I started this a few days ago. I have asthma and just recovered from covid. My Breathlessness was scary and had no energy for anything. My medication would not work. After only a couple of days I am so so much better thanks to these breathing exercises. Anyone considering this, do it. You will not regret it.

@@TheLisajoyce yes I did. I physically wrote out a list of a few breathing exercises and tried to do them throughout the day (3 times was probably the most I managed). Be patient and stick with it. When your well enough you can begin to challenge yourself more with short walks or small swim, whatever works for you. Definitely stay with your medication too. I think the combination of medicine and exercises complimented each other. Best of luck with it and just take it day by day. There is light at the end of the tunnel

Excellent to hear this. Traditionally I am a mouth breather, I have since had a septoplasty to correct a deviated septum. My nose airflow is greatly improved. However I still continue to mouth breath at night, it's almost the habit is so deeply ingrained. I will order the mouth tapes. What is your experience?

If you cannot breath well you will be too afraid to live well … take off the masks 😷 friends , breathe and share only positive thoughts and ACTIONS❤🙏THE TIME IS NOW .. it will never be tomorrow

I cured myself of asthma 5 years ago. Buteyko works. I mostly just used (and continue to use) a simple exercise of 10 5-second breath holds, with 10-15 seconds of normal breathing. So simple. All medications stopped 5 years ago. I have 6 cats and had immunotherapy (allergy shots) for 5 years without establishing immunity. Buteyko provided me with not just an improvement, but a complete cure. I threw out my epipen (long expired) a few months ago! I’m adding the following: breath holds are always at the end of a normal exhalation. Always nose breathe! If you need to do the various nose unblocking methods that Patrick and others indicate.

Valorie mad That’s awesome that your Grandma is so active. Doing the breathing exercises also helps with concentration and awareness and focus on that you’re actually breathing. If that makes sense. I should do them more often but I usually try to remember to do the breathing exercises when I get in bed because I have adhd especially at bed time where I can not get my brain to focus on one thing at a time. So the breathing exercises helps with that as well as strengthening the lungs.

These breathing exorcises actually help restore breathing patterns and have helped me stay calm. I get much better oxygen feelings with this than trying to force air into my lungs. It actually has I,proved the tightness in my chest as well and I feel like this has been crucial to me getting better. Thank you so much. I have tried this today. I am 5 weeks into recovery from COVID-19 and although I experienced some breathlessness since the start it was just a week ago that I began to experience more I tense shortness of breath at night. I found other breathing exercises were putting too much pressure on my lungs and in turn I would experience palpitations which increased anxiety that comes with breathlessness. This was much more gentle and less forceful. I will try this again before I go to sleep, I'm hopeful this will help with my recovery.

I had covid, when the fever hit I did wim hof breathing, I could only do rounds of 10 with15 sec holds, the fever was gone in 5 minutes, only had to do this a couple of times.
I also found that this breathing alleviated the cough, I think it opened the lung tubes that were contracting, felt like crap but I was back to work feeling fine by the end of my 10 day isolation.
All in all it didn't feel as bad as the flus I usually get every year which have been quite severe all my life, I must be sensitive to flu, I'm strong and healthy don't drink or smoke and eat healthy, I'm 55 now.

I was having trouble with my breathing about three years ago, I was ready to go to the doctor, I did some research on line and came across nasal breathing so I gave it a try, I decided to do it all the time, within 24 hours something happened that made me take it seriously, my nose was completely clear for just about the first time in my life, I decided to do it 24 /7, it took a while for my lungs to improve but the bonuses were unbelievable, no shoulder or neck pain, very much improved posture just about perfect, my skin improved my old age marks have almost gone, I sleep very well, I go to sleep and when I wake up I’m in the same position, I don’t use tape, overall I feel so much healthier and I’m 80 in June, 24/7 is the way to go if you can do it, three months ago I was in hospital and five guys in my ward were sleeping with their mouths wide open, rather sad, you keep up the good work your a hero. Hi Linda!
I'm so glad to have reached at least one person with my comment about this man. He is truly an angel on earth in the he explains this so many times. He realizes that those of us with Covid-19 are in a panic mode and very scared. that

