11:28 Dark of the moon is the best live action movie, Transformers one (the animated on in theaters rn) is the BEST transformers movie. i am objectively correct.
9:24 that’s probably what I love most about the game that the strategy is always the same. Rush and give no ground and kill until there is nothing left to kill. Like a true space marine
A very memorable moment for me was doing co-op with my friends in one of the tyranid/heretic mixed missions. Out of nowhere this massive battle broke out between tyranids and heretics because happened to agro both and both called from reinforcements. After some locked in game play I remember thinking to myself “Holy sht where did that cinematic fight come from?”
I love that you just talk about the game and what makes it great and that you dont start crying about how modern games are garbage. People just cant enjoy their favorite hobby anymore without complaining about something. It's time to start enjoying games again.
I love how straightforward and fleshed out the armor customization is in Spacemarine 2. It should always be this simple. Play the game, unlock new things!
As a guy with a full time job i love that this game doesn't want to be my second job. And that's why it's my go to. Hard day at work ? Purge the Xenos and Heretics, have fun and unlock cool stuff. No FOMO, no predatory bullshit, just a cool game made by devs that understand gamers, not by greedy corpo-suits. Also... FOR THE EMPEROR !
I was honestly shocked that so far, the PVP has hooked me as much as it has. Refreshing playing a slower paced game that prioritizes sticking with your team and rewards playing smart and knowing when to engage and when to retreat based on your class and abilities. PVP has been my favorite part of the game which has been a pleasant surprise.
I've spent a good amount of time playing Space Marine 2, maybe like 30 hours total between the three modes with the vast majority being in the Operations mode. The thing I like about it so much is that I feel like I could step away for a month or more, come back, and not feel like I'm behind and need to play catch up. I can just dive right in and start slaying xenos and heretics like the day I left.
SM2 sends an important message to a lot of developers and that message is "know your audience" space marine is made for true Warhammer fans and also made for gamers , not trying to appeal to anything else. It's a video game it doesn't need to send some moral or important message. It's a video game about Warhammer and that's all it needs to be Genuinely if there was a bit more multiplayer content off the bat and the game had less performance issues id give it a 10/10
Im glad you have decided to play and review Space Marine 2 this is one of the only good triple A games this year, and it deserves all the exposure it can get.
15:19 I shouldn't have played Armed and Dangerous as a kid but those defense sections, the shark gun, and jetpack brought back memories! I loved your video recap of that game!
You mentioned how the PvE ties directly to the Campaign and it made me remember how Mass Effect 3 multiplayer did that with the story mode. Every time you fought back the reapers on the multiplayer maps with your buddies you would see your war effort in the main game slowly go up as the Reapers lost control of those areas. It gave you incentive to play multiplayer and also made you feel like your efforts actually mattered. Gosh I wish games would go back to doing those kinds of creative things instead of being so one dimensional. 😅
What's nice is that stuff isn't being tolerated, season pass doesn't expire and gives you the opportunity to unlock the content at your leisure. They made the free preorder bonus paid dlc after the fact so that people can get it years from now if they missed out on launch which is great for everyone. It really feels like they respect us as players and realize that their game shouldn't be another 9-5 3 month expiring battle pass.
@@chris8800 Only goes to show how nebulous and completely nonsensical some of the anti-woke crowd are. "Unprobably diverse Ultramarines"? By brother in the Emperor, Utlramar is called the 500 Worlds for a reason. And "women in unprobable positions of power"? Not like literally everyone from Cadia was in the Guard, prior to it breaking (the planet that is, not the Guard).
As a big Warhammer fan and fan of the first one, this is my game of the year. I even have over 10 hours in the Multiplayer because there are not that many maps, you learn them quick and the classes are easy to play but hard to master. The fact that I can just log in, play one or two rounds after work and log out, is the perfect game for me. And they took so much care of the lore its just amazing cant wait for more, no matter if it is a sequel or dlc. And when the Fleshtearers are playable it's game on baby!
It feels good to have a game with a classic level based campaign. Though short, each level is a blast. I'm going through it a 3rd time on Angel of Death difficulty then finally on Easy.
7:32 to be fair, there IS a codex system, it's just that it more recounts events that happen within the game itself, rather than general Warhammer lore outside of the game.
none of my friends were fans of Warhammer and they loved it. As a fan of Warhammer I too loved it, there was so many parts where we were all just sat like ok that was awesome. Its an amazing universe and has so many badass books. And the minis... Plastic crack. Hopefully it introduces more people to the universe and gets people into the minis as well
Gears of War 1's Multiplayer was an afterthought too, literally tact on and it was my most played game of all time and same goes for a lot of other people too. Just goes to show that you don't need to spend millions or thousands of hours to make a good MP experience, all it takes is passion and fun gameplay.
Remember that Warhammer 40k first began in 1987, long before many other games that use similar concepts such as Starcraft. They are the grandfather of many ideas that consumers often forget.

As someone who's been into Warhammer for over 20 years. What warms my old nerd bones is seeing multitudes of people discovering 40k for the first time and gleefully throw themselves into the rabbit hole. Welcome Initiates, it's quite nice down here.
