I personally enjoy thrifting. And watching thrifting/haul videos! Love how mindful you are when thrifting.
When thrifting would love to see “all the knick knacks and things” along with furniture please! 😊❤
For staging, I thrift baskets of greenery and clean them in warm water. I pull them apart and use as needed. I will count the bundles inside the baskets. I usually get three to four, much cheaper than hobby lobby or other home decor greenery.
I never thought about that! Flowers are sooo very expensive. And then you get $175 worth of flowers on someone's grave and a couple days later, poof! They're gone!
I think there's a special place in hell for people who steal from the cemetery.
I've seen greenery and flowers at yard sales too. Never even once thought to get some and rearrange them for the cemetery and I'm a very creative person. Not a great artist or anything, but I'm always looking at things to see what else could be done with them.

@@dechintaSadly a lot of cemeteries remove them after so many days. Or on mowing day. 😢
This cemetery doesn't, but sometimes the wind will take things off somewhere. But I can imagine why they would do that.

14:27 That is so right! Sometimes I will go and find all kinds of books (sell books on Ebay) or furniture or dog toys! Yay dog toys! And I will find TONS of things. And some days, I will hit several thrift stores, 3 library book stores and....nothing.
The only thing that is consistent in thrifting though is that when I have a friend who is not a "believer" in "old stuff" or "other people's junk" as they say, and I will convince them to go with me so I can show them the treasures that abound...on THAT day, there will NEVER be anything good and my friend will roll their eyes like "See?" LOL

I like seeing the stuff for staging you look at in the store and then the after reveal of what you bought.
At 12:26 when you walked into the last Goodwill there was a bench it look like it opened up, it looked like it was leather or fake leather but if I were you I would have bought it, go to a fabric store and buy some fake cowhide material and staple that on the top that would be so pretty. Anyone could put that at the end of their bed. And put blankets extra sheets or towels in it. And I'm sure that would be an easy sell in Kansas . I also liked the Blue vase that would have been cute to put some faux white poppies in it for staging. That older lamp in the first Goodwill was very cute.. yes it's always nice having you show us everything but it's disappointing when you pass nice things up😂😅🤣

I love that you show other things while thrifting. I’ve never been to a thrift store and had no idea what they had to offer. And I love seeing the things that you pick up first staging.
Omg you got to go!!..you’ll love it the treasure hunts are amazing!..look at the high end store like online pottery barn and crate and barrel..see what’s in style and go find similar items..a coat a paint on a find or add a birds nest to something for spring..its def thinking outside the box❤

The orange chairs looked like they may have been a chintz fabric. My MIL did a lot of sewing for a design firm and it looked like some things she did way back (maybe 80’s or 90’s).

It is enjoyable for us viewers to look at decor stuff while you’re thrifting. That little ceramic bird is adorable. You can probably add more colorful glass pieces to shelves that grandma organized so nicely. Thought you were going to add lights to those shelves to make glass standout.

First stop: Cute chairs! Love the basket!! Damask fabric? (silk like) I like this store! Prices not too bad......if you saw something, might negotiate? (the "Forever Store") Shorts are cute, don't get paint on them, lol!
I enjoy watching you thrift but would like to see the prices when you pick something up. It helps to know what other stores price their stuff for. Our furniture finds here in VA are not really good right now.

Polyester fabric. Thats what is used on furniture as it is a strong, durable fabric.

I like to see you pick furniture pieces out to flip because it kinda gives us an idea what’s trending. Plus, you are wonderful enough to explain why you decided to buy a certain piece. To me that is huge! Even though you left teaching, you are definitely still teaching the only difference is that your students (your subscribers) are a bit older than the average kindergartners lol! Thank you for what you and Neiman do. I have been with you since the beginning and I am SO proud of you both!! Much love kiddos ❤
We have a thrift store here in Idaho called Savers. Its amazing. They got a loyalty membership too. Its free. But when you buy things it gives you points. Those points add up to discounts. They also give you a 20% off coupon for donating. Doesnt matter the size. Could be 1 thing and you get a coupon! Then the other one is Idaho Youth Ranch. Goodwill here is junky. At least the local one.

Somedays Diamonds somedays stones...........just happens that way. I love the vases and containers for things t see it displayed on the furniture in the shop.
It gives an idea of what we might want to go with things and even if it doesn't sell it may remind them of things they have at home that they want to work on or maybe an old piece they could redo that would look perfect with a piece of decor. We just never know!

Too bad you don't live in Southwest Florida. Facebook market place people are giving furniture away for free or for cheap. I've had to pass up bedroom furniture, dining tables , chairs , and pretty much everything that I can't carry myself or fit in my Mazda. I just do small pieces.
It's mind blowing seeing those thrift prices. I got one gold chair for $10. At my salvation army. That's going to be my next flip. You ever want to come down with a truck and clean up .... Let me know. 😃

I used to live in Tampa and oh my gosh, I was blown away by the thrift stores and not only that, but year-round yard sales!
So many people move to Florida to retire and they just pack up all their belongings from their 4-bedroom home and bring it with them to fill their two-bedroom condo and it just gets donated to thrift stores or put out on the curb or yard sales.
I live near Naples Florida so a lot of the furniture is in perfect condition. I'm shocked at the prices and free stuff . @@dechinta

This may be a long one, but we have volunteers of America in Ohio that does 50% off on the last Tuesday of the month and I mark it on my calendar so I don’t do any appointments that day, trying to make a long story short, I saw this beautiful Ethan Allen table and chairs tons of leaves and protective covering, I thought it was $49.99 my vision must have been off because my heart started racing so hard I went straight to the cashier and I told somebody to protect that table. I want to buy it NOW, they went back and said it was $449 even though the half off of $249 I couldn’t do it, I was so bummed! Lol I get you I think they’re catching on, lol I hope your business does well because of this shit is pissing me off

I think good buys are sometimes only during different times of year.
