- This beautiful old farm house was built in the late 1800’s around 1884. Stayed in the original family for nearly 100 years. This was a very incredible old place with all the stuff left behind felt like stepping back into a time capsule. Loved the staircase and fireplace. Tons of cool old antique furniture in this one as well. Really cool bedroom furniture set upstairs that I would guess is from the early 1900’s. Looked very Art Deco! Thank you for watching! Hope you enjoy!

I love how so many of your videos open up with the sounds of birds chirping. My mind wanders back to a happy and prosperous time, when people lived there and the homes were full of life. I can imagine people sitting outside, family parties, drinking iced tea late in the evening while listening to the radio or family holidays around the table!
Thank you for preserving these once grand ladies and giving them a last dance! ❤
How eloquently put!
Very well said!! Thank you very much for the kind words and watching!! :)
Way back before television was invented & the old tube wireless had to warm up before it would tune in.
Would love to see back in time the original family and the house all alive.🌸✨🌞🌷
Kappy, don't ever allow it to be said that you're not one of the bravest individuals in the world after witnessing you climbing the rickety old ladder leading up into the attic. You definitely give 100% of your efforts to get the very best videos and the stories behind them. Thanks very much my friend for sharing these videos with us.
That light, those birds singing, that architecture… absolute magic ✨
Man I love houses like this one. The quirky layout, the ornate trim. So much charm and character. Just sad to see it left to decay.
I hope for every neglected property shown on this channel there are 10 of them from the 19th and early 20th centuries being saved and loved. I also love the antiques in these homes if these structures can’t be saved, hopefully some of the contents will!
And much of the interior architecture needs to be salvaged; doors, moulding, stair rails, mantels, ect
Agree with architectural salvage and furniture salvage. Most of these homes are in undesirable locations or too far gone to save. I don’t think people realize how expensive it is to live in much less save and remodel these homes. My grandmothers home from 1880 was burned down by the fire department. We let them use it for practice burn which they were really greatful for. After we made $50,000 worth of safety modifications for them to torch the place. Just imagine how much to bring it up to code!
@@CK-tz8ek gotta have very deep pockets for that. But nothing wrong with salvaging some of that stuff and putting it into a home in better shape.
Unfortunately it takes so much time and effort , not to mention the money.
Thank you for showing us the houses. It breaks my heart to see these beautiful old houses fall into ruin.
I have the exact same blue suitcase from my childhood - my grandmother bought it for me as a gift. I felt sooo sophisticated the very few times I packed it to spend an overnight somewhere. Now I use it to store my wedding dress from 40 years ago. Thank you for the video and the walk down memory lane!
I would love to live in a farmhouse such as this and hearing the birds singing. A lovely home.
Beautiful house! But for some reason it makes me feel sad. Could be because it has things in it that remind me of my childhood and family long gone. Wallpapers are beautiful! I knew you’d open that freezer and your reaction was just what it should’ve been! Old freezers are never good to open but we do it anyway…just in case! From the outside it has an Andrew Wyeth vibe which I loved! Stay safe, and hi to Ruby!
Can only imagine how beautiful it was ❤
Love your content - you let the camera talk as you alone narrate- very peaceful & great homes!!!!
Awww what a shame this beautiful place wasn’t preserved! It’s so pretty and peaceful.
Wow it’s cool that old trunk still has the insert inside, I have a trunk exactly like that in my living room , i refinished it and use it for a table ! Wow what a cool place!
I have one that belonged to my great grandparents. They brought it from Switzerland when they immigrated here in 1890. Then my grandma had it, then my mom and now me. Inside is exactly the same but the top is domed. You can tell it was handmade.
Dude, I sit here and talk to you and answer your comments constantly as if I'm with you lol. I love that you check the pianos!!! I would love to find someone who would go with me and explore the way you and Ruby do. Hi to her for me.
I think its beautiful 🦋 but I find beauty in old damaged things, especially old dead trees idky but they're amazing to me.
What a beautiful home that was in its day. I love the old wallpaper, the door knobs, trunk and the piano. Beautiful view!
This house was gorgeous, it reminds me of i place I lived in.
Agree *amazing* views from every window. The attic view of the roof structure shows how well built that is - solid like a rock. Just want to get in there and sweep out all the debris, leaving the countryside breeze to blow through 😊😉 Thank you for another adventure 👍💯
That is a very fascinating old place. Thank you for giving us a tour! There is so many photo opportunities in there!😅 That piece of furniture you thought some sort of hospital bed is actually a chaise lounge meant for relaxing on the porch. I would love to have one! Wonderful to see the old bedroom outfit upstairs, but sad to see no one wanted it.
