Ahh the adventure begins 👏! Such a cozy evening you had. All snug and well fed. I’m happy for you both to have made this trip. The ocean/sea is spectacular. Living in the middle USA, I need to travel over 20 hours or so to poke my foot in one! You’re very fortunate! Mary

There are actually 4 engines. Fairly regularly they have problems and operate with 3.
It was the last wet day for a while. And you were nowhere near the no-fly zone.

Interesting re the restricted drone flying . I will remember that .
I got permission to fly my drone next to the main airport on Shetland isles I few years ago . After talking to an airport official , I was given air traffic controls phone number. It was early on a Sunday morning with no flights due in from the mainland until mid day.
Taking photos of an Iron Age Broch settlement . Checked in with air traffic control prior to launching and given a brief ,then phoned back once completed with drone powered off.

Thank you for another interesting and informative video, I do so enjoy virtually touring with you. Having only recently discovered your channel I’m catching up on your amazing back catalogue! I’m not sure if you’ve covered it before but if not, a question about drone flying what app do you use to determine no-fly zones? Thanks again and enjoy the IOM, it’s a lovely isle and birth place of the Gibb brothers, better know as the Bee Gees

The cost of taking the ferry to the IOM is astronomical, you need a second mortgage. There is no competition just the one company and I am afraid they rip you off.

It is a shame as it is beyond the budget of some people. On the other hand it keeps the number of tourists down. There needs to be a middle ground somewhere.
