Hi folks in this episode I say we are back next week but that is wrong. We will be back with a new series on 17th of January 2025. Click subscribe and turn on all notifications to get notified. Thanks for watching and we wish you all a happy new year for 2025. ❤️
Loved watching your adventures thanks for sharing. Dogs off leads have been a huge problem for us this year on & off caravan sites, I don’t understand why dog owners think it’s ok to have a dog to wonder about in public places, our puppy has been nearly attacked a number of times, but the owners just Don’t care, the rules on sites say Dogs on leads, campsites are not dog parks to run free around.
There is no way I would stay on that CL with those three dogs loose. One, because I would feel intimidated and two, I would be worried about stepping in something unsavoury! Great vlog thanks. Wishing you a Happy and healthy new year.
Loved the video touring the castle, pack of dogs no thank you, I have a small dog and if I saw that I would of driven straight off out of there, happy new year to you both ❤
Hello Ken and Carol. Thanks so much for the lovely video, I enjoyed it so much. Hope that you both are doing good. Your dinner looks delicious. Hope that you have a wonderful day. Take care.
You can't beat soup bulked out with beans..!! My go to winter belly warmer, It's so nice in the depths of British winter, to see beautiful green trees/countryside, To remind us of what's to come within months! Hope you both had a wonderful Christmas with all your friends and family, All the very best both ❤
Another great video, thank you. Happy new year. I agree with you as a dog owner, personally I don’t think you can trust any dog absolutely 100% however well trained they are.
Wow, thanks for another great video! I love to watch your travels. And yes, those big puppies would have scared me. And I have a Doodle! Sweet dogs until they see a bunny or cat! Looking forward to the next series! Sherry ❤🇨🇦🐶
With you on the dog point, the trouble with 'dog people', is they humanise dogs, that doesn't end well. They were big, powerful and in a pack 😬 Great videos, only been a subscriber a few months so new to your channel, Have a great New year guys ❤🙏
Thank you, Carol and ken, for another fantastic video. I loved the history of the castle/horse in battle, also ken I'll give the shoe laces ago,im always having trouble with mine ,All the Best for the New Year to you both.😊X
I’m a classic Doctor Who fan so thanks for saying what you said! I helped out a lot with Doctor Who stars at American and British sci if conventions, and it was a golden age I’ll never forget.
I am a dog lover and owner but would not have wanted to get out of the van with those animals loose. I always wonder why people want to keep dogs like that. Thank you for another interesting vlog.
Thanks Ken and Carol for another great video,Wales is certainly lovely place, and i myself love wandering around castles, stately homes and history, where ever i travel,Greetings from Stockholm Sweden
I hope you had a lovely Christmas. Thanks for your wonderful videos over the past year (and beyond!). I have a fear of dogs that I don’t know. It goes back to my teen days when I was walking home late at night. A very large Alsatian spotted me and chased me! Luckily a phone box was nearby which I promptly ran into! About a half hour later I spotted a policeman on patrol who came to my aid and he walked me to my home which was only round the corner! The dog just disappeared back to its home! 😅 look forward to new series next year!
I am a dog owner, and have been around dogs since I was a small child and I don’t let mine off to run about. I really do not like it when I am out walking them and some people have their dog off lead, it drives me mad when they can’t control them and I have go another route to avoid them racing up to mine. The owners are not watching, but if they are they are shouting to tell me they are friendly, but one of my dogs is very nervous of other dogs and feels threatened when on a lead. When the owners are not looking, their dogs could be fouling anywhere, so it is not being picked up, don’t get me started… oh it seems I have 😂. Love your videos! ❤
I'm 66 I'm not changing the way I tie my shoe laces now😂 All the best for 2025 we'll be watching every Friday. Happy new year 🎉 Malcolm and Sheila from Workington on the edge of the lake district.
Hiya Guys, Another great and very informative video, they are really so interesting to watch and very relaxing. May I take this opportunity to wish you both a very HAPPY NEW YEAR and enjoy the rest you deserve it!. ❤
Thank you Carol and Ken, great video as always. Personally, I would have been terrified of those dogs. Can't wait to see your next videos, looks like Hever Castle and maybe Woburn. Happy New Year. Keep well ❤x
Hi Carol and Ken, another great video really enjoyed it, I don't know how Ken managed to walk beside those dog's see you both soon 💖🙂💖xxxx ( happy new - year xx
Watching as per on a quiet Sunday morning with a cuppa tea 🍵 and dunking biscuits 😋 👌 the roaming dogs 🐕 😮looked friendly enough BUT.....hos often have we heard that said! Wouldn't want to be alone amongst a group of these type of animals, you just never know 😮😮😮😮hope you've finished off the fudge🤔🤔roses & celebrations are diminishing fast 😂😂😂😂😂🎉
I live about a 10 minute drive from caerphilly and im yet to go inside the castle, its lovely in the summer outside the grass is just like a sea of daisies its lovely.
