I wonder if they know that S.W. is blind=not that blindness effects his voice...it's just that it puts a different spin on his talent. To me anyway. Same as Ray Charles =both phenomenal.
For me this song lights up when the brass section comes in, those horns add a whole different dimension to a rock song that you just don’t hear often. And Stevie Wonder’s voice is always amazing.

Some of the other commenters have hinted at it (disclaimer: I didn't read all of the comments) but not only is Stevie a great singer, he is an amazing writer, composer/arranger, and he plays a whole bunch of instruments. You guys should really explore more of his masterpieces. He's amazing live too.
I saw Stevie live once in Las Vegas at a private show and rode on a plane a few years ago with him in front of me with his wife and bodyguard. Out of respect I didn’t bother them but had a brief conversation with his bodyguard of many years. I don’t remember what we spoke about. Anyway, he is a Motown legend, hell he’s a world legend. He has more hits than most folks realize until you start counting them down. I’m happy to have grown up in a time where I was able to enjoy his music from when he was discovered by Berry Gordy as a young teenager through his solo projects when he broke from Motown until today.
I just had to say that your little "twin handshake" when you said the same thing was just adorable. I know 22-year-old men don't want to be called adorable, but live with it. I'm enjoying your channel so much.
Ellen S. Hi, oh wow! I never would have thought that. Everytime I saw him he was always looking happy. I guess it’s harder for him to keep that image when he’s live or for a lengthy time. Boy, you just never know ✌🏻
I seriously love how y'all defended yourselves with people saying they can't believe you have never heard of certain songs. You all ARE young! Y'all have inspired me to be more open minded with music and listen to different genres. Thanks.
I think even 20 year olds here would say "how is that even possible youve never heard it" im in that boat I find it horribly shocking. most of the songs on this channel I have known for over 10 years. probably come across in video games, radio, internet, dozens of times! I feel like older people here dont find it surprising but its actually REALLY shocking. When most of our generation do know these songs.
Stevie Wonder has so many good songs! Higher Ground...and Sign Sealed Delivered...my favorite! And another favorite is really early Stevie Wonder called...If You Really Love Me...
"He reminds me of Bruno Mars." That's no accident. Tip - when that happens, remember the younger singer was influenced by/is paying homage to the older singer. Bruno is borrowing from Stevie.
I love it when people get his youngest arcore preciate good music they don't make anymore and I think my opinion I love you guys very smart young man appreciation challenge you guys or Tommy Dorsey yours truly Debbie l skillman

I glad y'all are getting to listen to the legend, Stevie Wonder. Back in the day Stevie rocked some amazing clothes. His hair went from an afro to cornrows (in nice masculine patterns). Sometimes his stylist put African beads on the end. Stevie had a Afro centric phase too. Then he had dreadlocks. His up tempo songs are funky & make you want to dance. Steve's ballads make you want to share them with the one you love. Your going to have fun listening to lots more of his songs.
You have just experienced true greatness, Stevie was one of my favs growing up and this is what we were blessed with.!! I thank God I grew up during this ERA. He was a music writing machine.

