    It’s so difficult being in a world where most humans are dedicated to hurting the most innocent, gentle beings. Then I see beautiful, inspiring people like yourself and my soul feels lifted again 💗 Thank you for sharing your feelings about everything that matters, precious Vegan brother. I became Vegan in 2012 when I saw the documentary Earthlings, but I have also seen Gary’s speech..WOW!! It is the best speech we will ever hear! I would play it on public transport so people can hear it, and yes I did receive negative responses, people don’t want to hear the truth when it doesn’t suit them.
    I’m not a healthy Vegan, but I’m eating more fruit these days, especially now that it’s summer, luv the tropical fruits. Listening to you is inspiring me to be kinder to my body. Thank you for this great video! Every day I hope more and more people wake up and start living Vegan! My only wish, is for every innocent being to be safe from harm and their rights for their body autonomy and their life is written in the law and put into effect! The law should protect every sentient creature.
    Justice and Equality for all!
    Much love and respect 🙌💗💚

    My wife of almost 49 years put us on a vegan diet last October 10th. We threw away every animal food in the house. She has lost 14 pounds and several inches off her waist. I have lost 28 pounds and my pants are way too big! William is right about everything he says. Amazing video. Thanks for sharing.

      @@mjjcollectables Congrats to you, too. As for your family, well, you'll never convince them. It's like an addiction, and they'll have to hit bottom before they can change. For now, they're held by the grip of those cheesy pizza and burger commercials on TV. They're deeply immersed in the American culture of factory farms, constant mass murder, and the flow of animal "products" onto store shelves and onto restaurant menus. It's a cult that won't stop until the oil runs out and forces the inevitable.

    He looks great at 58. Very inspiring. I am 52, been vegan on and off over the past two years, but am sticking to it over the past couple months. I was 223, now down to 191 lbs, looking better every day and feeling content and happy. I fall right to sleep at night (didn't used to) and I sleep soundly, not getting up all night to go to the bathroom either. I feel like I am returning to the days of my youth. I can tell William is passionate about the vegan lifestyle. He has a lot of energy when talking about it. He's like an apostle of veganism, spreading the good news.

    • @VeganLinked

      How can you be vegan on and off? Do you mean plant based? Because once you go vegan it seems impossible to go back to having animals needlessly abused and slaughtered so you can needlessly ingest their body parts, organs and secretions. It is easy to be vegan. Someone said it was hard recently, I was like it can't be nearly as hard as it is for the animal. ❤ hope you don't mind me being candid :) best wishes, sounds like you're at least heading in the right direction. I say I went vegan in 2011. But I had been priming myself up toward it since the early 90's. It's a transitional thing usually and like all addictions relapse is inevitable in the beginning. But once you're "vegan" you know so much that there is no going back. You can't unknow the cruelty behind animal agriculture. What did it for me was Gary Yourofsky's "Best Speech You Will Ever Hear".

    What a joyful guy - what's not to love. As a fellow Ashevillian - I get to experience those LOVE signs everywhere with much gratitude. One thing William did not speak to but I AM sure he could - is the correlation between plant based diet and NO MEDICATIONS!! We are the same age and I have never been on any type of medication, though most humans and family I know around my age, it is just matter of fact for Western Medicine to proscribe certain "preventative" medications because of the age you are! I have not even had OTC or antibiotics for over 30 years. I am a yoga teacher and run trails in Asheville at the same level I have for 30 years. I also advocate the use of medicinal mushrooms, which have been a part of my daily diet for over a decade! I seem to be the same frequency as Lions Mane as I find them ALL the time ~ along with Turkey Tail and Chicken in the Woods, Reishi, etc. Plant Based, Vegan, love the earth love yourself Lifestyle IS a joyful reality. As a teacher of Consciousness and Energy - the closer we attune to and move with the Earth Mother, her cycles, her abundance, her medicine and her meditation, the more in sync we will be and feel with ALL life. I AM grateful for this channel and for a fellow LOVER OF LIFE, joyfully sharing his light and the truths that he follows. Thank you William and Vegan Linked. LOVE STRONG!! 🙏🏽

    His story sounds almost exactly like mine. Although I didn't start in 84, i agree with everything he says.
    Food addiction is real, it is not acknowledged much as an addiction issue, but that's exactly what it is.
    You will go thru withdrawal if you have been eating a standard American diet, you will have intense cravings, you probably will cave in to them, but, once you get through that, you will feel like a completely new, vibrant, person.

