Henry Cavill should just try and do it himself at this point. Work with some smaller studio or start his own studio and get funding and investment from fans and content creators to get it started. WH40k is at an all time high in popularity right now with the success of Space Marine II so now would be the best time for it. Assuming GW lets him use the IP.
Amazon and GW haven't even finalised the contracts (as both parties announced back in December they have till the end of this year to come to terms and sign off on it) so nothing is scrapped since nothing has even happened yet

They've been pumping out free content for their WWZ game since forever and it's a multiple year old game (they just released a new Extinction mode for that just recently, after Space Marine launch) and have released a patch for Evil Dead, also just recently. So with the major success of Space Marines, they've still not neglected their old titles b/c ppl still playing those games. Again this shit is free content in terms of wwz other than the paid Arizona DLC (but that's an entire three new maps, new characters (voice lines and etc) and other stuff that you actually get something out of other than being nickel and dimed to death like EA/Ubisoft and bigger studio's.

I think a lot of modern games need to go back to basics. Like I remember this Mad Max open-world sandbox game a few years ago where you hunt for fuel, attack hostile bases that have puzzle elements, and tie everything together you have your driving rig that you slowly enhance over time. It did a great job of making you feel like a survivor in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It was a simple, by-the-numbers design, but it was done so well that was enough to carry it. Games these days act like they need to constantly reinvent the wheel, which is dead wrong.
It's pretty hard to F up 40k unless you're trying. It's the most popcorn of popcorn mindless entertainment you could hope for. 80s action movies did this easily.

I think the best way they could introduce a 40k show would be a 'love death and robots' style show. Lots of short stories that flit and span the difference races (HERESY) and lives of the people in this setting. From hive world sump to craft world, front line guardsman to civilians trying to survive a chaos/Nid invasion. 40k is so vast and lore rich I think this would be the best way to expose newcomers to as much of the setting as possible.

Confer with the community to ensure lore loyalty or mine some good ideas. How is nobody doing this? Amazon can't hold the rights if they sit on it.

Henry Cavill should just try and do it himself at this point. Work with some smaller studio or start his own studio and get funding and investment from fans and content creators to get it started. WH40k is at an all time high in popularity right now with the success of Space Marine II so now would be the best time for it. Assuming GW lets him use the IP.

Amazon and GW haven't even finalised the contracts (as both parties announced back in December they have till the end of this year to come to terms and sign off on it) so nothing is scrapped since nothing has even happened yet

I think Amazon underestimated how big of an franchise Warhammer and with it Games Workshop as an company already is and with that negoatiation about their aganeda is a hell lot more difficult at that point. It backfired on them so hard.

Saber is legit. They've been pumping out free content for their WWZ game since forever and it's a multiple year old game (they just released a new Extinction mode for that just recently, after Space Marine launch) and have released a patch for Evil Dead, also just recently. So with the major success of Space Marines, they've still not neglected their old titles b/c ppl still playing those games. Again this shit is free content in terms of wwz other than the paid Arizona DLC (but that's an entire three new maps, new characters (voice lines and etc) and other stuff that you actually get something out of other than being nickel and dimed to death like EA/Ubisoft and bigger studio's.

I think a lot of modern games need to go back to basics. Like I remember this Mad Max open-world sandbox game a few years ago where you hunt for fuel, attack hostile bases that have puzzle elements, and tie everything together you have your driving rig that you slowly enhance over time. It did a great job of making you feel like a survivor in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It was a simple, by-the-numbers design, but it was done so well that was enough to carry it. Games these days act like they need to constantly reinvent the wheel, which is dead wrong.

I think the best way they could introduce a 40k show would be a 'love death and robots' style show.
Lots of short stories that flit and span the difference races (HERESY) and lives of the people in this setting.
From hive world sump to craft world, front line guardsman to civilians trying to survive a chaos/Nid invasion.
40k is so vast and lore rich I think this would be the best way to expose newcomers to as much of the setting as possible.

1. Build the series around a newly minted Ordo Xenos Inquisitor. Maybe use Inquisitor Valeria from Dawn of War 2.
2. Build each season around dealing with a different conflict in the 40K universe with occasional sprinkling of chaos influences throughout.
3. Profit.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a perfect example of world design, it was vast enough for the player to explore and there was always something happening, no matter where you go it made that world feel more alive.

Henry Cavill should seriously consider crowd-funding something epic. A really ambitious, seemingly impossible scope. Set up the next MCU with the quality and care of LOTR. Take the necessary time to do things right. Offer production updates to backers. Nobody would care about spoilers if its decades old stories. Confer with the community to ensure lore loyalty or mine some good ideas. How is nobody doing this? Amazon can't hold the rights if they sit on it.