OH MAN! YES! I heard Stevie wrote this song for Jeff Back to record, but his version turned out so good he put it on his own album. (Beck had played on Stevie's previous album - Talking Book) See you guys? Stevie influenced EVERYBODY.
Glad y’all are finding this “old” music! Have y’all heard the group Earth Wind & Fire? You don’t know what you are missing! My fav group of all time. Keep going, young ones 💜
Y'all are adorable! I love watching your reaction to awesome music I grew up with...lots of gold in the 60s and 70s. Some 80s, too! (Oh and usually Stevie has his hair in cornrows pulled back in a ponytail.)
One of the greatest guitarists on earth, Jeff Beck, was noodling around on a drum kit in the studio. Stevie told him to keep playing and started vamping on the keyboards. Stevie went on to complete it himself and released his version before Jeff's "Beck, Bogert and Appice" album was done. Stevie Ray Vaughn also did some mean covers of this.
Motown released it because Talking Book needed a hit and they wanted to get it out before Jeff Beck's version dropped and did because there was a delay in his group's album's release. Stevie said he told Motown it was written Jeff Beck to release first and actually hoped it would be released first but there was nothing he could do about it. Stevie's version was released in October 1972 and Jeff's version was released in December.
I am so happy to see you young men enjoying the treasures that many have enjoyed for years. Music has such a rich history that many younger generations don't even realize. Music was music and it crossed many lines of and is so good for the soul. Makes the soul and heart feel good. Keep exploring and enjoy the endless bounties of all the cultures. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
My bad....I've heard that their mom was in the struggle. I'm understanding why they missed so much music now. I really admire these young men's vision and ambition.
What these beautiful young men are doing is phenomenal - and guys please keep it up. Nothing but encouragement here!🥰 You’re in my top two favorite of these new music first-reaction channels. Still, what sometimes baffles me (and I’m speaking to your audience here) is how, being a child of the 70s, my generation was so much more aware of a vast variety of musical styles and artists who were big even decades before we were born up through our current time - and this was WITHOUT the Internet, phones, etc., that the next generations pretty much had at their fingertips ALL their lives. Our parents and their parents and their parents played their music, and we just soaked it all up. Plus radio was super diverse. It really is telling about how we (I’m GenX) were so much more well rounded musically as youth and now. Yet, that wide musical scope has SHARPLY narrowed and become more segregated these days (but thankfully not completely).... and here’s the kicker....Since it’s MY generation that raised THIS generation, I’m just gonna say it: it’s WE who partially dropped that ball! So all of you who criticize these young men for not knowing what they don’t know, think about that. Also I believe in an interview these young men mentioned that they grew up in a somewhat religious home that didn’t allow them to listen to a lot of secular music, so that definitely is a factor. #PeaceLoveAndMusic
SERIOUSLY! I grew up in Detroit...the birth home of Motown, Hitsville USA thanks to Mr. Barry Gordy, a genius and the man that gave MANY artists their start and careers!
Stevie Wonder was/is a force of nature. He was called “Little Stevie Wonder” because he started recording so young. It’s such a great idea for you two to take a look back at the music that’s had such an influence on what is out there now, and I enjoy watching you discover these songs. Keep up the great work!

sibkiss2009 Yeah man! A few years ago I was lucky enough to see him TWICE in concert, doing Songs in the Key of Life. Omg I can die and go to heaven now. Just amazing!
This was actually off of Talking Book.
Songs in the Key of Life is one of the best albums ever. As a kid I saved up my money, walked several miles to the record store to buy it, and carried it home as my price possession. I still have it, and now my kids love it.
Love’s in need of love today. All of the songs on that LP are relevant today.
With the execption of the horns, Stevie is also playing all the instruments himself...and he's BLIND!
Wait... I'm 40 and I didn't know we played the guitar. Holy shit man.
🤯
@@r.girouard5886 he isn't. Stevie is playing a Fender Rhodes, clavinet (the guitar sound you hear), a moog synthesizer (bass sound you hear), and live drums.
@@TheThugNasty IS! He IS incredible. Stevie is still with us, alive and well. Check out his 2005 album, "A Time 2 Love." He's still the man after five decades in the biz.
No disrespect but I feel like parents have failed if they don't expose their kids to someone like Stevie who is a piece of living history. Hope you boys dig deeper and pass it on. ☮️💜
Ya gotta listen to "Livin' For the City" and "Don't You Worry 'bout a Thing." And "Ribbon in the Sky" is gorgeous.
Yes yes yes and YES!
Yes all these and Higher Ground!
Ribbon in the sky,the most beautiful, romantic love song, totally different vibe.
Honestly, everything that man’s voice touches is gold. Do “Signed Sealed Delivered” next pls!
Lindsay Garcia @Lindsay Garcia I made the same request! I used to dance down the street when it came on the radio
I wonder if they know that S.W. is blind=not that blindness effects his voice...it's just that it puts a different spin on his talent. To me anyway. Same as Ray Charles =both phenomenal.
"Living in the City"
We are laughing in both a good spirit and good agreement, dear Lindsay-of-Garcia..
If you played this song in a morgue, everybody would have to get up to dance. Seeing you guys listen to one of my favourites truly was awesome.
Fact
You sir win the Internet for today 😂💜😜👏👏👏
No lies detected!
thats just superstiti----- oh damn
Andy Gattis 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If i remember correctly Stevie played everything on this track except the horns. This is a large rabbit hole, but well worth it. Keep going
Correct! Beyond talented, a gift to the world and peace and justice
That's correct! Check out Rick Beato's amazing breakdown of this song from his UA-cam channel: ua-cam.com/video/M7d7AL5Tvn4/v-deo.html
Bruno Mars reminds ME OF Stevie Wonder, LOL!
Thanks for linking to Rick Beato. Hadn’t heard of him before, but he does a great breakdown of this song. I subscribed!
On Songs In the Key if Life he played all the music but he uses synthesizers
For me this song lights up when the brass section comes in, those horns add a whole different dimension to a rock song that you just don’t hear often. And Stevie Wonder’s voice is always amazing.
Stevie's my all time fav, love almost all his songs, but "I Wish" is my all time fav song of his for sure. Got so many hits tho, hard to choose. My "Cherie Amour" I love, too. Twins, you should dedicate the "best of" for the greatest musicians w/ true longevity in the biz.
I just love seein' these two young guys discovering the music...it makes my heart happy.
Try "Living for the City" and "Higher Ground". They are absolutely🔥!
"Living for the City" - For sure
Higher Ground has been on my regular rotation for years now. Such a great song.
Yes! Innervisions is his best album, been listening to it for decades, first on vinyl, now CD and MP3.
My favorite “Isn’t She Lovely?” was written for his daughter. He never saw her bc he was blind, but she was lovely, how beautiful is that?
Higher Ground! Another excellent sample of his talent!
"My Cherie Amour" is my favourite.
Letta Reid I like Ribbon in the Sky.
@@karensheline5183 I like that, too. Also Overjoyed and As.

