Thank you so much! This video was really helpful…I’ve been putting off garageband because I found reaper way simpler but I’m so excited to try this! Thank you Sara!❤️
Hi there! There is the second video of yours I came across and I want to say, I honestly appreciate the quick and efficient information you give to us. I love that it's to the point and you show and explain everything. Thank you. I am so new to learning how to record vocals on Garageband and your videos are helping me navigate. Thank you!
I'm not the best singer but some people like my voice! Having tried all the presets I was let down even with my best vocal effort. I have an old cassette of me singing that sounds really good in comparison (cant remember what mic/effects were used) so this REALLY helps! You're very kind young lady Thank you!
Thank you so much. I haven’t used these settings for a new recording yet ( can’t wait) but I applied the setting to the vocals on some of my recent new songs. My oh my what a difference gave me goosebumps. Thank you so much.
For all the content creator Ive been searching, u have the most simplest and yet excellent tutorial I watched. Thank u so much and I am using it now! Love it. Please make more simple videos like this! ❤❤❤
After tons of videos trying to sell me there crappy plugins. I landed on your video and henceforth those are my compression setting for life. Thank you dear sir. Tips hat.
I just started to switch to garageband from audacity, and am struggling to figure out how to do the settings. Your video is a big help. Thank you so much🎉
Great video and really easy to follow. Your voice sounds great with really nice reverb. I did the same presets and for some reason I don’t here the same reverb. Am I doing something wrong? I double checked and it’s the same settings. Any suggestions?
nice video s Sara. I subscribed. are the settings you showed onscreen the exact ones you use? they are a lot different then the preset ones if you don't tweak them
Thank you so much! I have been looking for a video like yours for weeks! I just deleted autotune because this is genius! Thank you thank you thank you!
Hi Sara awesome video. Can you please tell me what the vocal 'Preset was' before you changed it to "Best Vocal Sound On Garageband'?What was it called before you renamed it? Was it 'Classic Vocal' 'Natural Vocal' 'Narration Vocal' etc?. Thanks SO much glad to sub to your channel awesome voice!
Yes that's why I bought one, GB is not available on PC though only Macs! Also once you learn this ,you can do amazing things with it, don't let your local music shop tell you to move up to Logic(at least for a few years).
My question and concern. Is not everyone’s vocals are the same. I can’t sing and I am going to try. I may need little bit more reverb I may need a little bit more compression , I may need a little bit more bsss then someone else,
You had me on...."its not going to be anything long guys"..:)...BTW, your video came up when i searched for "How to edit in Garage Band"...your other video..Thank you..i am going to blindly follow those settings..just curious if that sounded best for your set up or if you experimented and got it
@@SaraBernes i finally "performed" and the sound was magically much better and cleaner. It's a wonder your self-admitted non-technical and experimental based approach trumped all the gurus whom I can't understand..."just make me sound better" and u did! Thx
An XLR is what professionals use to get a better signal and recording quality (in comparison to mics using a USB connector). Condenser mics can be cheap or expensive, go for the best you can afford.
@@SaraBernes I’m still learning little by little, and I’m glad that I ran into this video, from now on you have a follower and a fan straight from Puerto Rico:)

You should have said settling for what purpose or thrown a 5 second intro video of your work. Are you a singer, podcsster, streamer?
Thanks again for this tutorial video i like it.

Thanks, how did you get the compressor to the top, and why is that important?

There is no PlatinumVerb on my list. Please advise.
oh? Maybe they have changed it.. let me look into it.
PaltimumVerb should be in there scroll down and to the right it comes with Garageband.
Cool thanks hope u have a good day 🙂

Good question, I am not sure.
Very helpful. THANK YOU!
You are very welcome, are you a cover song artist or singer songwriter ? :)
Great video!!! Do you have any recommendations for instrumentalists?
Hi! Sorry for the late reply, yes I use SingtoPiano.. I think they are great and easy to buy instrumentals from.

you are very welcome. Is there anything else, garageband wise, I can help you with?
