hand tighten filter 1/2 turn once snug. never tighten with tool. 28,000 miles on my mt10 2019 model. best bike ever owned performance is amazing!

@@powerbikesbg I was changing the oil in my mt10 and Yamaha gave my lady oil filters 5gh-13440-71 bike came with 5gh-13440-61 is this a cross reference part number that'll work Yamaha was closed when I was going for a ride early this morning. I'm sitting here because I don't know if this is the correct filter by part number ( Shaking My Head) was just frustrated and I can't get an answer I thought I could see the part number on your oil filter box

@@mototechsam3051 71 is slightly taller by about 3 MM, it's a perfect fit. The difference is miniscule, so the same oil capacity is fine. I had both the 61 & 71 side by side comparison. It's good. I have a 2019 MT10 with some mods, Beast bike!.