It is impossible to be in a bad mood when you're listening to Stevie.

Songs in the Key of Life. All the songs on that album are classic greatness. Stevie is a very talented man.
I was born in 1970. I still own that album and listen to it often..timeless
Yep. Everyone should listen to it front to back.
@@alisamartin3874 A few years ago I went to his Songs in the Key of Life concert. It was amazing I shed a few tears he is my favorite of all times followed by Sade.
@@vpoetic I bet it was amazing! I'm actually a huge Sade fan. Been fortunate enough to see her twice in concert. First time India Arie opened for her, the second time John Legend opened...Also both incredible artists. If you get a chance to see Sade please do... Unforgettable!
@@alisamartin3874 I saw India Arie performing live with Stevie Wonder, but I would love to go to one of her shows. And I went to that same Sade concert when John Legend opened for her. I agree with was incredible! I can't wait for Sade to do another tour.
Neon Park 💯 percent agree.
I would *love* to hear him live.
Loved Stevie Wonder 50 years+. Meaningful lyrics... "when you believe in things you don't understand, then you suffer!"
"Songs in the key of life" is one of the best albums you'll ever listen to on this planet. Just my opinion.
Your opinion is also a fact.
@ Indeed!
2nd that emotion!
"As" -- one of the greatest songs in the world.
Fact!
Stevie Wonder had never left Motown Records. He threatened when he wanted to change musical direction but Berry gave in and the 25 Grammy's later....
Stevie Wonder is one of greatest singer/songwriters in the last 100 years.
Ever!
Stevie Wonder is a genius, has his own distinct sound.
I just had to say that your little "twin handshake" when you said the same thing was just adorable. I know 22-year-old men don't want to be called adorable, but live with it. I'm enjoying your channel so much.
Stevie was about their age when he wrote and sang Superstition...
He played EVERY instrument in the recording and sang it.
Ironwolf Gaming still blows my mind that he played the drums on this record.
😳
I was shouting this to the screen to these bopping children!
@@gabrielledaniels9540 exactly!! I'm sitting like "what?!!! Are you kidding me?"
Stevie knows how to get down & always smiling! He’s an inspiration to everyone ♥️
So true.
Moto Dork Hi, for real though... can’t help but admire someone like that ✌🏻
no, I've seen him annoyed. if things aren't the way he wants them, he'll stop & start again. on stage.
Ellen S. Hi, oh wow! I never would have thought that. Everytime I saw him he was always looking happy. I guess it’s harder for him to keep that image when he’s live or for a lengthy time. Boy, you just never know ✌🏻
missgmoma hi :-)
Listen to Higher Ground, Livin for the City, the entire Songs In The Key Of Life is amazing! He is a genius!
I seriously love how y'all defended yourselves with people saying they can't believe you have never heard of certain songs. You all ARE young! Y'all have inspired me to be more open minded with music and listen to different genres. Thanks.
I think even 20 year olds here would say "how is that even possible youve never heard it"
im in that boat I find it horribly shocking. most of the songs on this channel I have known for over 10 years. probably come across in video games, radio, internet, dozens of times!
I feel like older people here dont find it surprising but its actually REALLY shocking. When most of our generation do know these songs.
@leslie Bird - AGREED!
Don't denigrate... appreciate!
you gotta listen to “Higher Ground” by Stevie Wonder and “Papa Was A Rollin’ Stone” by the Temptations!!!

