Exclusives are an old dead concept. Console wars are old and a dumb concept. The consumer is all that matters, make a console worth playing on over a PC and then they will sell. Make a console affordable with this aspect and it will sell.

How do these companies put out billions to only rake in a small amount of millions from the hot garbage they make? If WH40K goes the way Amazon wants to do it, NO ONE will want to watch or support it, but somehow the sh*t train content won't slow down, they'll ruin that the same as Ring of Power.

One big thing is that Microsoft is too hands off on managing their studios. They really should be checking in on their studios fairly often and getting weekly progress reports on what's going on and what the problems are if any develop. Also, when Microsoft first acquired these studios, they really should've evaluated all the leadership teams of these studios because they were in big trouble when Microsoft bought them. On Ubisoft, I pretty much avoid their games on principle now. They pretty much beat EA and Activision/Blizzard on being the shittiest video game company in the world in my opinion (Activision/Blizzard are only off the list because Microsoft bought them).

The only thing I hate about ps5 is not having a homescreen theme. Miss my Sephiroth theme

Yeah sure, you believe that they are selling a ton of preorders? You know how the game works right? They either just say there's a ton of preorders or they (Ubisoft) buys the preorders themselves. Sony a lousy company. They introduced PSN as mandatory, Failed, but Now make Helldivers 2 unfun to make people quit so when they reintroduce PSN mandatory they don't get review bombed. The other 3 was absorbed into other studios. The peopels wasnt fired. I think we are about 1-2 years away from a total woke collapse of gaming. Once it collapses then companies can start fresh and listen to what people want.

That's the problem. Seems like every previous next gen had big headliner games to draw people in. This is what happens when you put out a console that doesn't give any incentive to buy it... and I guess covid and all the scalpers didn't help either.

What's important to understand that they don't look at the rejection of their bs as a loss, but rather a long-term investment. If they just keep brute-forcing these tactics, then latter gen-z and gen-alpha will only know it as the standard, and they'll willingly accept it.

Exclusives aren't "necessary" for a console to sell well. Uncensored games, well-supported games, consumer-friendly games that customers can "OWN" are what makes a console sell well. What's killing consoles now is the business approach they are doing by applying the same thing the AAA industry is doing to PC games onto the console-first games. Bigger, larger, huge bloated budget and employee count (out of catering to the requirements of ESG-DIE investments), or just outright buying studios because the main company is no longer capable of making their own good software, all of these are what's killing consoles. If you go back to the PS1, PS2, you can see that a ton of games for those consoles aren't even close to AAA or AA quality. And yet there's A LOT of them. This is because the game devs were supported or at least allowed to stretch their legs in making their games in the way they want to, limited only by the console hardware and software. If you look at Sony's Vita, they basically killed the handheld by stifling the game developers who are the ones who make the games that extend the console's lifespan. And we all know how that ended up compared to the PSP.

And they are banning people in 177 countries from playing anything with PSN. Welp thats that for the PS just as the Xbox died.

1:20 to be fair I think that might be partially because they are still supporting ps4. By this time in the ps4 lifecycle a lot of the games that came out weren’t coming to ps3, whereas most “next gen” games come out on both ps4 and 5 nowadays. Guarantee if they stopped ps4 support the PS5 would sell like hot cakes