Great last vlog from Wales 👍. You visited some beautiful places with lots of history, love it. I agree on the dogs, one can never underestimate the situation. I'm glad they were friendly. Happy new year 🎉
Very nice video, you 2 take all of us to such lovely places and we certainly appreciate it.😊 see you both in a couple of weeks. Take care and God bless.
Hi folks, another lovely video. I have 5 large dogs, the only time i ever walk them together is if we are going to a local dog park, in which they will be the only dogs in there, if taking to the local park i walk them individually, well i cheat im not walking i have a power chair, but the dogs walk, the reason for this is im very aware of the affect large dogs bounding over to say hello can be daunting, my dogs are all trained to obey on a command, it also gives me individual time with them, a bonding experience for both, i have never understood why some owners allow there animals to wander freely in a public space, unless they are in the vicinity how can they say there animal's are under control, you are very right to be wary of these situations.
Great video! Those dogs looked intimidating. the stones in a circle in Tredegar House are Eisteddfod Stones from (1988) when a gathering of Welsh poets and cultural celebrations are held every year in different areas of Wales, they leave this behind.
Thanks for a year of interesting places to visit, good food and your company. 17th January is a long way off, enjoy Christmas and the new year. Happy New Year to you both.
Thanks for all you've shown us in this video, the huge castle was awesome, the narrow lanes frightening, the last mansion had very interesting historical facts and last but not least the dogs, am a dog lover but respect them when 3 come bounding up to me, not to be trusted... Keep safe...
Loved the Vlog ! Tredegar house looked great. Those dogs although they looked docile you do wonder what would happen if our 3 met them. As you say a pack! I think many folks would be scared of them. Thanks for the shoutout guys. Was really nice to have you here. We must do it again ! Glad you liked the Juicy Marbles…. A bit. 🤣. Have a good short break. Xx
Lovely to meet you all at last. We look forward to doing it again ❤️. As for the Juicy Marbles I have to confess they didn’t convert me but luckily we have an excellent butcher within walking distance. 😁👍
Hey guys , lovely video. I'm not afraid of dogs ,but am very cautious, and I would not be comfortable with those dogs on the loose,I would avoid a place like that. We have had people attacked by loose dogs here and seriously injured, including a child not far away , has life changing injuries. You just can't know what way a dog or dogs will react.
Sorry to hear about those attacks. Children are especially vulnerable. Just goes to show how careful we need to be around dogs we are not familiar with 👍
The memorial to the horse reminded me of visiting Deene Park as a child, where the stuffed head of a Charge of the Light Brigade horse was displayed in a glass case! Those dogs would worry me too, as dog owner.
Lovely video and I LOVE the humor attached to that castle!!! When I saw the Spector holding up the bulk of the tower and chuckled as there were a few places that came to mind where folks might get a laugh that a ghost was holding up.say…the Leaning Tower of Pisa? The oldest house in England? Where else? Windsor Castle, certainly! Great video! I wish, for both of you, that every trip runs smoothly and everyone you need is where you need them, when you arrive!! Thank you for a WONDERFUL YEAR and I hope 2025 is kind to us all! Happy New Year!!!
Lovely video really enjoyed it. I also think that I would have been a bit nervous about the three dogs, I like doge but three would have been a little too much for me. Have enjoyed all of your videos this year, so looking forward to 2025 . Wishing you both a very happy new year, and hope it is good to you. See you next time😊😊
🤣shoelaces!!! Use Velcro fasteners!😁Ken I share your distrust of huge dogs like that. My little pipsqueak would get herself killed ! She hates all dogs , even the smell of dogs on other people. She’s a very vocal, very aggressive Chihuahua. Some say they are more fearsome than big dogs😅
Fantastically edited and entertaining video ken and Carol. I have sat all cosy in my camper van in Chester and thoroughly enjoyed watching your last Welsh adventure. I'm with you in regards to those dogs Ken. I would have been terrified, they were a pack of very powerful beasts. No matter how friendly people say the are, it only takes one squealing child to rub them up the wrong way a nd well... we've all seen how these things end up. Sadly. Looking forward to you south east trips. As always it's been a pleasure. Thanks for all your hard work. xx
I wish you both a very Happy and Healthy new year. I really do appreciate the joy and relaxation your wonderful videos bring. Kind of feel like you're my friends.. I suffered heart failure in May and have had to give up my beloved Pint. I feel a kindred fellowship with Ken in 2024. Hopefully I may get to say hello if you return to Ireland. Thank you both again.