Actually, started performing at 9 years old as Little Stevie Wonder. Started playing harmonica at 4 and piano right after that.
Imma say it again, Stevie is STILL way ahead of our time.
Stevie Wonder has so many good songs! Higher Ground...and Sign Sealed Delivered...my favorite! And another favorite is really early Stevie Wonder called...If You Really Love Me...
YES!! Solid choices!! 🔥🔥
Remember Ebony and Ivory? Didn’t that have something to do w piano 🎹 keys ?
I Wish, Master Blaster.., Sir Duke... Loads!
Higher Ground is excellent.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers cover was my introduction to that song.
"He reminds me of Bruno Mars."
That's no accident. Tip - when that happens, remember the younger singer was influenced by/is paying homage to the older singer. Bruno is borrowing from Stevie.
So talented! And he's blind since he was a kid. Check out his carpool karaoke
I love it when people get his youngest arcore preciate good music they don't make anymore and I think my opinion I love you guys very smart young man appreciation challenge you guys or Tommy Dorsey yours truly Debbie l skillman
Yes, Stevie is a jokester too!!! Very funny.
My first thought, too. Not to be missed!
Would love to see the Twins react to several Carpool Karaoke episodes - some great talent on there and Funny

Stevie Wonder makes my soul HAPPY. He was also one of my (late) dad's favorites.

Stevie Wonder's music catalog is enormous. You could have a "Top 100 Hit List" just on his own music.
Stevie Wonder was one of the greatest Entertainers of all time. Give him any instrument and within days he had picked it up, and he was Blind, Amazing. Hence the name " Stevie Wonder "..
What do you mean was he's still with us

Haha aren't we all! 💘 love these kids.
People, stop judging these young men! What they’re doing is wonderful.

Stevie was speaking the truth with this song.
OH MAN! YES! I heard Stevie wrote this song for Jeff Back to record, but his version turned out so good he put it on his own album. (Beck had played on Stevie's previous album - Talking Book) See you guys? Stevie influenced EVERYBODY.

Ladies and gentlemen, Stevie Wonder - a national treasure!
What a tune! Glad you guys liked it! Loving your reactions :) Have you guys heard Boogie Wonderland - Earth, Wind & Fire - an absolute classic!
PLAY THAT THANG! You guys are adorable! Love watching your reactions...Stevie Wonder is a LEGEND...glad you got around to him! Keep on rockin'!

I can’t believe their parents didn’t tell them about the genius of Stevie Wonder.
Same thought did they grow up in a bubble
SERIOUSLY! I grew up in Detroit...the birth home of Motown, Hitsville USA thanks to Mr. Barry Gordy, a genius and the man that gave MANY artists their start and careers!
People...be nice. They’re sweet kids, maybe their folks just weren’t that into music.
Even my kids knew about this song and others that they claim are a first to hear 🤨 🤔
You mean their grandparents, they are only in their twenties. 🤣
Stevie Wonder was/is a force of nature. He was called “Little Stevie Wonder” because he started recording so young. It’s such a great idea for you two to take a look back at the music that’s had such an influence on what is out there now, and I enjoy watching you discover these songs. Keep up the great work!
Stevie is a musical genius. All these keyboards that he played like the clavinet, synthesizers and electric pianos were relatively new at the time yet he mastered them with ease.
22 and never heard Stevie Wonder? Where you been hiding? One of the very best artists of all time. Man, you got a lot of great Wonder tunes ahead of you. Wish I were in your shoes.
Me seeing the song they’re reacting to: Oh shit! They’re gonna lose their minds! 😂
