Hi RJ. It comes with home link but my garage door openers weren't compatible with the home link so I had to add a device to my garage door opener to be able to utilize the function.
You still have to give the valet your credit card key. Valet mode just doesn't allow the valet to access certain areas of the vehicle or the navigation.
Hi Kritical. I don't think Im able to lock or disable the car but I can use the app to locate where its location is at all times. That way if its stolen I can the police its location.
Hi Zakary. I do demonstrate the summon in a different video but if the valet mode were to do what i think you're saying that would be a HUGE game changer.
@@teslaownersperspective1968 Yeah I've seen summon and smart summon. But that just takes the car to you. I was hoping for something that can go park itself so you can summon it later. This valet mode isn't as cool as I expected, but it's still a cool feature.
I’m a bit concerned about the security of contents of car when traveling and maybe stopping at a museum, or restaurant and car is out of sight. So valet mode locks frunk, which is good, but frunk can be broken into rather easily from a cable underneath the frunk ( supposed to be emergency access to 12v battery). Although the truck and assorted under trunk storage can be accessed from the valet driver or cronies via drivers seat, whatever is in the far back trunk can just be taken by opening the door. That leaves the glove box as a place to stash stuff out of sight and not available to thieves without major damage. I carry binoculars in the car and sometimes leave other valuables. When traveling, the car will be fully loaded. In ICE car, lock the doors, everything is secure except the engine compartment. Am I missing something?
@@prairie3668 When its in regular lock mode if someone gets in the car they still can't access those areas because the X won't sense a key in the car and the screen will not allow anyone to access the screen to open those areas of the X.
Learned that Tesla made it so the unlock cable in the frunk only works if the 12 volt battery is dead so frunk is now secure and contents no visible to thieves. BTW my locked ICE car was broken into in my garage via back window and trashed for $3000 worth of repairs. Nothing of value was in the car. It will be more $ if it happens to a Tesla.
Hi Aravind. I haven't checked my email but I will. Mt Kisco is where my Model was delivered to before having it delivered to my house. As soon as I get a chance I'll check my email. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! I know based off watching other videos that there are speed limiters on valet mode but didn’t know they were able to be adjusted to a certain speed! I play Roblox and do this game on Roblox called Greenville and I drive tons of Tesla’s and many other cars and it would be cool to see the Greenville development team add some of these features. I am formerly theanswerone but changed my name to theanmakezcontent and mainly post train videos and while waiting for trains on occasion I see a Tesla go by the spot i spot trains at. I’ll challenge my self whenever I go on a ride to spot all models and sometimes I see all models. But very great channel and keep up the great work. Have a great day!
Hi Theanmakeezcontent. Thanks for sharing that. I wonder how many Tesla's you'll see. That would be fun. Thanks for the great comment and for watching!
@@teslaownersperspective1968 anytime! how does the valet drive the car? do u give them the key card or what?
Please be careful showing your location. (Yes I'm a bit cautious)
Thanks Jim. Someone else just pointed that out. I'll see if I can edit that.
You missed one thing. Do we have to give a card at all
Does the charge port open while in valet mode?
When you say you had homelink installed, was that after you bought it or does the x come with home link
The X comes with homelink installed.
X comes with HomeLink

Nicely done 👍 Thank you!

How does the valet lock the car?
You still have to give the valet your credit card key. Valet mode just doesn't allow the valet to access certain areas of the vehicle or the navigation.
You may not have thought of this, but is it possible to lock or disable the car in a way that it cannot be used, for example if it is stolen?
There is a setting for PIN to start.

Would’ve never guessed you had tats
Hi Andrew. Ive had them for a while. No more tats for me. Im getting too old. 😂
Dang. I thought this was gonna be some cool FSD feature where it'll drop you off and go find a parking spot. Maybe one day.

In an ICE car, anyone can break in and drive off. In a Tesla and maybe most EV's anyone can break in but can't drive without a pin.