How nice to have my morning coffee and get to explore with you!!!! Should have kept that snake skin!
Excellent video, your work is appreciated! Thanks Kappy!
Thank you very much for watching! :)
Wow! The woodwork & the old original wall paper patches are beautiful!! What a find!! And what a neat location/views ! That wrap around porch must have been grand in it’s day!
Thank you very much for watching!! Yes I would’ve loved too seen it with the wraparound porch before it collapsed!
I believe if the foundation of an old house is in good shape it will last another hundred years so please I thank you for fixing up old buildings like the old convent building thanks for doing that and the house in Virginia fix that too don't tear it down
I would have LOVED to see this house back in the day! I like how it looks and feels. It gives off good vibes. Would have loved to live here. Thanks for showing it to us!
My favorite by far. It just seemed so livable. I could feel the love in that house.
I couldn't help noticing all of the heart pine doors in this house. I'm surprised it hasn't burned. Thanks for another great video Kappy.
I Hope in this show every Historical and Beautiful Abandon House , Castel , Manson and Abbey Filmed in
Thee attic is amazing.
Wow what an amazing place!!!!! I would have been in absolute heaven living there. Such a dang shame that people would rather put their money into new construction rather than fix these amazing homes. So sad....😥 another great find kappy!!!! 👏
Great house. I love the ones with big rooms and lots of windows. Not in the best condition but definitely not the worst, either. Barn swallows instead of turkey vultures, that's a plus for you. Thanks, Kappy
Thank you very much for watching and the kind words! Agreed! I’ll take barn swallows over vultures any day!
Can u imagine what this looked like new? My favorite house type, country farmhouse. I’ve never seen one that wasn’t beautiful, never. Love your channel so keep up the good wk, you’re appreciated!!!!
What a place!! In my mind's eye, I can see them all in there prime! Thanks, Kappy!! On to the next!!
Now that's one fancy antique birdhouse LOL thanks for the walk-through, was a very nice house at one time 🙂
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
I once had an offer to have an old house from the 1860's for free here in Florida but they said I had to tear it down so I accepted the offer and used a lot of the beautiful old pine wood and beams plus cypress paneling in another old house I bought that used to be an old slave quarters that was a log cabin at one time. Also a beautiful mirrored mantle from the 1920's was in that old house. I still live here to this day.
The mortise lock and handles on that front door must have been nice. Yup. Corinthian and egg and dart along the top. You can still see how beautiful she was.
What a nicely designed house and loved the attic as well as the kitchen. The bedrooms were great with all the windows. Anna In Ohio
Imagine how proud the house stood and the love flowed through it memories cherished! What stories it could tell u!🤔❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I love your videos Kappy your the best.
Too kind! Thank you very much for watching! :)
Few minutes in and I see chipping lead paint everywhere... hope you take precautions.
was a really nice place once upon a time.
Thanks so much for this, the house really should be saved
Please Be Safe, Kappy ( re 16:37 ): Does not look like much on the outside, now inside, wow... Great find, thank you....
Stunning house!! So Sad it’s beyond restoring 😢
Thanks Kappy, it was a beautiful in it’s day with the lovely wallpaper & lots of windows showing the view of the countryside 🌹🌸 ❤️the Layout 🌻
I love this one, especially the staircase and parlor area with pocket doors. I desperately wish I had the money to save her.
This looks just like the house in my repeated dreams. Only the curtains blowing out the windows as the wind blows through.
I would absolutely buy that house and turn it back into its true beauty as it was in the day it was built
Wonder where the outbuildings went, and what they grew in the fields. What a nice, airy house. The mantle in the parlor was beautiful-oak?-and those are Corinthian capitals on the supports. The newel post, woodwork., doors, and hardware...things aren't nearly as nice now! Thanks, Kappy, and hi to Ruby! 🐿️
Yeah I was curious about that too! Not much around the house besides farm fields! From what I could tell the fields hadn’t been tilled this year. Thank you for watching! :)
So much wonder. Must have been really something living in such a grand house among all that beauty.🌞
Many a soul rested there after tending corn 🌽 soybean and sunflower 🌻 fields and probably a half acre garden too.
As a farm kid, l can appreciate that! 🌿
That trunk is a treasure itself.