    The proof is in the results you don’t even have to argue with people and mean you think you have to be well educated and it would be good for you to be educated only if for yourself. But you don’t have to take up every war that is presented to you and you don’t have to convince anybody that what you’re doing is the best way you just simply have to be the living example and when they’re ready there’s no denying what they see. You’re 58 years old I’m 53 I’m not perfect I’ve been living in my car for 5 1/2 years but I do not eat animals and I haven’t for 15 years which is nothing compared to the journey that you’ve had but just looking at you it’s so obvious you’re beautiful you’re aging very gracefully and that’s not accidental. It is your intention it is what you do with the life that you have which does not come at the expense of another and that is quite an admirable trait. Your hair looks amazing it is shiny and your skin is shiny and hot it’s not sagging or wrinkly you don’t have bags under your eyes you don’t have black circles around your eyes your skin looks phenomenal on the other parts of your body it is evident that you were healthy you don’t have to preach it you don’t have to make excuses for other people either I mean yes you were supposed to wake up at that particular time and thank goodness you did because can you imagine what the aging process would’ve done to him and I am 53 but it 39 is when I got my calling to change my life and it was for various reasons it wasn’t even about the animals it was about the way that I felt but when you start traveling in the circles you start to learn some horrific things that really disturb you. In my case it destroyed my ability to sleep to be kind to myself I was very angry with when I had participated and I was projecting that onto others I became very militant and now I don’t argue with people but if you ask me for help please don’t waste my time that’s all I ask don’t have me give you everything I have compiled over the last 15 years in research and study for my own personal reasons as well as my own experimentations. It’s insulting.
    I am not here to teach anybody anything I’m here to be the living example of what it could be like to live a life well lived it doesn’t harm anyone else and I definitely don’t have all the answers but I most certainly know that I am comfortable in my own skin and I can sleep well at night as a result of making better choices that affect not only myself but other sentient beings and that gives me a great sense of comfort as well as purpose. And I know so many people right now are struggling because they don’t have a purpose or they don’t know what their purposes. Your presence alone is a gift and there’s no time like now. So if we want to make our lives better and world around us a better place means we have to put the work in in our lives and everything will spill over from there isn’t a beautiful?
    And I’m sure William isn’t going to read all these comments but it’s pretty entertaining to hear that he actually lives in the Asheville area because I’m in North Carolina as well I am in Indian Trail Matthews area which is a good distance from Asheville but I’ve been to Asheville a couple of times and I really do enjoy it I just think it’s overpriced and of course the homeless epidemic there is really heart wrenching but then I live in my car so I know what that’s about. It’s a revolution and a movement toward something better and community is really important. That’s something I hope Asheville starts to work on because these people living on the street might have more hope and will to live if they weren’t putting all these poisons in their body which may or may not be offered to them for free and if they are fasting not by choice that’s a good thing but I know some people here who choose to take the money that they receive every month and put it into drinking and they’d rather do that and live in a tent which I don’t understand but I think it’s a psychological thing because that person that I’m speaking of in specific is 65 years old and he really likes the companionship that comes with drinking but it isn’t necessary I mean you can find in circles and you can find kind people without having to booze it up and that’s not me judging that’s me pointing out that no matter where he moves because he thinks going to a warmer climate will be better for him he could do everything that he wishes to do here without having to go there.
    Part of what I’m going to be investing my self in the next year is going to carpentry classes because I’d really like to learn how to build. And then doing that after I finish my first six months I’ll go back for the more advanced class and do another six months and hopefully I’ll be able to put together a tiny home for myself and just maybe help address some of the concerns that we’re having with homelessness here at first I have to start with improving my life and that’s where we start from whether it’s the diet that you consume or the way that you live your life or the way that you think are the people you surround yourself with it always begins with you and your awareness that something needs to change and there certainly is more and you are entitled to better sit with my making that choice and commitment you can have whatever it is you desire don’t let it be at someone else’s expense

    Have you heard of Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine ( PCRM)? ( I expect you have) they have a you tube channel and do regular vids, all plant based Doctors. They mentioned on a recent vid that a Hospital in the US had created a plant based treatment section. Great news. It won’t be long before the results they get will cause the other Hospitals to follow, then Insurance companies will see their customers recovering fast and at a fraction of the cost! ✊🏽🌎🌻Btw you went Vegan 1 year before me, but I’m catching up, lol.