Another great video, thank you. I'm a huge dog lover, and we have our own German Short Haired Pointer, who we ensure is on a lead at all times on campsites. I would be unhappy staying at the CL with three large dogs roaming free. I think we would have left without staying and would refer our concerns to the CAMC. The vegan steaks looked interesting. Loved Caerphilly Castle and Tredegar House. What a fantastic horse. Looking forward to the next series. Have a lovely break. Happy New Year ❤ xxxx
I’m 62 years old and a little slow on the uptake, just today I realized I can watch UA-cam on my Roku, lol. Nonetheless, I watched your final 2024 episode on our Smart TV! Enjoy your well deserved break, see you on Jan 17th, take care.
Thanks again for the exciting and informative tour! I will use that shoe tying technique from now on! Those dogs did look scary to me also! ❤ Happy NewYear ❤
Hi ken and carol, enjoyed this video at the hospital, love 💕 the history lessons carol. As for the dogs I would not step out with a pack of dogs, you never know, they could just turn and that's not good. ❤ Hope you had a good Christmas ⛄. And a Happy and Healthy New Year to you both 🎉👏❣️ X X X
Very enjoyable video. Although the dogs seemed fine, I wouldn’t have let our old dog out around them without knowing them. Ours was attacked by a dog and it was an awful sight to witness and impossible to get the dog to let go. Over 20 stitches later... Wishing you both a very happy new year and I’ll look forward to the National Trust series. X
You were seriously brave driving through those narrow lanes around Rudry & Cefn Mably they are horrendous and you get a lot of idiots driving through them, Our daughter lives in Trethomas just outside Caerphilly and I always go the longer way round from where we live as i hate driving through them. Hoping you both had a lovely Christmas and wishing you both a very Happy & Prosperous New Year
Who did the dogs belong to I wonder. Anyway , great vlog as ever and really looking forward to the national trust tours. I've visited them all where I live so eager to see what's further afield.
So interesting love the Castle incredible Building and the State home beautiful.thank you both for showing the video. 😊😊 A very happy New year to you both 🎉
I have had dogs all my life andhave never had an aggressive dog, but i would not allow my dogs to wander around in a place where strangers, possibly with their own dogs, will be. I would have just got out of the van and spoken to the dogs, as I love them but I appreciate that not everyone feels the way I do about dogs. See you next year!!
I think you were right to be wary of those dogs, two or more they become a pack and anything could spook them. Always trust your instincts as I'm sure you do knowing what you used to do. Happy New Year to you both and look forward to more great content in the new year.
Llantony Abbey, Raglan Castle, White Castle well worth next time. Some really beautiful places to visit here just not always promoted well, I think. I think the dogs were fine but not ideal. We found that our large breed were vulnerable to false accusations and if they reacted to aggressive/scared dogs belonging to others, usually small dogs🙄, then we were assumed at fault. Wish you well for 2025 x🏴x
Like you Ken, I came across quite a few challenging dogs on the job and despite being a dog owner, I would steer well clear of those three. Every time a dog is put down because of attacking someone we hear “they were well behaved pets!”

I would be nervous to get out of the van with those dogs roaming around. Thanks for your usual wonderful video and Happy New Year to you both.
I love dogs & have owned dogs, but I agree with you, those dogs should not have been roaming free

We have a Shih Tzu who always comes camping with us, and we definitely would not feel happy with three huge dogs roaming freely around the campsite! 😬
I wouldn't venture out with a pack of dogs like that roaming free - no matter how friendly they are said to be! You were right to be so circumspect.

Great last video, have a good new year break, catch you on 17th.
Happy New Year💚See you next year.
Wonderful castle and town. Great vlog. Happy New year!
Thanks for those recommendations. We need another trip to Wales 😄👍
I miss all the lovely food you used to have on. But I understand as I have Type 2 as well.😢
Like you Ken, I came across quite a few challenging dogs on the job and despite being a dog owner, I would steer well clear of those three. Every time a dog is put down because of attacking someone we hear “they were well behaved pets!”
