Special thanks to the Chawla's for letting me use their place to shoot this. I was sooo tired when I did this interview. I had been traveling 3 weeks 18 hours from home and was up until 3 am trying to fix a corrupt file and had to be up super early to get to this location to shoot a handful of interviews all day. This was the last one on that run. I think if it would have been anyone else I would have fallen asleep I was so tired. But, there's no sleeping around Virginia! I love this lady! :) She has such an awesome community of vegan friends. That run of interviews was such a special trip. An emotional rollercoaster ride too. On to the next one!

What do you mean helped her? She shared that she's feeling better and having less problems but a lot of this is conjecture as to the reason why and she also shared how it's matured into her Ikigai. I guess I could have dug in deeper, but I was completely exhausted by this point, maybe even more than any other point in all of these videos I've done. I suppose if there was something salient worth mentioning she would have. There is a chance I may see her again though so if you have any suggestions on what specifically to ask her about I can try to do that maybe. Veganism is not something necessarily to help you. It's more to help animals. As a result you get helped by living consistently with your ethics. And by not eating animals if you eat the most vegan whole plant foods you might be healthier as a result if you know how to do that properly. But veganism is a philosophy more about others. Humans are animals too though so I like to include them in the equation. But veganism isn't there to help a person beyond helping them philosophically live more in line with their ethics. It just happens to be veganism is also the most sustainable in every way regarding land usage, food production, and health.

She is 83.
