You are such a great teacher and explain everything you’re doing and why! The “why” is so important!!! You have totally inspired me to follow a dream to do this myself. Thank you!!!
Very cool! I did furniture flipping for a couple years! Then got pregnant and stopped. It is a physically demanding job with burn out. But flipping pieces on the side (casually) is not too difficult. I would even suggest it to older folks as long as you don’t suffer from any joint/bone issues. It can be a hobby that earns a bit of income❤
Love the split screen so we can see what you're doing while you're explaining something else. You explain very well and do an awesome job. Love your videos!
Great tips lady!!..I’m getting ready to paint my grandpas dresser when it warms up!..I need to invest in a prep sander too cool!!..and learning about the bondo from you gives me the confidence to tackle that..my hubby worked with bondo on his 67 mustang not wood bondo.. I was so excited to tell hubby about the wood bondo!..I’ve learned a lot by watching your channel..much respect for you and neiman!
Beautiful piece as always. I love how you are back to showing us numbers again. I hope the store is doing well in the early stages. I’m so proud of you.
I got 4 mcm chairs that a person put out to be thrown away. I redid them (several times) and they are still going strong 25 years later. This type of furniture is usually very sturdy (as well as trendy) and can withstand a lot of wear and tear.
@lkndear if you’re willing to pay double though… you should check out our IG page @fournirfurnitureco and check out our inventory and when you find something I come across that you like let’s get something commissioned for ya 🙌🏻✨
This piece turned out, absolutely beautiful! I love the combination of the dark navy blue and the wood tone. Blue is my favorite color so I am a little prejudiced there. But it is so pretty, great job. Your customer will be very happy. Take care, stay safe.
This is the first time I watch one of of your videos and after about 5 minutes in I had to pause and subscribe. I've learned so much in this 25 minutes. Wow 🤩🤩 The finished product, absolutely beautiful. 😍😍 I am so glad that this video landed up as a recommendation to watch. ✅️✅️✅️ 💓💓💓💓💓
Your videos are the most useful and practical guides on the net IMO so thank you bc I want to start doing this and I feel if I watch your videos I can learn from you. Where do you sell? I am in the UK. My husband is not supportive of my idea bc he says no one will buy, so I am trying to research that to see if I would have any buyers. TIA
When you do not take off your hourly rate off the gross amount along with your supplies, it does not reflect the true net profit. If you would take off your hourly rate times the actual hours you put into it your profit is not very much at all. You might want to disclose that because if you were paying employees to do the same thing you are doing you would have to either jack up your prices or have a much smaller profit. In other words you are working for free.
Ein haus am hang (hill). Please put drain tiles around the footings of the house to keep water away from the foundation. One big rainy season will do its damage to all your great work!
So after watching your videos I’m going to start flipping furniture this month!! I’m ready to be debt free and you have inspired me to take the risk and go for it!!
Thanks for explaining the dust extractor and Surf-prep, I always wondered. I have my sander with my shop-vac and that’s a pain to have to turn it off too. Thanks!!!👍🥰
How did you decide when and what tools to invest in? Did you start by buying things like the Surf Prep or your spray gun because you knew they would help you make money? Or did you start doing everything by hand and put your profits into tool purchases?
i definitely started investing in them cause I knew they would help make my projects more efficient thus helping up my profits each month! great question!
when you are calculating profits are you considering a wage for yourself? it would seem like a good reflection of actual "profit" if you don't calculate your hours
@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher I just really value my time spent not working, so when I personally try to guage whether something would be "worth it" to make money I like to guesstimate the hours spent. That's just personal preference though.
Love your content, Lauren! makes me feel lazy tho.... you're a beast. I'm all about the MCM look & when done wrong it can look like a Mel's diner & you've done this right. Keep it up!
Not sure why there’s complaints on the music. It’s quiet enough to where you can still hear what she’s saying while also filling in that weird silence in between steps. I do love how this piece turned out, this combo never misses.
It was the repartition, it sounded like a a gloomy (happy birthday to you) to me ,I could not hear anything else.but still a great fan of the show.xx.❤
I love this color combo. My only criticism would be to use a quality stain. I don’t know if it’s the camera, but that particular stain never seems to look as good as other reputable stains.
I’m curious what factors you include in “cost”. Do you factor in your time? Also, it’s important to acknowledge the potential cost to your health this kind of work can have, with frequent exposure to chemicals. I’m happy to see you wear a ventilator for sanding, but the chemicals are equally hazardous, so ventilation is very important. Keep in mind that chemical exposure is more of a concern for the female body, due to our sensitive hormonal system. Please take precautions.
Looks amazing, but my OCD is kicking in when I see you tape off the inside 3rd door with painters tape and didn't paint it blue. Your the pro haha it shows how good it goods. It's a me thing.
Just wondering in you factor in storage fees (before you got store), petrol costs of delivery/collecting and rent for shop lease. I have heard you say you have driven for a few hours to collect an item that you only paid $20 dollar for. The cost of petrol/gas must have made it a lot more expensive than $20.
great question! for these profits, I am just factoring in the piece and the materials used on this one piece 😀 I want it to be as relatable to others as possible to others who are interested! hope that makes sense!
I love it! Curious why the last couple of times you have been using your home right sprayer and not your Wagner flexio 5000? Reason I ask is that I want to get a new sprayer and not sure which one to buy. Thank you
I don't mind the music. Love that you are adding in the financial side. I like the split screens. Great editing
Awesome, thank you!
I would like to know the actual time spent on labor
This dresser is gorgeous, Lauren! Also, loved the cost/profit monthly breakdown. Great added feature. Thanks so much!
glad you enjoyed! (:

