here

Where's the next firmware update for the tmp?!!!
Hopefully it's coming soon
👍🏻
I just want pure tone no bell whistle...im still aiming for the JC40 or JC22...
This is me just me....
So you skipped the 40?
Figure out a way to make it compatible with Bluetooth headphones. I don’t care how just get on it Fender.
And a cheesy little amp
With a sign on the front said "Fender Champ"
Why would one get this instead of a boss katana? So much better option wise, tone wise and price wise.