What an old beauty! Beautiful details with the hand carved newl post and the ornate door knobs. It would take alot of money to restore that gorgeous old house! I bet the wrap around porch was great! Thanks Kappy!
In l-o-v-e with this house and with your panoramic camera angles! It makes us feel like we're standing there too. ♡
Too kind! Thank you very much for watching! :)
Our boy has a hard on for door knobs. I love it
You always do an awesome job. Looking at these old rooms and at the kitchen. I can almost hear the children laughing and running up and down the stairs back in the day or smelling the food cooking in the kitchen. Thank you so much for sharing.
Ty again for share injoy watching video
Oh Look at the old lighting rod on the Gable ! Cool!
What a great find. It’s so sad that familes walked away from these beautiful old homes
My grandmother was from that area! So much light in that beautiful house it must have been amazing in its day!
Absolutely Stunning!!!! I wish people would rehab old homes like that. Such a Beautiful piece of history.
Wonderful time capsule Kappy. I imagine it with its huge gallery giving it a crazy charm.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing 👍🙂👍
Thanks for sharing this house. It looks like it was owned by a very nice family who took care of their house. Some beautiful things in the house.
I looove snakes. Wasps, not so much. Cool place. Thank you for pausing on the wallpaper patterns. They're kinda fascinating.

Those doorknobs are beautiful
What a fantastic house that must have been in its day. Built with so many interesting room shapes and that attic was huge! The views were wonderful.
Another beautiful home Kappy! The woodwork is amazing. It’s sad to see old photos left behind, it seems they’re leaving family behind. Thanks Kappy! You never disappoint us. 😊
Thank you very much for watching and the kind words! :)
Hello Melissa how are you doing?
Love old houses like this.
This house seems like a time capsule with so many personal belongings left behind. I wonder what thier story was and why things were left behind. Love these old houses and thier architecture. Thanks
Love this house ..wish someone would save it...bet she was a beauty in her day!! Thanks for sharing
entry way is awesome. Love all the light that comes into the rooms, big windows. Love the view from the windows. If only it was all brand new again.
What a shame... I would love to save some of that old art deco furniture!🥺
Especially the vanity and the bed frame. Crazy a picture from the 1940s...of I would assume the owner of that bedroom was still in there!!!😮
And even though you didn't open the dresser drawer in that bedroom..... I saw what looked like an old box of stockings in there. This is the kind of stuff that's great about going in old houses..... Even though the people are long gone you can still learn a lot about who they were, the things they loved, and what they were about! 😌♥️👏💯
Happen to *love the lay- out of this once charming and handsome place. Seems too far gone to be resurrected, but lots of pieces and parts that could and should be recycled, cleaned-up, and loved elsewhere. Love the scale of both the downstairs rooms, as well as the bedrooms. Again, beautiful property. A very cool, but I believe - concluded structure. Thank you, Kappy.
I'm picturing it completely restored to it's original glory. The woodwork, plaster walls and ceilings, wallpapers, etc. Even the original kitchen cabinets. What a gold mine for restoration. Thanks for filming this. It must have been scary in some aspects.
This place probably would have been gorgeous back in its day. I find it amazing all the furniture and wood work is still there. Have a great day
Another beautiful home !!! I don’t understand why family doesn’t clean it out and what about the furniture????? So sad it just sits there deteriorating …. The stuff in the suitcase could mean something to somebody!!!!!! Thanks Kappy !!! You do an amazing job with your videos !!!!!
Thank you for showing!!!❤
Really a treat. We live in a Victorian house that was build around the same time. Our doors look the same like the one in this old beauty. They must be original.
Such a time capsule. Especially the photos upstairs.
Piano ,still standing. Love the staircase. By the way I am catching up, binge watching.
Hi Kappy! Love, love, love to look at these old places with you. Have loved old and/or abandoned houses since I was a child and the interest never left - so thank you. Found out this week there is an Antique Doorknob Collectors of America! I too a look at their site - way too cool! Say hello to Ruby!
I’ll have too take a look as well! Love old door knobs! Thank you very much for watching! Haha will do! :)
You are not alone in your interest in old and abandoned houses. Sometimes on shows like "Home Town," I prefer how the big old houses look before they fix them up. I'm an old soul I guess.
Beautiful old house!! I absolutely loved the beautiful wood main staircase!! I enjoy your videos!!❤️
Very nice old house. Just love these houses. They are built so nicely. Might be a wasps nest in the house somewhere. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
For 30 years empty this house is in relatively good shape.
