There are also many discrepancies between different versions. In the coolmathgames version, the lore room is actually replaced with the art gallery showing many early versions like baba did

I like the contrast between Talos where graphics and story was better but this simple cat game just has better puzzles with more rewarding moments.

The game actually has a secret ending (although very short, arguably disappointing).
To get it, you need to bring 2 cats to the final screen, and then bring a cat onto the teleporter itself (while avoiding the sparkly dots on the left side).
Yeah, I did that on my own. Though its less of a secret ending and more of an easter egg.

This game reminds me of paquerette where the mechanics are simple but the depth of how they interact goes so deep you keep wondering how one thing works with another
Being able to bring more Steves from one level to the other was definitely a certified Paquerette moment

To add to that, the intro says it's year "20XX, X is approximately equals 20". This makes you think the year is 2020. WRONG! each X is 20, resulting in 20(20)(20). Which is why the signs refer to the events of 201515

Wasn’t too sure about this game after the first 5 step Steve episodes but the puzzle difficulty and depth has increased so much. Such an interesting game now

It's funny hearing tyler say puzzles are impossible because when I played the n step steve trilogy I remember thinking the same thing a lot of the time.

I never leave a comment but broooooooooo this game is sick, u can do so much with so little. Hope more game developers do these kind of games nowadays. Not easy but not annoying either i love it.

This game somehow reminds me "escape from puppy death factory" whenever i hear the dog barking sounds when he rescues a kitten. The game itself is a puzzle-platformer, semi open world(?) puzzle game where your mission is rescuing all the puppys and escape the planet itself. The game is pretty cool overall, i highly recommend you to look at it. Maybe you lave it and play it, maybe you dont. Its up to you.

the parity puzzle in the room at 4:00 is one of my favorite puzzles i've played in any game, it's so clever

n-step steve part 2 is massive, and I still haven't completed it yet. I actually completed part 1 and then forgot it existed because of how long I spent on part 2, then thinking that the title n-step steve (part 2) was in reference to it being a continuation on 5-step steve. I can't wait for the discoveries of n-step steve (part 2) there are some very good moments in that game (also some nice references if you can find them)

There is another way to get the star at 6:57. You can get control of 2 cats, get one underneath the 5 flag at the top right and then simply push the rock right and up with the other cat. The cat under the 5 flag will then be able to push the rock and flag left, standing on that flag will give you enough moves to get to the star.

For real tho these puzzles are so hard, and Tyler seems to go through them so quickly, it's nice to know even he can have trouble. I gave up on part 2 because it was too hard for me tho

Some tips for getting stars:
Go to room 9, 14 and do something (you need to do this to get like 50% of the stars)
Having 2 steves on 2 flags and dying causes them both to respawn along with any dead steves initially in the room.
Dead steves can collect stars
Stars can be pushed with rocks/statues
Standing on 2 wormholes at the same time does something
You should play portal snake. It’s by the same person that did squishcraft
The goat was pretty funny
I really like N-Step Steve's multi layer puzzle design. Alternate solution for a star, harder version of alternate solution for more stars.

You should play My Hero One's Justice 2; it's fun, Mina in particular is infectiously energetic, and the story is somewhat dark, yet the gameplay is simple. Even if you lose, the violent nasty bits are lore-only.
