I play sniper a lot in the middle lane, going from leyend III to divine IV in less than 2 weeks. Sniper shard is so underrated, one of the best skills ever.
@@laurnero8399 I go full stats at the start 10 agility 4 strength. 2 Wraith Bands. 3 Bands sometimes. I mainly play 0-4-4-0 that gives me a lot of physical DMG and distance. Dragon lance is a must. Something that I agree with BSJ is blink dagger, it extends your range from 1200 to 2400, so you can just join the fight at the best moment, for example after void using Chrono or 1st skill. @@ДаниилТемный-ю4ь I got those results when I returned to college in April. So I didn't play a lot. I think that's something important. 3-4 Good matches a day is way better than 8-10 a day. I reached Ancient V before in 2018. I came back to dota in December 2021. Yep I insta first pick sniper when mid. That's a fact too, spamming a hero gives you more opportunities to succeed because you become more proficient. In late game it's all about position. You have to check who in the other team can catch you and how easily and also who is looking always for you. For example an Ogre Magi can reach you but it's not easy for him, you can see him coming, you can dodge his stun with manta or shard. He takes a big risk going for you. Spirit breaker is very similar, he has Q but you have shard, you can just shut him down with that. I can guarantee you that with decent reflexes you can outstand almost any non BKB initiation from the enemies if you have shard plus hurricane, even an spectre can't menace you if you make a good use of your survivability items. So in a few words. Shard and hurricane are your best friends you almost never want to use those ítems offensenly, for sniper due to his insane range, reposition surpasses spell inmunity. And also like BSJ says. BKB denieds your DMG. Playing sniper is playing with the constant idea that they would make efforts on catch you. You have to denied those efforts while trying to hit enemies, so you can take advantage of your partners too. And in the middle game you can denied very commonly those efforts with just a shard and great DMG output, at least on divine bracket. Another way to denied those efforts is with blink dagger in late game. You just hidden yourself until the enemies spends the skills and items that can trouble you. For example if I have insane DMG + blink against void. I just wait for him to either his Q or R and the shut him down of force him to retreat. In conclusion. Sniper needs DMG items, but he needs more a good positioning, you main goal is to never lose your position and to denied enemy efforts to catch you. If you need to buy 4 items to do that then do it.

This will allow the viewer to follow along with this isolated sample scenario and then they would start experimenting with possible situation variations on their own such as what if the opponent was a different hero or had different items, etc.