      Hi Linda!
Thank you for replying to my comment about this remarkable man. He is truly an angel for us. He absolutely realizes that those of us with Covid-19 are in psychological panic mode, frightened and nervous especially if we are alone at home without any professional medical attention. That's why he is so repetitive. He drives it home to make sure we "get it".
In his video, he lovingly gives us the tools we need to be able to help ourselves.
He has made a very substantial contribution. If you're alone at home, it is important to monitor your vitals everyday. Like he mentions, see if you can find an oximeter. Try to find a blood pressure kit and a reliable thermometer. Record the readings in the morning when you wake up and in the evening. I hope for your speedy recovery.
      ❤️🙏🌹

Quite coincidentally I came across The Oxygen Advantage by Patrick McKeown about 6 months ago and have adopted the techniques including taping the mouth when sleeping at night. I do a lot of exercise, running and cycling, and it has transformed my performance for the better and my breathing is now properly controlled. When I started my BOLT score was around 15 seconds but now I'm up to 40. Another benefit is my sleep quality is much better and correct sleep also helps the immune system.

I found these breathing exercises most valuable and helpful to my overall oxygen saturation, 99% was displayed throughout your video as I continued the LSD Breathing. I remembered during first 12hrs following Aortic Valve Replacement 20yrs ago, I breathed just like your LSD Breathing, in hopes that making myself breathe slowly and deeply, would help to get the ventilator removed sooner rather than later. It worked! I was removed from the Ventilator many hours sooner than anticipated. It makes so much sense now, after listening to you in this video. Thank you

I used to worked out six days a week for 60 minutes and never had breathing problems until Covid-19 second bout. I woke up one morning walking through my house I got winded and to sit down. A few days later I was really sick so I made an appointment with my doctor. She wrote a prescription for an inhaler. Two years later Pulmonologist ordered lung screening, shows nothing to worry about. I’m on BREO now for COPD and want off of this therapy. I will be using the instructions to breathe better. Thanks

Been suffering from COVID for a month now. I'm speaking from India. I shook hands with an American visiting here. From the next hour onward, my asthma aggrevated. It increased to the extent I started having attacks by day12. Had to rush in emergency to the hospital to pull off my attacks. I'm having diarrhoea, joint pain and a feeling of weakness and headache for almost everyday now. I'm doing only fine with my asthma meds for now. I recovered fully without meds 9days ago. But 2days before my asthma came back. Some people's testimonies are true about the virus. Once you feel you're recovering, the virus puts you down again as if coming back for vengeance. I don't know how long this will go but the good thing is my lungs are fine by the CT scan. I'm searching several sources to bring down my asthma. This one's helping for sure. Thank you doctor. Stay home, stay safe. Follow the guidelines. This virus is surely a thing!

It tastes horrific!... like paint thinner smells (only worse)
I withstood the taste using a bit of honey (touch the spoon into honey, then out- 1/8th tsp?) which cancels out the horrific taste... but I was ‘burping paint thinner’ for hours. (good thing I’m strong-willed, or maybe just crazy:~)
I was also taking Oreganol P73; that is amazing also!
Now, due to this awful pandemic, I’m starting to take both again...
along with vitamin D3, 13 grams of vitamin C, Zinc lozenges etc... and a sugar-free 😒... green diet. This virus is about your immune system...

@@scarred10 The point of breathing exercises is not to reduce the risk of getting the virus. It is to reinforce your lungs to increase vitality and capacity, and reduce the effects on your lungs. When things are getting iffy on breathing, you want every advantage you can get. Being in good shape lung-wise is a good measure. You would be surprised how many things we can do for ourselves, for our own health. Most don't take to self-responsibility, we've been trained otherwise and of course if you won't do for yourself, than you'd likely prefer to take the attitude you are showing. But why not reconsider and try? You might be glad if it's you that's needing oxygen to get through this or maybe not.
