Yeah...but almost everyone has something like that to hide. If people were more understanding, who cares. If you're good at making others realize their own ignorance, you'll be fine. Just tell them "I know you jerk off and have sex too, and you've never watched porn?" and they will shut it
A lot of people (including my family members) will hear this and say, I have nothing to hide because I'm not doing anything wrong, so I don't care. Well... I'll quote Mr. Snowden: "Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say."
Warning: The corona virus is now being used to launch a police state and implement personal surveillance techniques. If your phone is Android or iOS, your movement is being secretly tracked by a "Contact Tracing" app from Google or Apple. Windows Phones may also tracking apps mandated by the government. However, you can defeat any tracing app by placing your phone in a "Faraday Bag" which will stop all broadband signals from being transmitted or received. Just do a search for "Faraday Bag" and you can buy one from Amazon or other stores. As a precaution, turn you phone off (but do not remove the battery) before placing it in the bag. Also, the bag will prevent your phone from sending or receiving any calls, texts, or anything involving Internet service. So just use the bag when you don't want to be traced, then remove it and turn it back on when you want to go back to normal phone service. Also, assume you are being tracked all the time and you should not carry your phone with you in any public place unless you absolutely need to use it there.

Companies like Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, etc do collect personal data about each of us, but in my view, it is done more as a "collective" type of thing -- done more so to "sell" us things-- to direct advertisements/direct market to us, if you will. Then, there's what comes after the ads trying to convince us we need some new toaster or gadget, and that's the messages, often subtle, that try to change or direct out way of thinking. Political "non-ads" that are designed to look and read like actual news, and a great example of that is Russia's effort to sway public opinion in US elections, most notably the 2016 presidential election.
So just use the bag when you don't want to be traced, then remove it and turn it back on when you want to go back to normal phone service.

Snowden should have charges dropped and be able to go back home to his family in the US. What he told the world about us being spied on was totally illegal by the government, set him free.
If Snowden was pardoned, the hate for him by the Deep State and sick minded would still be a constant threat on his life. Sadly he will never be totally free and he knows that. He made a personal decision and sacrifice for us and our country.

Funny thing is it's illegal to videotape someone without their permission on private property, yet it's perfectly legal for a company/gov to record a person(be that searches, location, audio, or video, etc.) on private property without their knowledge
pretty simply why; you're not that important to them. and gov's or billion dollar compagnies are. The more money or power you have the more you have to say and that is not a liniar relationship but exponential. The little joe in the street has no voice, untill he makes it into a MOVEMENT as snowden did
Do you remember when you weren't allowed into a concert with a 35mm camera or video recorder? We all have them now.
Just because it’s illegal don’t mean they don’t do it... he didn’t even have the clearance to know what he knew yet he still knew it and exposed the government to the world....
Depends on the state. My state is a one party state, you do not need permission from another person to record them. In fact, there is no privacy outside of your four walls. In law enforcement, we have used satellites for evidence in cases for years.