This piece is exquisite! Beautiful work, Lauren! Congratulations on your January profit. I hope for you, much, much more in 2024!
Love the dresser!! Love the paint color and the background music was fine lol.. absolutely did not distract from the talking!
Yay! Thank you!

I loved this one. You are already smashing it this year! Well done.
So amazing, nice work as usual Lauren! Great cost/ profit monthly breakdown $2,815 is 🔥
I have learned so much from you! I am so confident that I can do this! I am a retired kindergarten teacher ❤ Arkansas
Beautiful! I love the navy and wood look. You may have inspired me to tackle the two hand-me-down MCM dressers I have in my spare bedroom. :)
do it! you got this! 😃
This is a beautiful piece! Great job Lauren!!!
Thank you so much!

Gorgeous!
I can’t wait for you to do the one behind you now! It’s stunning - another great job Lauren! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💕
If you want to clean brass in about 30 seconds, no scrubbing, use liquid Bar Keepers Friend. It cleans amazingly fast!
I would have paid double for it to stay close to natural stain😢 While the end result was nice, I wish you did some more restoration style flips!
thanks for the input! that’s just not my style but still love keeping some wood when possible! just think, I still saved it from the landfill 😊
But you didn't buy it, she did. It's hers to do as she wants until someone buys it, Karen.
Let’s be nice now!

@@FurnitureFlippingTeacher very interested in a restoration flip video, how to.

Another beautiful piece! Well done!
I like how you tell us what you bought the pieces for and then tell us what materials cost and then what you sold it for.
I LOVE the navy blue and wood combo!
thank you!
OMG...That dresser is the Exact same one my parents had when I was a kid!! 1960s Vintage, dresser and me!

Looks amazing lauren love it❤❤
thank you!
Came out great!
Are you happy with that sprayer? I'm looking for a new one
Hi, love the piece, but the gel stain looks blotchy. Is this because of the gel stain?
Beautifully done ❤
Thanks for explaining the dust extractor and Surf-prep, I always wondered. I have my sander with my shop-vac and that’s a pain to have to turn it off too. Thanks!!!👍🥰
You bet! yes, while the shop vac will work okay, it doesnt have as much suction as the dust extractor 😀
How do we know when to use a furniture varnish stripper and when to just sand and proceed with painting?
Hi Lauren, I don’t see a link for the white work table. Is it the Husky from Home Depot?
Hi , love watching the channel. Would be curious to know how many hours spent on the projects?
Gorgeous!!!!! Love this piece. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🕊️✌️😀😃😄😁🤗🤗

it turned out beautifully!
Love this project. Good save!

the storage cabinets are definitely a work in progress! only part 1 is complete but gotta prioritize some flips in between (:

How do you know to price each piece?
those matching red chairs 💜
right! that was the first of that style I ever found and sold and they bought them to be props for wedding photos 😍😍