That snake skin may explain why the house is not as torn apart as you would expect.
This house was well made, it is still able to be saved.
The newspaper that he zoomed in on said 1999, which doesn’t of course mean that the house was abandoned that year. However, it can’t be 30 years since it was abandoned according to the 1999 newspaper.
On Newell posts like that you should see if the top lifts off… people used to hide stuff in there 😉
From a distance it looks maybe like a shell, but you found a diamond in plain sight good weather save it! Very nice features to this one as many you run across still may have in existence.✅👍🏡🌳🕶
The Daily Times was a newspaper published in Salsbury, Maryland in the DelMarVa region (Delaware,Maryland,Virginia) also called the Eastern Shore. There are many old abandoned homes along that corridor which was more active in the 1800's with shipping and rail service that brought goods along the east coast from the south to northern cities before interstates and air cargo.
Check the Pungo area of Virginia Beach. Lots of stuff out there.
Oooh. The trunk, the chandelier. I'd scream and run if I saw a snake. That stairway is beautiful. That fireplace, I'm speechless. I loved that pink wallpaper. That attic is gorgeous.
Too bad that it’s falling apart I can only imagine what it once looked like thank you for showing!❤️
The wood work fantastic!
@@Gypsy839 thank you for watching! :)
So wierd!! you find a freezer by the front door. By the beautiful staircase; I know, by now how much you hate stairs, but that attic was amazing! Thx for sharing!
Awe! The peace and quiet on that property. I would love to know the history of these places. Do you need permission to explore houses like this? Seriously speechless. The doorknobs, fireplace, grand staircase, and the list goes on. Those are all original when the house was built. I love to metal detect and that would be fun to do around that property. Just need permission and give the owners first pick on any treasures found. Always leave the grounds and houses as you found them. It looks like on one of the doors there was a footprint? Like someone tried to kick it in 😢 If you can’t get in the house doesn’t want you to. Absolutely beautiful house!!! Grandma and Grandpa house. Looks like they passed away in there with that hospital bed. Just speculation, but that’s the fun of the search and exploration. I live in Middle of nowhere Tennessee and we have a lot of these houses decaying. I always want to go explore but I’m to nervous to go alone especially this day and age. I guess that’s why I love abandoned house exploration videos so much. It takes me back to a time and place forgotten but was so perfect. Thanks for the video. It can’t be easy doing this! Lots of love ❤️
I live in middle TN as well and I haven't found any old abandoned houses. I wish I could I would definitely explore them. If there were things inside or it was restoreable I would find out who owns it now and go from there.
@@rebeccasciutto2722 👋 Hello Neighbor ❤️
@@rebeccasciutto2722 Go on Highway 99 between Eagleville and Murfreesboro. Between North Road and Mt Vernon Road on the south side of 99 there is a large old white house set back with a long driveway. I always wanted to check it out.
You are so lucky!Maybe get a neighbor to go with you exploring ang documenting their existence before they fade into oblivion.
@@rebeccasciutto2722 I live in Battle Creek MI and only 3 houses on my block are NOT abandoned. If you're going to drive to an abandoned house you could find hundreds here.
It is so amazing to me how do people leave a house leaving their furniture, clothes and photographs and cups and plates on a table. It's so sad actualy. If these old magnificent homes could " talk " !!! Thank you for this video. Love from South Africa 😘🇿🇦
Beautiful house. Thanks for sharing.
That house has great bones and amazing views! What a find. Thanks!
KAPPY you did a great job with the wall paper and your stills were wonderful. I look forward to your videos every week! Keep exploring!!
Thankyou so much for showing us.
Thanks for Sharing this
Thanks for sharing and the stories the house could tell you
happiness. A beautiful old house.
I would’ve been scared to open that trunk! The land is so open and beautiful
A very awesome place! Thanks Kappy 🤗🙋
Beautiful features in this old home. The views! You captured its charms very well, as usual.
I admit that I was on alert since the snake skin…yikes! It was a lucky snake to live there though!
Well said! Not a bad place too live for a snake lol just glad we didn’t run into each! Thanks for watching! :)
You found a real treasure Kappy!! Aside from the contempory junk laying around, the true beauty of this wonderful old house is awesome! The hardware, pocket doors, etc.,just picturing it all when new, just imagine! Thanks for showing this walk thru history, sad to think it will one day be just a memory.
Thank you very much for watching and the kind words!! :)
