As an RN, I also taught my daughters how to do cupping and clapping on her babies and young children when they're sick. Maybe you should do a video on that and other things to help your children when they get sick.

@@md.mazharulislamtuhin6511 Md.Mazharul Islam Tuhin Plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids (keep hydrated) - a friend of mine who also had it told me to drink hot water mixed with a tsp (or was it Tbsp?) of apple cider vinegar, just hot enough that I can tolerate. I also drink pineapple juice, not from concentrate, at the first sign of a cough. I make sure I eat when I can, move around in my room, take paracetamol to bring down the fever, and do this breathing exercise. I sleep on my side instead of on my back. A doctor friend of mine suggested putting a few drops of tea tree oil in a humidifier as tea tree oil is antibacterial, and I have been doing that, too.

@@Meowminx Day 80, severe case - awful pleuritic pain, drinking apple cider vinegar through the day for years. Never get sick, but I'm a nurse and this virus was made very crazy and evil, a different thing all together. Rest is hard when you can't breath well, your heart rate goes up since you developed inflammatory storm after the virus,....battling through, and finally negative after 11 weeks. Tea tree oil is awesome but for the diffuser, with lung issues, bergamot, as well as peppermint, and frankincense are awesome too, for the alveoli! Praying you are well. I'll need physical therapy soon.

I caught covid a few weeks ago. The doctor came in, told me I had it and walked out. No treatment suggestion or anything. I went for weeks out of work feeling terrible. A few days ago I went to a tiny clinic and the nice practitioner nurse gave me amoxicillin and prednisone. She said, " You're not getting better because it's in your lungs."
It's odd, I had an itchy minor congested throat but didn't know my lungs apparently is where it's centered....but it's been 3 days of treatment now and I AM doing better.
And I just did this breathing thing and my lungs are trying to kick stuff out. Open up your lungs. Good advice!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. It’s 5am and I’ve been trying to sleep for 7 hours now, couldn’t fall asleep because my shortness of breath combined with the congestion that comes with the virus barely let me even breathe. I was getting increasingly scared which most likely would’ve ended up with me hyper ventilating and making things worse for myself. You might’ve just saved my life. Thank you Doctor, THANK YOU. Also, should I simply try to sleep on my belly the whole time I’m sleeping period? I usually prefer to sleep on my backside but I’ll do what I have to do as long as it’s what is good for me.

TG Gooms I’m feeling a lot better, make sure she does the breathing exercise that the doctor showed and that she lays down in the prone position when laying in bed. It helped immensely, YOI said little sister so I want to assume she’s young. So if symptoms worsen please please take her straight to the ER. They are reserving beds for Covid 19 patients that’s why if someone comes back with a test that comes back positive, they’ll advice that mild symptoms should be taken care of at home. Hang in there, we can get through this pandemic and persist like the human race did with ones in the past.

The moment I lay on my stomach I was out within 5min maybe. I woke up four hours later able to breathe and able to move around. Very helpful information to add to my breathing lung exercises .
I have been using a pulse oximeter from Amazon innovo $35 and Volumetric breathing exerciser to strengthen my lungs . Have been doing same exercise as you showing but holding breath for 10 to 30 seconds . With the oximeter it helps me know if my oxygen too low but no problem . Makes feel good because of concern wearing masks and no issue or concern .

Thank you doc. This helps me for sure. I'm just now getting past the worst of it. I can't get far without losing my breath, but should I be pushing to do things like walk to my mailbox down the road, or take it more easy?

Is sitting in the chair where the chair touches your back obviously bad as laying on your back? Or not?
