Add to my existing doorbell old school type. Do I need to up the amperage like I had to with my ring or can I just use the existing wires plug and go type thing? Thanks!
Thanks but… Cloud or local? What does that mean? Sync module? How does that work? Is it included? In the settings you were just reading all the settings instead of explaining any of them. “Enable video recording?” Why would you disable that? Would have loved more recommendation and do’s and don’ts etc.
I want to buy just the camera, hardwire it to my current doorbell power, and be able to have motion-recorded clips in the cloud..and pay for the $30/year subscription, seems very reasonable. But to do this, must I buy the Blink Add-on sync module 2 ??
No! The sync module is just to have locally saved clips and not pay the subscription costs. So you can do either option! Here is more info on the sync module: Save your clips locally with the Sync Module 2 via a USB flash drive
I pretty much figured out how to use all of these features. I was just on here to see if there was anything else that I didn't know about. The only thing I gotta experiment with is connecting it to my original doorbell wiring. It's actually a lot cheaper than the ring doorbell. I'm just trying to compare them. I feel like this one gives u your bang for your buck
I have 5 blink camera's around my house that i purchased after a break-in. I only have them armed from dusk to dawn to save the battery life. If i link a blink camera to my module 2, will it only be armed dusk to dawn? Thanks in advance
Setting mine up, when trying to set up per instructions via wifi all of neighbor's wifi show up. I'm stuck. Don't have the Blink sync module. Instructions says not required. Could you do the initial setup for "dummies" please.
How quickly can you answer a doorbell with the app? I have blink security cameras and they’re not too fast. I’m hoping the doorbell camera allows you quicker speeds to respond
@@juneburton8596 I have the hub and a blink plan from my other regular blink cameras outside. I went back to Ring after trying this doorbell. It’s nowhere near as fast as Ring, nor does it give you previews of who’s at the door. By the time you get into the camera view the person is gone. Don’t waste your money
For me, it tales about 10s to view live feed on my doorbell. Unfortunately, I was told that's about the average time by customer support. I really wish it was as fast as my indoor cameras when viewing live feed.
only works with blink app no 3rd part ip software. if a camera goies offline you beed to removve it from the app and reinstall it, which includes hitting reset on actual camera ,To view on homer pc you have to install and android emulator and put up with the 100's of ads to download games.. no remote reset.also no web access at all.
Better until you realize it's as useful a brick unless you get your credit card out to pay them another $5/ a month minimum. So sick of everything coming with a monthly fee.

Is there a delay when you pass the motion sensor to getting a message on your phone?

Thanks for the comment! I'd recommend reaching out to the brand! -MB
Instead of the doorbell having a microSD card slot, they require you to buy a separate $35 sync module to save video.
It comes with the sync module but not an SD card @@johnpereznyc
So is it free if you want to just view the doorbell live?
Does the live feature only work for plans? How the hell do I go live just to check the camera?
You'll have to reach out to the brand directly! -MB

Hope this isnt a dumb question but Can someone just grab the unit off its base. I've heard of people stealing them
It would depend how you install it but it would also be set up on another account so it wouldn't make sense to steal.

Defiantly! Way better value and make sure you get the Blink Add-On Sync Module 2!

Question: What height on the wall do you recommend installing?
Doorbell height which online says anywhere between 40 and 48 inches tall!
@@DigitalDavid Thank you
Can you do live and motion detection if you are wireless?
Do I need a sync module to do these things?
Sync module just helps with clip storage!!

Same as cameras for me! So I'd assume the same as you currently experience!
@@DigitalDavid thanks. I’ll try it out and see if I keep it.
Do you have the hubs when I purchased mine the sales rep recommended getting the hub for extra perks

Blink is hand down better than ring. Ring software is horrible. Always has trouble reconnecting.
I never had software issues with ring but the value is better on blink without the monthly fees!
So do 😢motion work
???
Ring doorbell is better
You think so? Both are def great brands!

Blink better
i agree
