    This was a goldmine of perspectives ! I loved this interview. The spiritual aspect is interwoven and explains the yogic vedantic way of life. Plant based for ethics, for health, for the environment, and for spiritual progress.. thank you so much..especially spending this time with him when too many people just watch "shorts." ❤

      Yeah no doubt I had to drive so far to do this though man. All of these interviews are such a rush. I hope to start taking my time with them more though like this and doing the cooking thing. Moving forward I plan on doing interviews much different. But I still have so much to release that I've already shot that it may take a while before you start seeing that type of content. So glad you like it! The whole thing was 5 hours and 15 minutes long I took out like an hour and a half of it

      Ooo - 1.5 hour interview with a 1/2 hour cooking part to relax and bring reality and perspective to it. You got a setup going! I loved when he got you to see new foods and smell and taste it. So glad others are helping me over there doing my work for me lol.
      I see what you're saying that when you drive so long you take your time, but have little time to do so in the end. At least you get to go over it in length what you miss when editing!
      Peace of mind for a channel sounds beautiful :) I'm there with you in those drives - we all are.@@VeganLinked

    43:11 I agree - disconnecting oneself from who one is is how we get detachment from nature that leads to violence against it. While violence is inherent within our nature, I do believe it's not within us to be violent, but because we have reasoning and a brain and we're pushed and conditioned for most if not all of it. Then again, we can condition ourselves not to be violent too - but that's different. People naturally have an aversion to violence and harm - otherwise no one and nothing can survive. Once we go past that - and it is within our nature to discount and mentally shield it - then we become it. So to reconnect with being alive - via veganism, etc. is how we can live and see a thriving world.

    22:59 dealing with oneself is key to survival. Agreed. Avoiding relying on animals for our survival is a step in the right direction. I believe in going further - to plants too. However, not fully with plants - because eating them is key to their survival too - so we have a responsibility to meet.

    18:45 love to me is care - so we can choose who we care and what we care. There's different types and levels of care. Some say you can care for someone and not love them. I say that's not true - you do love someone at a certain extent if you are caring for them.

    This was one of the most wonderful videos of veganism that I have ever seen. As I was watching this, I thought of 2 Corinthians 13:5-8 which tells us, “Examine yourselves to see whether you are faithful to God; test yourselves and don’t do anything against the truth, for God is truth, and therefore you must do things for the truth."
    Only those who forsake the truth could ever harm God's creations. Far too many human beings replace the truth with human ideas that favor human profit, gluttony, greed and gain, and yet all of these human based things are the very things that are killing the entire natural world, so where is the sense in it? In truth, humans who do these things have no sense at all.

    5:33 that's what I'm talking about - everyone should have a personal website! Then we can all share what we know to the world. I just checked out his website. If he replaced matcha with barley grass powder - he wouldn't need a b12 supplement. Also beneficial is to avoid mixing bananas and chocolate together. Bananas inhibit the antioxidants of cacao. Raw, soft foods diet is the way to go - so he's living it! All that's left is for him to garden lol.

    16:29 I agree that current definitions of love and veganism don't encapsulate what it looks like in practicality. So I agree about not being restricted by semantics.

    • @richaramela
      @richaramela 3 місяці тому +1

      @@VeganLinkedfound it. You are right. It's on the website. His smoothies are quite heavy duty and have a whole lot of things. Why do you find his way of eating unusual? He seems to be following a very healthy mostly raw plant based diet.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 місяці тому +1

      well, the frequency, the overall amount, so many smoothies, it's cool, and maybe something I would like to try in a way. I haven't really analyzed it to be fair. But, from what I recall it wasn't like what most vegans I know. Later in the year I hope to get more into what vegans are actually doing in the kitchen. That should be really helpful. For the most part, most of us eat legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices and a variety of each. I think he may be doing this, so perhaps it's not too far off the wfpb vegan norm. It's really hard to put into words quick here. In short, I rarely do smoothies, it's good to chew ;) and I do a lot of raw but I cook my legumes and grains and lots of my veggies. Some things are more nutritious cooked, like carrots, tomatoes, and something probably are better/safer cooked like some cruciferous and mushrooms... And he eats all throughout the day and night, maybe that's why he does smoothies. I just eat within a small window of time. In theory it's good to get a metabolic break/fast. But, it's all good. As long as his sleep is good (which I probably should ask him) and his bowel movements he's probably fine I suppose. He may be moving near me in which case I would be able to do a follow up with him and maybe even do some meal prep videos with him... maybe @@richaramela

    Is 'God'the word he is searching for? It is said that God is Love, and Truth, and One-ness.
    And Perfection as well.
    Unstable things (like our bodies) are not illusionary, though, just transient- because of their imperfection.
