Watching your guide since DR PA to TA start giving me whole picture about this type of pos1; farming pattern, itemization, power spike, engage fight timing. Thank a lot BSJ.
Great guide! I'm 3.5k so pinch of salt and all that but a few things to think about: learning to box select / trigger trap is a good habit for when the one you want isn't the closest, as well as disables that prevent the skill from triggering traps. I think of Dragon Lance first as a scared item. Tankiness, range from enemies. Less damage, less farm speed, less kill potential. I like Manta on TA vs silence heroes to preserve BKB and it's just actually a great item. With that if I don't need damage I'll often go run speed (BoTs, Swift Blink) and really lean into that PA playstyle, kiting in / out of fights with movespeed as well as blink. Satanic is another GREAT option, the dispel can be critical and with how much damage she does healing up requires very few attacks. Combos well with hurricane pike. Dispel -> pike -> heal off the pike attacks. Orchid vs escape heroes can be amazing. Slark, Storm, even slark if you surprise him and he can't get dark pact off. Also Ursa to prevent Rage. Then later it's still useful to use vs supports when carries have BKB, or wait out the BKB then use it. TA's Ags Shard is TOP TIER. Especially vs any channeling hero, VERY long range instant cancel on some really strong channelled abilities. Ags Sceptre is a great BoTs alternative to combat split push. If TA can kill the splitter she will be able to counter the split push and be back in the fight within 15 seconds. Also a superb farming item. If you have another greedy core you can access both side lanes and some jungle camps REALLY easily with it, leaving more jungle camps spare for the other core without hurting yourself.
I just really love your content and you are doing a great job and i would love to see a guide for position 4 in this patch. I am having a bad time this patch and i am on a losing streak really bad and i feel like i am doing smth wrong. Last 2 big patches before this one i was able to climb 1.2k mmr with your guides and tips. I hope you will see this comm!
I don't care about what you guys get, you guys are plebs compared to me. I just breathed once this morning, and then I got 5 TI wins back to back because of this video.
One thing to note about the traps, you should keep 2-3 NOT placed, this is so you can use them during fights/setups, without having to reset your older traps around the map which would waste a bunch of time.
last day i had 7game as TA safe lane ...being bullied pretty much everytime losed 6 games...multiple rotations...only once i had an Ogre man up dealing with Nyx and slardar in my lane, my tower survived 15minutes and died 2time...had decent cs count at the end of my lane ..but still. When i'm playing pa Jugg nobody mess with me but whenever i pick TA i feel squishy and im genuinely scared of joining fights :/
A year late, same but then I realized that TA is meant to be a mid hero because she deals a huge damage early (peak around 10-30 mins in game), then she kinda falls off at late game because late game items are strong and carries are fast enough to shreds her refraction
So in my opinion the best TAs actually do sometimes blink agressively and make stuff happen. They use their vision advantage from traps to find favourable fights.
It’s usually unnecessary. She farms so fast and safely that simply playing her own farm wins the game for her team. I agree that you should look to make plays, but it’s so damn important to be patient with your blink.
As long as you own the cosmetic that applies that affect to the spell, you can use the effect without using the cosmetic. Simply click on the dropdown over the ability that changes with cosmetics and change it to whichever you prefer.
watched this game in my low bracket matches in turbo and casual to train, and if no one trolls the game by any means I manage to not die a single time with TA even against 3 counters in multiple matches
Salves were always a thing to carries, but you would only see that in high elo marches usually where the carry knew she would need a slave after a big trade to have an advantage over an enemy, imagine the carry going full up after you spent all your mana on him
I just had insane TA game... it was ridicolous, enemy chased me around my jungle, blocked half of my jungle with wards and the moment I showed up on wave it felt like they all TPed to tho closest tower and killed me in 1500MMR, I was compltetly useless entire game, I don't think this is hero for me :( . in my 250 games I never played game like this where enemy just made it their absolute mission to never to let me as pos1 farm.
Extra tips: Without psi blades, ta is meele range, so be careful against breaks As bsj said, the lower armor hero spills more damage, so in lane try to psi blades through range creeps a lot It is possible to triple stack meld on rosh with an arcane, so try taking rosh if you have arcane/dd. Arcane might possibly be a little faster than dd depending on stage of the game DL helps you farm faster, but if you're farming ancients more deso first would definitely make it faster
Great video! Can you do Sven next I feel he’s a very under appreciated carry just because most people (in my bracket at least which is guardian) don’t understand when and how to use him in teamfights.
@@nordbard5027 as mentioned in the video, ta blocks a large amount of short instances damage, which lina does. dragon slave, light strike array, and laguna can all be negated with refraction.
@@nordbard5027 you're clearly not thinking critically enough. from early laning stages, i'd say ta is a good matchup against lina, not the best, but favorable. unless lina is a smurf and you're 1-2k below the player's real mmr, you're just a bad player if you can't win ta against lina during the laning phase, given that it's a 1v1 mid, as lina needs to cast spells in the laning stage to even harass you, and with 1-3 lvls in refraction, the damage she outputs generally gets mitigated. in mid to late game, still the same, as lina need to cast spell to at least zone out ta or disable her, but at that point of the game ta already has bkb and can easily burst a squishy af lina. to counter your statement, unless ta is just brain dead, she'll obviously won't just stand there and get right clicked by the opposing hero :D
So afk farm as much as you can while avoiding most interactions with other people and then just AA them to death 40 minutes later... I really dont understand how is this supposed to be fun. Friend is trying to get me into dota 2 and so far I can't find a hero I can have fun with :/, maybe Im just burnout of mobas I just really dont know where the neuron activation is in this game.
Not only a great TA guide, but one of the best guides I've seen in a while. Shame I can't upvote twice.
I'll upvote for you

Thank you for your insight BSJ. This helped me understand better what TA's role in game is and how to best use her in a teamfight.
"how to play the fastest farming mid" "guys this guide is primarily about carry templar"
lmao right wtf
He changed it
@@tobivan3190 smh he didnt even love react my comment, shame on you brian i know you're reading this
ideally you don't want your mid to farm as much as TA does, it makes your carry farmless

I like how different BSJ and Waga thinks on TA
thanks for great content keep up the great work

have u tried trll warlord with hurricane pike?

Best guide for ta out there.
Considering the new patch, should i start salve instead of Tangos?
If u duo with a friend in the same lane.. Yes, ask the person to get an extra set of tangos instead of salve

He does. I noticed it too.