Hearing the Bloodlust sound effect made me pop my CD’s irl. I hope you’re happy.
Lord tzeensch finds this to be pleasing and will not yet turn you into a chaos spawn keep up the good work GLORY TO THE LORD OF CHANGE
*[Act Man]:* "Son, you ARE the cover"
*[Tyberos the Red Wake]:* huehuehuehue...that's cute, I'm an entire bastion.
Sometimes you guys get too nerdy and nobody tells you that you crossed a line, so I'm here to help you.
The original quote was good enough.
A very memorable moment for me was doing co-op with my friends in one of the tyranid/heretic mixed missions. Out of nowhere this massive battle broke out between tyranids and heretics because happened to agro both and both called from reinforcements.
After some locked in game play I remember thinking to myself “Holy sht where did that cinematic fight
come from?”
Yeah, Act man you should definitely play wh40k Boltgun it’s fucking awesome
This is the same studio that invented swarm software just for zombies in WWZ. If anyone knows how to make an endless horde mode, it's them.
Real Marines knows that the thumbnail isn't a filter or edited!
I love that you just talk about the game and what makes it great and that you dont start crying about how modern games are garbage. People just cant enjoy their favorite hobby anymore without complaining about something. It's time to start enjoying games again.
upvote comment so more people can see this. you’re so right
Personally I don't mind if modern games are garbage because that just means I get to save money. So in my own opinion, I'm perfectly happy about this
Doom, gears of war, space marine
The holy trinity of masculinity
“Who is the Hitler of Warhammer 40K?”
“Everyone”
All you need to know.
Everyone exept maybe Farsight
@@thebaron2277 nope, even him 😂
This just proves that we NEED A STARCRAFT FPS/TPS!!
I love how straightforward and fleshed out the armor customization is in Spacemarine 2. It should always be this simple. Play the game, unlock new things!
The crazy amount of people getting into Warhammer 40K lore warms my heart. Let's just hope their wallets won't go empty XD
1:28 "Respect your Eldars*"
no
Not only is this game great, it’s a perfect entry point into Warhammer. I’ve been watching lore videos since this came out
Loving the cheeky StarCraft background music lol. This game made me love shooters again.
Totally with you there. It has surprised me just how addictive it can be, that slower heavier pace just isn't about much anymore.
It's a video game about Warhammer and that's all it needs to be
Genuinely if there was a bit more multiplayer content off the bat and the game had less performance issues id give it a 10/10
Im glad you have decided to play and review Space Marine 2 this is one of the only good triple A games this year, and it deserves all the exposure it can get.

Act Man doing a team four star dragon ball reference?
Goated.
The story is way longer than Mw3 campaign
This can be the next forever game with the correct updates. New factions. Can introduce vehicles. Modes obviously and etc. I approve
Some people say you're Gay, some say you're an Act, I say you're a Man.
15:19 I shouldn't have played Armed and Dangerous as a kid but those defense sections, the shark gun, and jetpack brought back memories! I loved your video recap of that game!
Only issue I have with the opening to this vid is now I REALLY NEED a 3rd person shooter from Starcraft
Sadly every attempt has been cancelled by Blizzard
Aaannnd appearently they are working on a Starcraft shooter once again. If it does come, I pray it will be good.
@@thefierycharmeleon164 hopefully it comes through this time
In an engine like SM2's it would be glorious
The Redemptor Dreadnought smacking down the Helbrute's hammer makes me feel things every time I see it
Bro is never posting that rdr2 review 😂😂
Act Ma'am won't like it said, but Warhammer 40k isn't pussified DEI slop and that's why it remains so popular.
My only complaint is that in the first game, Titus can have 4 weapons instead of 2.
The beauty of this game is that it ignores politics & DEI and fully embraces the meme:
"All I know is that I must kill."
The games already on the woke list btw
@@chris8800 of course it is
Our politics are purging heretics. All diversity is equally included.
Holy shit armed and dangerous was my thang. Loved the gun which inverted the whole world and the one which a shark comes out the ground
Berate me if I'm wrong but there is a saying in 40k, "Send 3 marines to take a planet, 6 to take a system"
7:32 to be fair, there IS a codex system, it's just that it more recounts events that happen within the game itself, rather than general Warhammer lore outside of the game.
50,000 days of waiting for the Cod 4 review, but still it’s a ghost town.
none of my friends were fans of Warhammer and they loved it. As a fan of Warhammer I too loved it, there was so many parts where we were all just sat like ok that was awesome. Its an amazing universe and has so many badass books. And the minis... Plastic crack. Hopefully it introduces more people to the universe and gets people into the minis as well
Putting Gears of War music on a Warhammer video is ultimate chad move
“Blessed is the mind too small for doubt.”
I really appreciate the Vermintide 2 main theme in the background during the first minute.
Same company that's working on kotor. Honestly great news.
I'm a huge 40K nerd. I play and run tournaments every month, read the books, games, etc. I loved all the jokes you made
Am a nerd 40k story buff and i love seeing new people getting into the Universe, getting everything wrong, I love it because I can relive what I felt the first time learning 40k.
Adding Vermintide 2 theme to the intro is like a cheatcode to videos