    • @TheLoveSignGuy
      @TheLoveSignGuy 3 роки тому +4

      Yes, back in the 80's I didn't use the word vegan. I was strict vegetarian. I didn't like using the word, strict. It sounded mean spirited and unfair. Consistant and dedicated are way better decriptions.
      Other than a few of my animal rights friends, I was very alone in my early vegan years. My roommate Tim was also vegan and that helped a lot. We both worked in the natural foods industry. In North Miami beach, I co-owned a Vegan Cafe called Miami Juice in the early 90"s. Other than one Jamacan vegan cafe, I think I was the only 100% vegan business in South Florida. I remember Michael Stipes and REM coming all the time for lunch while they were in town recording. ah, the good ol days.
      And with all due respect, your, "It didn't happen to me so it probably isn't true" is not a good way to truth. Research and being able to use knowlegeble judgement and decernment are great tools on a path to truth and wisdom .I do stop occasionally in amazement that it's been many years consistantly on this compassionate and loving diet.
      I hope this helps and answers any questions about me being vegan back in the rocking 80's.
      Blessings to you.

      You obviously weren't everywhere omnipresent all the time. Surely you don't think you heard everything or you've heard of everything even still to this day. But imagine how hard it would have been without the Internet like being able to have this conversation on a phone under a video on UA-cam. Look into the natural hygiene movement that is now the national health association. I will be posting a video on it soon in the next couple of weeks probably I've already got it edited. The movement started in the late 1800s. The man in my interview is 7 years old and vegan from birth. I even know people who have been raised vegan from birth from the early 80s whose parents were vegan. Dr Klaper was vegan 40 years ago working with the Phoenix family when they went vegan. Surely you don't think Joaquin Phoenix is an illusion... I mean he was amazing in the Joker. But he isn't joking when he goes to vigils in LA.

    human beings are omivors, so we don´t need to live the life of a grass-fed beef; also tried to live the way you live with the result, that I lost lots of hair; starting to eat butter, eggs and neat again they came back and kook, they are made out of creatine, so grass can´t nourish hair for example but collagen does

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 роки тому

      A healthy body will make everything it needs. Depending on another animal may be dangerous since it could lead to chronic diseases. Losing hair could mean many things like anemia, thyroid, detoxing, etc... obviously people don't magically know how to eat (since you weren't raised on a whole food vegan diet) to switching and knowing how. If you were detoxing then your hair would have grown back. Anemia, thyroid, etc could be fixed with proper diet adjustments. Ultimately you should see a plant based doctor. Did you consult with a lifestyle medicine physician when you thought you were having problems or did you just self diagnose and essentially relapse? Placebo is one thing but self diagnosing is another. And going to a meat eating doctor is yet another way to get in the wrong direction fast. Sure, it may feel good now, same thing addicts say though. My recent upload of Dr Klaper touches on this powerfully when he talks about some reasons why people quit.

      The occasional supplement may be great insurance for a multitude of reasons. As long as it isn't calcium, beta carotene, folic acid, vitamin E, etc... A low dose of some though like zinc, iodine, DHA, etc may be fine. It really depends on overall lifestyle.

    This guy is close because he doesn’t quite get it. Human beings are frugivores and designed to eat a diet of raw fruits and vegetables. Go raw vegan and you’ll see the benefits increase exponentially from a cooked vegan diet. Read 801010 by Doug Graham and go watch John Rose’s channel. Going vegan is a great first step but there’s so much more to be gained from going raw vegan. It’s an inconvenient truth but a truth nonetheless: cooking our food damages and denatures the food which damages us. Acrylamides, advance glycation products, etc…there’s a long list of dangerous byproducts of cooking our food. If you thinks this sound like extreme bullshit and you don’t believe, just give it a try for a month. You may feel rough at first from the detox that will occur but eventually you will feel amazing. I’ve been cooked vegan and raw vegan and there is no comparison. Your mental/physical and vitality will improve far beyond where it is on a cooked vegan diet. Educate yourself and give it a try. You won’t be sorry.

    • @VeganLinked
      @VeganLinked  3 роки тому

      Some foods are more nutrient dense cooked. We get it, raw is awesome. But it's not very practical for most lifestyles. I've got a video to finish this series with of a 70 year old vegan from birth who was raw first 32. He started eating raw because of traveling and since then feels most satiated with at least one meal cooked.
