Little bit of advice to anyone who buys the ring spotlight pro if you use Birdseye motion detection range will only be about 15 feet but if you switch Birdseye view off it will go up to 40 to 50 feet
Have a Ring for quite a few years. My camera faces the street which gets a lot of traffic. Have reduced coverage area to reduce car traffic from triggering the camera, but the truth is you need to recharge the battery monthly. Don’t listen to manufacturer steel. I just bought a second battery that I keep charged so replacing it is a two minute chore. Camera works great.
I hate blink. I have it for 10 months and completely useless. When someone is at the door for example, i get a notification but when i click on it, it keeps thinking and thinking, and by the time it opens up (most of the time it doesn’t) the person has already left. It does this with all cameras 😤
I have great fiber wifi. Also a huge delay. Even with my car coming down driveway it wasn't notifying me until I was parked, about 40 second delay. I live on the country and get no deer etc. Just not good.
I loved the Blink but my deal breaker was the sync 2 module, caused very slow loading (yes i do have fast internet speed). I like the Ring, especially the full body view. Thx for this review!!
Sync module allows you to have local storage/ no subscription. So its a money saver. Its not as fast compared to having the subscription with data on the cloud. It just depends what you want.
I have blink. Those lithium batteries Dont last long in a high traffic area. I change my batter every 4-5 months and those batteries are expensive. I dont use sync because i pay for the subscription. I also have live feed. I can take the battery off the bracket using my fingernail.

Great video! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Glad I’m grandfathered in on blink. I get free cloud.

I'd not say it's useless but the notifications can be slow at coming in and you often get repeated notifications from 20-25 minutes ago
@@petersmith7126sounds like you might need some better WiFi boss.
As someone already mentioned, it’s your WiFi . I have a complete blink system with 10 cameras and have no issues…I love it !❤.

Ring for doorbell and blink for cameras
Same
Thanks for the info, I have a lot of our animals running around is there a way to make the cameras not detect or alert about them?
Yes
ring batteries about 30 days on a charge.
switched from blink to ring, it's 1000 times better than blink, you couldn't PAY ME to go back to blink
